Vanessa Hudgens - “GQ” May 2008
Here is a new photo of Vanessa Hudgens from the May 2008 issue of GQ via Popstar. (Ashton Kutcher is on the cover.)
“If you have paparazzi, you know you’ve gotten somewhere,” the 19-year-old High School Musical star says.
When asked about her nude photo scandal, Vanessa shrugs it off, sayin, “Honestly, you have your ups and downs. But it’s over with and it’s done.”
As for her sophomore album, tentatively titled Identified, she says, “But not to the point where I’m singing I’m so hot! I’m so hot! Boys want me. I’m so hot!”
Vanessa and the gang (including Zac Efron) are currently at a top secret location in Utah shooting the feature film, High School Musical 3.

i always hate the fact that whenever vanessa tries to opens up her mouth, she always gets criticized for whatever words she says. cmon people..it’s taken from a context, just wait for the mag to come out, then go blurt yourself. and yeah, for the haters: no matter how vanessa tries to please you with her words, you always see the wrong in her. so might as well, back off from her thread,cause no matter what you do,vanessa has obviously, had one of the many bestest fans in the world to back her up.

hey all. this is an absolute gorgeous picture of Vanessa. I love her eyes, it sort of make her look mysterious and sexy. I’ve been reading all the posts written on this article. I actually have to disagree with some of the people who said Vanessa’s cocky. “If you have paparazzi, you know you’ve gotten somewhere,” the 19-year-old High School Musical star says. Maybe she was saying it in a kidding tone, like she’s making a funny comment about it not as in wow, im so famous, everyone loves me that kind of thing. “But not to the point where I’m singing I’m so hot! I’m so hot! Boys want me. I’m so hot!” I think she’s just being blunt about it and not trying to find ways to make that phrase of words pretty and fake. I think many young female singers like herself sing songs saying they’re hot and every guy wants them. for an example: Ashley Tisdale. I love her songs and I think they’re awesome. In a way she’s saying that she’s hot, she’s sexy and all the guys want her. It’s just that she didnt say it out loud. I’ll agree that Vanessa can be sorta blunt in her interviews but that means she doesnt try to fake it up. She should maybe rephrase some of her statements so it won’t create commotion like this. I believe Vanessa’s a generally sweet and loving person except the media potray as a spoiled tween princess who got too much fame up in her head. Plus, haven’t you heard what she said on her appearance on Radio Disney. Sometimes she doesnt even want to go outside cause she knows that the paparazzi are all outside waiting for her to come out and she’s tired of it. She said that Ashley was the reason that why Vanessa comes out. Ashley tries convincing her to go out and go shopping and stuff. You guys should listen to the interview. Plus all of you guys said that in her interviews, interviewers only ask her about her personal life and scandal. The interview on radio disney, all they talked about was her new movie, hsm 3 and her new CD coming out. They said no such things as how’s Zac? What do you feel about the scandal or any sort. Everything was strictly about her career so I think you guys should see, read or listen to every interview before judging. Vanessa’s a talented artist and you have to admit that. She’s young and still have a long bright future ahead of her. Gaining more experience from more projects, I believe in future, she’ll be a legendry artist.
P.S: If they didnt ask questions about her personal life, won’t all us, fans go crazy not knowing anything that’s going on in her life like is zanessa still alive? Plus, they STILL ask Zac about his and Vanessa’s trip to Hawaii in interviews and they ask Zac about their relationship as well.

