Brad & Angelina Hit Texas Theater
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie take three of their four children to the Cinemark Movie Theater at Southpark Meadows in Austin, Texas over the weekend.
According to PITNB, Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, all went to watch the family movie Horton Hears A Who? or Nim’s Island.
Shiloh must have napped this one out again! Zzzzzzz.
Angie, 32, and Brad, 44, are adding one more to their brood this summer!

Only someone without kids or someone who is really reaching to slam them would make an issue out of leaving a 2 year old at home instead of taking her to the movies. My son at 3 1/2 was a total menace at Ratatouille. My husband took the kids, I was supposed to have “me” time. Well, it was short lived cuz I had to pick up my son during the flick!

I can tell you from experience, you do not take a 2 year to the movie. They like to run around and we regreted taking my son. We spent most of the time running after him or trying to keep him quiet. Angie looks smaller here then when in a dress.
I took my 2 yr. old to the movies and we sat in the front, but not long, he wanted down and started running. Geez, I had to chase him and put him back on his seat but he was screaming; so I just grabbed him and walked out! Since then, I’ve just been renting movies. I watch at home and he can do his thing.
a 2 year old DOES NOT have the attention span to sit in a dark theatre for more than 45 minutes let alone 120 mins. they are extremely busy at that age and are very vocal when they are being held in one place for too long. 3 yr olds barely have the attention span but they pay more attention to the bright colors and cartoon characters and tend to want to ‘go along’ with the big kids.
For all those going on or about to go on about Shiloh…SAVE IT FOR SURI WHO GOES NOWHERE. Now that child needs your pathetic and fake sympathy.

after many “movie trips” with my own 4 kids, I’d say Zee was lucky to go herself. 4 and up. when a 2 yr old is ready to get up or is cranky or wants the “lights on” they don’t whisper they yell at the top of their lungs. 3 yr olds are almost similar unless they have older siblings along. My oldest son was the only one to go to the movies at 3 and only because his older sister and cousins came along and I knew he’d behave. the twins are our youngest and i wouldn’t take them to the movies until they were 4 1/2 -5 because they were just to darn busy and wouldn’t sit still at home, so I knew a dark theatre was out.

JJ, that is a rather silly comment as to Shiloh’s absence from the Pitt family’s movie visit. A two year old at a movie - what exactly is she supposed to get from the experience? I can imagine that perhaps Zahara was also bored stiff - I doubt that her attention span would last the full length of the film. In any case, thanks for the pictures - it is still lovely to see them out as a family.
They are just relaxing and having a day with the family. How normal. I wonder if the baby kicked during the movie?

Geez, Jared, I can’t believe you don’t know this - according to the current Lifelesss & Styleless Brad & Angie don’t take Shiloh on outtings because she’s started the terrible twos a few months early and is “going through a cranky stage” and she’s prone to “crying, whining, tantrums and won’t take her nap and it’s a struggle to get her to eat dinner”! So you can see why Brad and Angie don’t take her out with the other kids.
This, of course, is the same rag who also had a 76-day “Where’s Shiloh” countdown were they all but accused Brad & Angie of having Shiloh locked in a dark closet to protect her because the family was in danger because they live in such a dangerous neighborhood in LA. Shucks! Can’t believe they went to the theater that I used to go to. That Cinemark is over a decade old. I moved to the north side and go to the new Cinemark at Round Rock. I notice that they are frequently seen somewhere on the south side or downtown Austin.

I would like to thank all the common sense posters once again and of course the family looks gorgeous.
I’m guessing now with all the news out now how the kids don’t get along and are constantly hurting Shiloh, they probably try and get the ones who beat her up away for some special time so Shiloh can be left alone. I hope they can soon get this sorted out before Shiloh really gets hurt besides bruises bites and broken teeth. She could wind up with scars.

Zahara is too young to go to the movies too, it’s usually children 4 and up who can enjoy a movie..yet they take her. If they were trying to be fair they would leave both girls at home until they were older.
I love Zee but i kinda feel she might be too young to sit thru a long movie; BUT - i think she’s at that age where she is able to talk her parents into doing almost whatever she wants.

I’m not a big fan of his as an actor, but I went because an actor from Passions played the grinch as a child. Yes, I watched Passions for the first couple of years, I said it! LOL Looking back, that soap was so bad!

Z is not too young to go to the movies, Shiloh is too young to go to the movies. The temperament of the child needs to be taken into consideration when deciding who gets to do what. Apparently you do not have children or you would understand this. This is not rocket science.

