Cameron Diaz’s Father Dies From Pneumonia

Cameron Diaz’s father died suddenly early Tuesday morning, reports TMZ.

Emilio Diaz, 58, was in “terrific health” but then he developed the flu, which then turned into pneumonia.

Production was shut down today on Cam’s current film, My Sister’s Keeper.

Emilio was a second generation Cuban-American who worked as a foreman for an oil company.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Cameron and her family.

I recently lost my father so i know what Cams going through right now.

he was still so young….really sad. i can’t decide what’s worse….a surprise death in the family or a more drawn out decline….both are beyond horrible but there is something to be said about being emotionally prepared. i guess…one is better for the departed and one is better for the loved ones…not much but a bit better. i’ll shut up now.

I f she wants to hide her Latin heritage, she could have changed her name to Dieter without anyone of us knowing about it…I think some immigrants really wanted to be so AMERICAN that they did not pass on the culture and language to their children and grand children..thats ratehr sad…I hope Jesssica “I dont speak spanish” alba realizes that she would even me more famous if she spoke a second language like Salma Hayekk..All hail Hayek
