Mary-Kate Olsen Celebrates New Year’s in April
Mary-Kate Olsen (in vintage Missoni) drowns herself in a glittery pastel floor-grazing gown at the “New Year’s In April: A Fool’s Fête” at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York City on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old mini-mogul accessorized with a yellow clutch and a monstrous-sized headband.
The celebrated event was run by the non-profit organization, New Yorkers For Children. Their mission is to improve the lives of children and families by increasing the private sector’s awareness of child welfare issues.

Fashion is not wearing your dead grandmothers XL ‘dress.’ I would like to see the both of them in something productive! and that damn smirk, it’s time to do something different!

She and her sister are like the modern Christina Onassis and her daughter the ugly but megarich.Athina Onassis. They are rich beyond belief but ugly, dumpy, have no sense of style and is just begging for a closted gay man to marry and then divorce so he could live a life of luxruy with her millions with another man. The script is already written people.

Okay. This girl needs help to afford a stylist (or a mirror?). So let’s all pitch in with some of our money : let’s all go out and purchase her latest… music? DVD? Uhh… what does she do again? Oh, that’s right. Nothing!
She is so pretty…why do her AND her sister have to ALWAYS look like they need a high ball and a hot bath? This outfit is ridiculous, NOT fierce!
It looks like an oversized floor rug and the ring on her head looks silly. I’ll give her kudos for having the guts to go to an uppity event like that looking like scruffy kid. LOL!

Man you guys, picking her apart. how about why she is there. people do good things and they get picked apart for what they wear. man grow up. what have you done lately that was good for someone else other then yourselves. i think she looks beautiful, i really think she doesn’t care what you think, she has it going on. to you guys who are picking her apart, how smart are you. you make yourselves look pretty small. try to come up to her level.
She looks like a bag lady. She looks 60 years old! With all of her money, you’d think she’d be a little more articulate. Sheesh. Also, she DESPERATELY needs someone to give her a “make-up makeover”. Poor kid. She looks like she just rolled out of bed.
I like MK, but she has never looked worse, not even when she was sick with anorexia. There is absolutely nothing she could have done to make that get-up any uglier.
But, she did make us notice her, and often that is what fashion is all about. And once we noticed and are talking about her, she served her purpose in being at this event — making the private sector more aware of child welfare issues. So, good going MK!!