I’m not a big Carrey fan either (or Sandler - but I did like Click) too much “guy humor” for me. My 20 year old daughter wants to see Horton so we may make a date to go - maybe I can talk her into something else. I haven’t watched soaps in probably 20 years - I’m sure they are all still about the same. :roll:

You do know that 2 years old have regular medical obligations right ? and that pediatricians are the ones who can detect without any doubt any scars or weird behaviour due to any bad behaviour of their entourage and he/she has the obligation to refer it to the right administration including the police.

All my nieces and nephews were able to go to a kids movie between the ages of 3 -3.5 . Shiloh is not even two years old. It will probably be at least a year before she is old enough. I am sure expeienced parents like Brad and Angelina know when each child they have is ready to certain acivities such as attending a movie.

You know, I was thinking the same thing when I started to read the many “Where’s Shiloh?” comments. I mean, it’s no mean feat to take kids anywhere public, let alone to a movie theater. And I’m sure that if it was one of the two movies mentioned, “Mims Island” or “Horton,” I bet it probably was the latter just because it’s a cartoon as opposed to a live action, thinking movie. I believe the kids will be more rapt, with their munchies in tow, of course, with that one.
Or, perhaps Angie took just Maddox to “Mims” while Brad took the other two, who are younger. It’s much more age-appropriate. And Mad seems so much more sophisticated in his entertainment for a kid and at his age, based on other places that we’ve been privliged to see the J-P kids go to.

You can ask all these people who are creating great charitable projects how they became inspired to do what they are doing. I’m not trying to talk down to you, be mean etc., but the magazine that started the story on Shiloh getting hurt by her siblings, was not exactly a credible news source. It was and is one known for exaggeration, lies and plain stupidity. None of the reputable sources (supposedly ones that check out the details like CNN, Fox, NY Times etc) ran that story. The only ones that picked that story up were other gossip blogs and tabs and the blogs that did pick it up were mostly unfriendly ones to the JP’s.

Senior,yes we did live close to bombing ,In fact i was with one of my sons downtown he had been in a wreck the day before and we had to be at the insurance company that morning of the 19 th,we were just leaving when our bldg. shook we thought it was sonic boom,and as we passed a few blocks east of the social security bldg.we saw people running and smoke and just crazy things happening,when we got close to home my other son met us ,he said my husband was worried because we were downtown….Yes we lost neighbors and church members it was so sad,the 19th of April is our wedding anniversary,we don’t hardly celebrate that day like we use too.

We took my grandson to the movies when he was 3 and had to stop him from hitting the back of the seat and jumping from one person to the other. He finally, thank God, went to sleep. He had some candy “Swizzler” that he was beating the seat with and was about to hit the person sitting in front of us with it when I grabbed his hand. Whew, that would have been close. “Z” may have gone to sleep in the movie. My dtr was the only person I know who would sit and watch part of a movie and not move about. Not my son or grandson.
Brad and Angie are just enjoying family time with their children and what they do or wear is no one’s business.
And yes, one does have intimate relations during pregnancy!

Well I am glad your family wasn’t hurt, but it was terrible, it is kinda bad when something terrible happens on a date that is important to you. We can give thanks that you and your husband are still together, so Happy Anniversary; I will remember that in addition, first the bitter,(memories) then the sweet.( your family) BTW I think sometimes 1 child can be just as difficult as 6. I think the secret is when you have a lot of children most parents have to insist on a bit more discipline. I find children from big families rather well behaved for the most part. You have everything balanced out 3 + 3 very cool.

They do grow up so fast - mine are 20 and 16. My son (16 now) when he was little ran circles around me, lol - I had to stay one step ahead of that child. :) Do all of yours live around you? That is so nice to have family around to help. Mine is scattered thru several states, I miss having everyone in the same place. lol at them cleaning up - that’s the best part.

about every 2/3 years I get a call that something is happening and its only 1 hour away. The summer in Cleveland would be great you guys have the Lakes. Just that the summer is when everyone comes to New York. It is really a great city in the summer.(NY) so I take vacations August - May hot or cold destinations, May, June, July, I love New York.

I agree with both Frenchy and mystify and I like to point out how Angelina’s influence has extended to fashion as well. Every hater wanted to leap out the woodworks and criticize her flowing brown dress this year, and every pregnant woman was still in the trend of wearing tight clothes and heels, for instance, J.Lo. and Alba. Suddenly I can’t spot a pregnant woman who is NOT ina flowing dress, most especially tye dye. This was all in, and Angelina was daring enough to do it first, and now I don’t hear any comments about anyone wearing “a formless sack” anymore, it’s in, because it’s not longer “unsafe” to do.

