OlderHilary Duff: I See Myself in Miley Cyrus
Hilary Duff dishes on her fellow celebutantes in the May 2008 issue of Allue.
Here’s what Hil, 20, had to say about Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne:
On Lindsay Lohan: “Supposedly, I stole Lindsay Lohan’s boyfriend [Aaron Carter.] We were, like, 13! And I’ve never stolen anyone’s boyfriend! I don’t know how you do that! . . . She was talking about it and I wasn’t. It made us both look bad and put up a big weirdness. Really she was just a girl my age. We are fine now, by the way.”
On Miley Cyrus: “We don’t have each other’s phone numbers. But when she meets me, she’s excited. It’s cute – I see a lot of myself in her.”
On Avril Lavigne: “I said something about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody [Lavigne called Duff a 'mommy's girl' in Newsweek] Everyone is trying to prove who they are, and their position. So, I’m ‘the good girl.’ She’s ‘the bad girl’ or ‘the party girl.’ Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t take her clothes off, but she’s not a ‘good girl.’ [Adult actors] don’t get tagged like we do.”

i think she grew up into a beautiful girl! i wonder where she will be in 10 years! its fun to watch people grow and dabble into other things like kimora who use to be a model is now an entrepreneur with her 2 clothing lines and shoe and perfume lines, even jewelry!!

i’ve never been a hilary fan but she’s pretty good at writing songs. for a 20 year-old she’s had many albums already, even more than britney spears had. but hilary should put more work on harnessing her talents rather than acting like a diva. i mean she should try to perform and sing well as she could dance well too. that is the reason why people back then used to prefer lindsay over hilary, they see more talent in lindsay.

I love Hilary more really because she is more wholesome and she’s kept her good girl image and she’s a better actress/singer than Miley is. I do have to say that Miley’s singing has improved. I like Miley Cyrus, I hate Hannah Montana. I feel bad actually that Miley got all that attention of her being a *****, and especially all of you who say that Mileys a *****, i’d really like to see you people be famous with cameras following you around everywhere when your just trying to be a normal teenager and are pressured to do things that end up wrecking your image. I bet a lot of you who say that Mileys a *****, if you were famous you may be tagged as a ***** too even just by little things they catch you by. But I don’t like that Miley’s still on Disney Channel, I liked seeing Hilary’s career grow and change and still remain good, and Miley really hasn’t gotten anywhere. Though i do like Miley Cyrus as a person, and also Miley reminds me of me for some reason, i look and act like her a lot, & people tell me that too so i think thats partly why i like Miley is cuz she reminds me of me, but i have to say i still love Hilary Duff more!!
