To all those Vanessa-haters out there!
I just wanted to say: “Can you please be really careful with your words about Vanessa.”
There are many people out there who say that vanessa can’t act or sing or whatever. But please don’t say that, Vanessa loves acting and singing that’s all she wants. And then all those haters come out and bash her for something she loves. How would you feel if you would love something so much but then there are other people who bash you for it. I can tell, it isn’t a nice feeling. It is no wonder all those celebrities come in trouble. And people who say she doesn’t deserve Zac. That isn’t true, Do you know how hard it is for her. Those little girls who want zac basher her. He is just a guy! HOw would YOU feel if zac was your boyfriend and you would have other people bashing you for it. It’s not just Vanessa. I know for sure if Zac was dating Ashley(which he isnt, he loves Vanessa) Ashley would be bashed to for it. But come, it’s just a guy. And why be jealous of her beauty or talents. I mean, i get it if you don’t like her but that doesn’t mean you have to lie. I am not telling you to like her, just don’t bash her. She doesn’t deserve it. She is gonna prove to you all that she got talent. I mean you cannot judge her acting by just hsm. She can’t let see everthing she gots in hsm. She is going to do more mature movies and then she is going to prove you all. Just wait and see!! So please stop bashing!!

As Troy pointed out Vanessa seems more of the type who shoots from the hip and tells it like it is. I have a father who as always been like that and he never had a malice or cocky bone in his body—he is now 81 and as never changed. Some people are just like that.

As tee was trying to say, sometimes interviews get so “edited” that you wouldn’t believe it was the same interview that you were involved with. The press are suppose to be reporting facts but even “reputable” reporters will slant the issue to show a side they want to portray—maybe edgier, more cynical, etc. There have been more than one celebrity that have cited these type reasons as to why they will not give interviews—because what they say is twisted to sound like something else.

I said a couple months ago it seemed like Zac was made out to be the good guy and Vanessa the more questionable one of the couple. I think it is because there isn’t much you can make out as bad with Zac without really sounding stupid but because they have the photo thing of Vanessa and she IS the more exotic type they chose her to be the “bad” guy. The rumor mill and gossip magazines often do that to couples. And with Zac and Vanessa they are both so gorgeous and sweet they couldn’t possibly make them both “darlings” because what could the use to stir up controversy about? If they were both portrayed just perfect than it would certainly make it harder for someone to believe a rumor about the two.

And lily, seriously, no matter how much Vanessa would try to say EXACTLY what she means someone would take it wrongly or not understand or misconstrue it. I could site countless times from the Vanessa and Zac threads where something was so distinct but someone asked a question about it that left countless people wondering where the poster was coming from and why they were so “stupid”. Some people like something said one way and yet someone else gets it perfectly. Just like you feel like she should say something a certain way but 10 other people get where she is coming from right away with exactly what she said. It is also very hard when questions are just thrown out there to a person for that person to aways give the best thought out answer—some people are very good at it but some aren’t. There are many times when I’ve had more time to think about a question someone asked me that I wish I would have worded it another way. And if it is too perfect, then people would say Vanessa was coached.

And I just wanted to say I totally agree with Karen, troy, kgg, sara and many of you. I prefer vanessa’s interviews a bt more too. With zac it’s only he’s hot just like Naomi said. And the thing I like about vanessa is that she likes to tell what she thinks. She doesn’t give straight answers, you know. But I agree with you, she has to handle it a bit more like Zac, unfortunately. Or else, people are going to think she is cocky. Which she isn’t

When I wrote my last post I had not read Steph so she did a lot better job than I did answering lily. Nor had I read Naomi’s post so did not see her comment about Zac’s interviews seeming more rehearsed. I just wanted to say if Vanessa came off more
“tactful” then people would say she had had time to be coached about her answers. And Zac may come off being rather “careful” in his answers but I don’t see them rehearsed—I just think he doesn’t want to be seen as “stupid” so he is very careful in what he says so it won’t come back to haunt him. He really doesn’t want people to misunderstand him so he is more restrained. Vanessa is definitely the more spontaneous one in that pairing and probably something Zac finds appealing and fascinating about her.

#121- I read your comments and maybe you practice “tough love” often, but your words have quite a bit of bite behind them. Lilly is a fan, can you not see that? She is not demanding Vanessa say anything or DO anything for her (or anyones’ benefit). She stated her opinion objectively with an open-mind, and actually THANKED us as a whole for being mature and you come back with that… I think most of us here agree Vanessa is a good person. I think sometimes we fans get a bit quick in our responses to one another. Maybe that’s an example of what we’re discussing right now? How words can be misunderstood very easily.

And in Zac’s, well not defense because no one is “bashing” him but some of you have referred to him as “rehearsed.” I think he is wise beyond his years to understand to keep quiet about the things that are important to you. He chooses not to elaborate on he and Vanessa’s relationship because as soon as he does that ALL of us get to judge their relationship and interactions. We kind of already do that. We fans have an idea of what we want them to be in our minds and hearts, and the haters have theirs.

I guess I’m just trying to say, I think Zac is very mature- and I’m not sure when reserved meant you now are called “rehearsed”. As he said in Details he’s not stupid, he knows people are waiting for him to screw up and he won’t give them the satisfaction.

In this world, you will come accross people that will be harsh and at times not as…. You’ll just have to get use to that. The world, including here on JJ is not Euphoric. And yes, I do have a little of “bite” to me, I’m well aware of that fact, I make no apologies.

And Sara, Naomi can fend for herself, I don’t think she needs a bodyguard :) … as you may be well aware. I am honestly glad that I challenged her on her post because she did not come accross clearly. I’ve never seen her on JJ up untill now, so if something comes accross to me that I need to challenge, I am free to do so AND will do so. As you can see, when she did, I saw what she meant… and came to an understanding…