Because she’s not old enough to go to the movies yet! DUH! Would you take a 23-month-old child to the movies? You probably would, and you’d have the manager asking you to leave when your kid couldn’t keep quiet because a child that little doesn’t belong at the movies yet.
Now you’ll probably whine, “So why don’t they do things Shiloh can take part in?” The activities a not-yet-two-year-old can take part in are pretty limited. Why should the older children be deprived of activities they can enjoy just because Shiloh isn’t old enough yet? That’s how it goes in families. He moved to Buzznet, which is an outsourced server farm…just like Perez, Dlisted, Gawker, Defamer and a bunch of other popular blogs & celeb sites use. It’s cheaper, faster and can handle more hits than a stand-alone server run by one guy who’s not an IT expert. When you sign up with some of these companies you can’t always control what’s called “server side includes” - which would include automatic error messages like the “waiting moderation” and “duplicate submission” messages as well as page counters, site search engines and things like that.
The tabloid covers, though? Personally I just think Jared’s having a little fun with the ridiculous stories they come up with. If you’re really curious about it, though, why don’t you e-mail him and ask him why he’s using tabloid covers/stories for thread topics?

yep, I’m working so if there is a lull between posts it’s because I had to do some work. My son has his permit and should have his license by the first week of May. lol at the backseat driver - he tells me I make him crazy - I don’t usually say a lot but there are fingernail marks in the seat.

You are on the same boat with me! I returned from far east a week ago taking the kids, followed by jet-lag x3. Now kids are back to schedule but I’m still messed up! I crashed tonight at 9PM, only to wake up at 1:30AM and finished something I had to do, now can’t go to sleep LOL! My daughter’s school bus comes in 4 hours!
My son is a sweetheart and my delight but oh my, he is a hand-full LOL! I have to have absolutely EVERYTHING x 2, otherwise a fight will break out as he wants everything his big sister has. He is completely obssessed with trains and cars, overtaking our living room LOL!

Jessica Chastain has been cast opposite Brad Pitt in the drama “Tree of Life,” written and directed by Terrence Malick.
River Road is financing the pic, which began shooting recently in Texas. Bill Pohlad is producing with Sarah Green (”The New World”) and Grant Hill.

A couple of weeks ago, we told about a new project targeting hunger, health and hygiene for Springfield school students.
Doug Pitt helped organize the “Care to Learn” fund and joins us this morning with an update. Thanks for joining us Doug.
Rob - First, tell us a little bit more about Care to Learn.
Doug - Health, Hunger and Hygiene. The idea was to help kids that show up on a school day with an immediate need. We need to get to them quick, obviously. So we set up this fund to do just that. Last week, we had a kid need clothes and food. And within 20 minutes - from the phone call - counselors, teachers, principals, make a call to the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools. And they’re on it. They now have the funds to address that urgent need.
Rob - It’s kind of shocking how many people are in need here in the Ozarks. There are a ton of area kids in need.
Doug - You know, I’ve lived here for 40 years, and it was shocking to me that 50% of our elementary students are on free or reduced lunch. But I was hearing a lot of stories about siblings sharing toothbrushes and just things that - are easy to fix. Obviously, it takes money to get it done. But I wanted to address that emergency in the morning. And that’s what Care to Learn does.

New Orleans tourism officials tout city as fun again in new summer ad campaign
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Tourism officials on Tuesday unveiled a $5.7 million advertising campaign with the message that hurricane-ravaged New Orleans is fun again.
The campaign is aimed at bolstering visitation during the slower summer season.

“Come Out and Play” is the theme of ads set to run across a range of mediums, regionally and nationally, even in Times Square, touting the city’s music, food and cultural and family attractions. The New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corp. rolled out the campaign with a jazz band and dancers.
It came a day after the release of a survey that showed visitation grew from 3.7 million in 2006, the year after Hurricane Katrina, to 7.1 million last year, and on the heels of a series of high-profile events in the city, including college football bowl games, Mardi Gras and the NBA All-Star game.
“We are on some kind of roll this year,” Mayor Ray Nagin said, adding that he expects it to continue.
Sandy Shilstone, president and chief executive of the tourism marketing group, hopes it does.
Tourism has been a leading driver of the local economy. But she cited potential problems in attracting visitors in the months ahead, ranging from the slowing U.S. economy and high gas prices to the weak dollar and airline woes. The good news is that those issues are facing cities around the country and New Orleans has selling points — culture, music, a European feel in the touristy French Quarter — that other places don’t have, she said.
She said her view on the rest of the year as “cautiously optimistic.”
The “Come Out and Play” theme was selected after research showed a desire by people to see New Orleans as fun again, Shilstone said. Since Katrina, tourism officials have tried to sell prospective travelers on the idea that the city is open for business, but they say they’ve often come up against misperceptions, such as the notion that parts of New Orleans remained under water, concerns about violent crime and misgivings about having a good time when people are still rebuilding their lives.
After pulling off a series of successful events and bringing up tourism numbers, officials now feel they’ve turned a corner, said Lea Sinclair, a spokeswoman for the Tourism Marketing Corp.
“One of the biggest things we’re seeing now is, making sure people understand that it’s OK to come and visit and have fun, because you’re helping the people who are still struggling,” she said. “It’s not inappropriate at all.”

