OlderLuke MacFarlane: I’m Gay
Canadian actor Luke MacFarlane reveals that he is gay in an exclusive interview with Canadian paper Globe and Mail.
“I don’t know what will happen professionally,” MacFarlane said. “That is the fear, but I guess I can’t really be concerned about what will happen, because it’s my truth. … There is this desire in L.A. to wonder who you are and what’s been blaring for me for the last three years is how can I be most authentic to myself - so this is the first time I am speaking about it in this way.”
In next month’s season finale of Brothers & Sisters, Luke, 28, will suit up and say his vows as his character, Scotty Wandell, marries his partner, Kevin Walker.
“From a standing outside perspective, and also as someone who is gay, I think that it’s a very exciting time,” MacFarlane said. “How exciting that we’re saying, ‘This can be part of the cultural fabric, now,’ because it is two series regulars, two people that you invite into your home and you see every week. It’s telling of the beginning of more waves and I’m very proud of that.”
When asked whether or not he was currently dating anyone, Luke declined to comment. And although Luke is not a paparazzi favorite, photogs did catch him hanging out with Prison Break hottie Wentworth Miller last summer.

EVERYONE who knows who he is, ALREADY knows that.
Another thing, why is he practically using Wentworth’s exact words about “being invited into people’s homes every week?” It’s little $#!t like that that bothers me. I had NEVER heard anyone on a series say that before I heard Wentworth say it.
Wentworth has repeatedly said that he IS NOT gay and I believe him, period. Why is it so hard for those who think he is to believe that? They tell fans like me to get a clue. I think they are the ones who should get a clue. Just because someone hangs out with homosexuals, doesn’t make them a homosexual.

I’m going to not try to dwell on it because as my gay friends have told me, it’s never a bad thing if a cute straight guy is actually gay. Wishful thinking is rampant in that regard. Straight guys, as we know, more more money in gay p*** make more money than in straight p***.

gay is like being black in hollywood, your roles are severly limited, why limit yourself by telling being your gay, all these people who are saying it doesn’t matter to me if when is gay, or that luke is, it does matter to Hollywood producers and cast directors, he will never get any leading roles, being an actor and a celebrity implies that people know about your personal life, when something as your sexuality comes it, it changes the way people percieve, you become associated with everything gay, GLAAD starts calling, people (gay) and organizatins (gay pro) starts using you as their poltical puppit, you become owned by a label, its sad, but its reality, its never inn to be GAY, being straight is much easier because people get to know you for your roles, I can’t watch a Jodie Foster movie anymore without thinking wow she is a lesbian, she is lying when she is playing a straight role, or have someone come in a tell me you know she is gay, this will not change for a while, RUMORS are only cool when there rumers, once their confirmed it changes everthing,I see to WENTWORTH, whether he is or not, keep telling people that your straight, and who are we to say that he is gay, only the person in question knows their own sexuality
Come on the reason why Luke hung out with Wentworth last summer
was for a publicity stint. Unknown celebs do that all the time.

He’s been with his artist bf the whole time the gay rumors with him and Wentworth surfaced. I have proof that Went & Luke are NOT and NEVER WAS an item. And it’s obvious Went is not that good a friend of Luke’s either, let alone his bf. Luke’s father passed away in December, 2007 and was buried on December 20, 2007 in Canada where Luke grew up. On the very same day JUST JARED posted photos of Wentworth Christmas shopping in L.A. Obviously Went & Luke were not an item because Went would have been with Luke at his dad’s funeral. So there’s the proof, look it up. And stop saying they were together all because they hung out one day last Summer. The rumor is just that, a STUPID - ASS rumor that should have died by now. Only STUPID - ASS IDIOTS keep it alive.
BTW - JJ should not have mentioned Wentworth’s name when posting Luke’s coming out. That was low! Now this whole gay debate is starting all over again. HOW PATHETIC!

not to fuel the rumor, yea, went did look kinda in a non-smiling mood in his banana rep shopping trip pics. but if the pics were taken on the 18th, and luke’s dad funeral was on the 20th, that means.. what? what’s the custom in canada? did the family wait 2 days? but even if went is upset over the news, why would he be shopping on the day? doesn’t make sense.
