Doug Pitt to Brother Brad: Let’s Care to Learn!
Doug Pitt, the younger brother of Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is speaking out about his “Care to Learn” Project, which is all about kids’ health, hunger and hygiene.
Says Doug, “The idea was to help kids that show up on a school day with an immediate need. We need to get to them quick, obviously. So we set up this fund to do just that. Last week, we had a kid need clothes and food. And within 20 minutes - from the phone call - counselors, teachers, principals, make a call to the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools. And they’re on it. They now have the funds to address that urgent need.”
For more information, visit CareToLearnFund.com. At the website, you can see one of the Care to Learn Founders include Springfield, Missouri business man Doug Pitt, who recognized the need and is coordinating a solution to this growing issue.
Also a founder of the project is the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, a Humanitarian Fund supported by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Hey baby, how are ya tonight? been lurking and doing homework. fun, fun.
I think the Jolie-Pitt should stay in Texas. It’s almost like Namibia … far away from the paps.
Hello to jessO, African Girl, lookwhaticando
Happy Birthday Andreadoria

I think Doug is cute and I love his drawl. This program will do great things for the kids that are helped. I read an article about this program and Doug said he had heard about kids having to share a toothbrush with their siblings. Nobody should have to share something as simple as a toothbrush - This program will address needs big and small.
My goodness…there’s nothing yummier than a man with a heart of gold.
—————————–
you are totally right - nothing yummier.
What an absolute sweetheart Doug Pitt is. But it is not surprising….he is Brad’s brother after all.
And what wonderful people Mr and Mrs Pitt must be to have raised such wonderful, compassionate, generous, aware and and family oriented children.
This is a great idea, the teachers in the classroom can see who really needs the help. I have a friend who is a teacher and I give her extra money for her students who can’t afford the field trips or supplies or whatever, it’s not much but it does help. I wish every school system had this.
Hello Anoble, How was your day
Andredoria HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The Pitt’s have horrible profiles. no chin and very weird and monkey-ish mouths.
Doug is good looking but Brad has the sex appeal & the face to die for. Angie fell in love to the hottest man alive in the world. Angie & Brad, you are the hottest & the most interesting couple.
Another family short vacation somewhere. Peace & blessings.
Goodnight ladies. See you all tomorrow.

To hell with what Doug is doing ,He should not try to help the children because he has a horrible profile.

itawu - Doug and Brad’s parents should be proud of raising such good people.
Hi anoble (((waving back)))
Sometimes the haters get to me, but when there is a positive story posted, they can’t touch me. I just laugh at them.
pannell64,
Good on you for putting your hand into your own pocket! Hopefully news of this care to learn project will spread and programs will be put into place elsewhere.

Who let you out of your cage, little monkey momo?
Guess doing good for others can’t be comprehended by your type.

lol - get ready to shoot - I’m getting too old for this sh*t.
This is a very good project. I’ve seen lots of kids who had to miss school because they had no decent clothes or shoes or a winter jacket. The success of the fund depends on how it is administered. There was a fund like this in NYC which was started by a private social service agency but it had to be discontinued due to infighting between the agency and the teachers, who insisted on controlling who got help and who didn’t.
duh!tres jolie!why doncha dig ur own grave!next question.
tres jolie is The Devil incarnate
jill, that is awful. hopefully that won’t be an issue with this program.
This is a good program to assist school kids. There are times when little things can make a huge difference, whether it is a hot lunch or a pair of shoes.
I find it interesting that all the people who come on line to whine about how Brad and Angelina get all the attention for humanitarian work because they are celebrities are NOT here on line praising JJ’s for putting up a thread that prominently shows Doug Pitt, an ordinary man, not really a celebrity (just a brother of one), doing good things for his community.
Good evening to the fabulous JP’s fans. Thanks for the new thread jared.
To the fans; the last thread had a lot of good articles thanks to all. Thanks to whoever posted the article on Oprah’s new guru. Interesting. Hi to irma, anoble , vickifromtexas, anustin, jill , those are the names I’ve seen so far on this thread and remembered. Happy birthday to Andreadoria and a big hi to anyone I didn’t mention. Love how Angie and Brad are educating the world on philanthropy and activism. Love Doug too,
it is great he supports his brother and does good himself. I agree with I think Tijen, Mr.+ Mrs. Pitt have good kids. God bless all of them.
he just looks like a frumpy middle aged dad, definitely not attractive like brad

It’s sad when something which is intended to do good is destroyed as a result of a power struggle. I wonder if it was the result of particular personalities who had to work together and COULDN’T or whether there were fundamental problems with the values of the program.

That was the problem in a nutshell. The basic premise of the program was excellent. The problem was the school personnel who insisted on controlling every single aspect of the program and ultimately sabotaged it by withholding referrals.