Violent clashes in Tibet are threatening to overshadow China’s hosting role of the Summer Olympics in August.
Bush said that if China’s leaders ever were to reach out to Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader, “they’d find him to be a really fine man, a peaceful man.”
Bush has previously appealed directly to Chinese President Hu Jintao on the matter.

Ah—– Cannes pics and videos were so much fun! We got to see a lot of Angie and Brad. It was really magical! Lot of excitement and fun. It is nice to see Brad having time to spend with the family. One poster said that it would be nice for Brad and Angie to have a date nite. They are probably going out just the two of them, just no pics. We are not able to see what they do 24/7. After all it is their life. I am sure they spend time together and also with ALL the children. As for Brad’s shirt, Brad has always dressed the way he wants. George Clooney joked that Brad Pitt is bad for his ego
George Clooney has joked he finds it difficult spending time with Brad Pitt - because it affects his confidence.
The Leatherheads star - who worked with Brad in the Ocean’s trilogy - finds working with the Hollywood hunk is bad for his ego, according to Closer magazine.
George told London’s Heart radio: “Swooning is Brad Pitt kinda stuff. I’ve travelled with Brad; it’s hard on the ego.”
The former Sexiest Man Of The Year winner also joked he is not friends with his rival.
He said: “Here’s the thing, I’ve gotta be honest with you. I don’t like Brad, but I will continue to work with him because he has some compromising pictures of me!”
George’s next film Burn After Reading, directed by the Coen Brothers, co-stars Brad, Tilda Swinton and John Malkovich.
He said: “It’s a fun movie.”
But the 46-year-old star - who is currently dating former cocktail waitress Sarah Larson - revealed he makes sure he takes a break from filming every year.
He said: “I try to spend from May to September at my home in Italy. I call it Casa Clooney, which isn’t egotistical at all, is it?”

Some actor has some foreign wife who he keeps for tax reasons (and also to protect him from girlfriends wanting to wed) and that’s sort of funny and weird.
This A list actor. 95% of the time film. Single and allegedly never married. This is the first year he used this accountant and when he was reviewing the forms he noticed that he was listed as single on the tax forms. Our actor then proceeded to tell the accountant that the actor has been married for many years. The fact that he has only seen his foreign wife once in the interim did not change the fact that he was married. Our actor apparently does send money sometimes to his wife, but apparently does so in his corporate name.
The accountant got the feeling that the wife actually has no idea who she is actually married to. Our actor meanwhile loves the deduction that comes with being married. It apparently is the one thing he really enjoys about being married. He also uses it as an excuse when a woman tries to pressure him into marriage. He explains to prospective future brides that although he would love to get married to them he is unfortunately already married and the process for divorce will take a year or two.
In the meantime why not just live together or be girlfriend and boyfriend. Invariably the relationship dies out before the divorce becomes final. The actor never starts the paperwork and has never been challenged by the IRS about being married. They must not read the tabloids.

I’ve been rewatching AJ’s movies this past two weeks, now am so desperate to see a new Brad Pitt movie. I donno why but am just feeling like am missing something. I’ve tried watching some BP dvd’s that i have but its not going away.

Do All of brad Pitt’s new movies use the special effects that benjamin button has to use now? I just don’t see how he could EVER, EVR, ever play a man who is supposed to be younger than 47. He is playing a role that was meant for the late Heath Ledger who was about 20 years younger than Brad Pitt. The hdtv reviewers always complain about bp’s looks on the big screen, he looks too old and pock marked , and his eyes are lifeless. Wth hollywood?
just realized . that is probably the reason why he tries to dress like Justin Timberlake… he needs his audience to look at him like he’s still a young guy. cook, i kept thinking about this post last night after i went to bed. i always thought before my dad got so sick that i didn’t know what to say to others in such a situation. i have found since my dad’s illnesses that what is said is not as important as just extending yourself to someone and letting them know good wishes and prayers are there. so all of that to say this, thanks for extending yourself and sending good wishes.