No but i’m sick of you.
Well, am a day late. Lightning struck my modem and wireless, lucky for me, my laptop was untouched. Just got it reinstalled.
Firstly, this is the Vanessa I like, absolutely gorgeous and naturel in her beauty.
2ndly, I have to commend you all, Steph, Kgg, Karen,Troy, lilly, Naomi,tee,Malia,Cindy and whoever else I forgot to mention on
your comments. Your debate was certainly interesting. Had so much reading to catch up.
To add, Zac has always been guarded and chooses his words carefully in his answers. His looks and youth are certainly deceiving. I perceive him to be an intelligent, private and serious individual. Some one did say he used to win debates in school, so that figures. He must find Vanessa a breath of fresh, she certainly complements his seriousness.
Vanessa, on the other hand, comes across as spontaneous, bubbly,enthusiastic and responsive. Just listen to her radio interviews. She is after all 19 and we don’t expect her to be anything but. I personally don’t see anything wrong with her statements and there was nothing cocky or arrogant about them. Anyway, lets wait for the full interview shall we?

It is so easy to misconstrue what a person has said or meant. A good example was with our posters here. Another was a recent statement supposedly made by Alicia Keys about Gangster rapping and the Government. Can’t quite recall, but she has had to clarify herself as it had got the rappers riled up.

Anyway,as far as the haters go..what ever Vanessa said wouldn’t be right.All that jealousy isn’t healthy.!!!!!
JJ has as lot to answer for on this one,his post is obvioulsy worded for maximum effect.No mention of the questions asked,or even the full answers….selective,but effective.
As far as Vanessa goes,she’s a confident,exuberant person and that comes across in her interviews.She does ‘tell it like it is’,but I don’t think thats a problem.In time she’ll learn to maybe be more careful in what she says.
I really don’t understand what all the hype is about. She is a young actress . It’s a self promoting business. When you read about this or that actors upcoming movie where do you think they get the information? They have publicist putting out information. Anytime they feel their actor isn’t in the news enough they drop a little something to put them there.
The statements here are all completely out of context, meant to stimulate comments and conversations. As for her not liking kids, she was ask if she were pregnant to which she responded that she was too young and at this time she couldn’t imagine having a kid with her at all times. Not fans but a baby who she would be responsible for 24/7. I happen to think that’s a wise choice because too many people have children too young. I’m not saying a particular age I’m saying to young for them(the person) If you’re not ready for the responsibility of a child wait till you are, which is what Vanessa was saying.
Its like Zac said about people waiting for him to mess up. Some how it seems double for Vanessa. I have said before what do these people think will happen if they breakup ? Zac would suddenly jump on a plane and fly to where ever they are and confess his love for them?
I think that Zac and Vanessa complement each other as Zac has said before that sometime’s he can be a bit quiet and so need’s another person to be upbeat around him when he get’s like that.
Can’t remeber weather it was said in a magazine interview or an other interview, but I think that Vanessa’s sense of fun and the love of what she does certainly show’s through and the amount of time Zac smiles in her direction when they’re together anybody only has to watch The Road To High School Musicals to see how Vanessa’s smile make’s him smile too, and has he said in his own words’ helook’s across and see’s her big old smile on Vanessa’s face and it kinda makes him forget he’s dancing for a minute’ that to me tells you a lot about his feelings for Vanessa and the way she look’s at him says the same.
I don’t think she comes across as being cocky, I think you can tell she’s still not fully comfortable doing interviews but again that will change as time goes on, as it’s been said Zac has had more time to get used to it, but like with Vanessa we only see the side of them they want us to see and only let their guard down very slightly when answering anything regarding theitr relactionship and that has only been recent like Zac’s comment about ‘ date night’ again he was beaming when he said that Vanessa was there with him.
Love the photo of Vanessa as well she look’s really pretty, balck and white certainly look’s good on her.
And she’s right about the photo thing it’s done with now. So it’s about time certain people stopped bringing it up on site’s, Vanessa I’m sure know’s that it will always be in he background but at least she’s not dwellng on it and letting it stop her try other things and that’s good.
Also this is only a snippet of a interview and we all know how words can get twised round in the press so maybe it’s best to actually get the magazine and read it all first ut saying that I am convinced that it was’nt meant to come out the way it has, and after all she is still growing, after all even when your fuly grown up you can still think one thing and it does’nt always come out the right way when you say it and you realize that maybe you should have worded it better, but that’s part of learning how to answer questions.
