I find it so amusing that people will ascribe so many virtues to someone just because they look nice. It makes me sad that we are so superficial that we automatically think pretty people are kind, wonderful, and good hearted, and ugly people are mean and nasty. I can get by with so much using my looks, that I made a decision not to. When it all comes too easy it can really make a person shallow.
Not that I don’t like to look at him he is very very pretty, but I have doubts that he has all of the virtues attributed to him.
There is an old saying the face you have until you are 45 is what God gave you, after that it is what you make of it, I guess with plastic surgery that may not be true anymore.
I wonder do these people have any idea what smoking does to their looks? I know the model he hangs out with smokes too. It is really bad for their skin, their teeth, their smell, not to mention what it does to their health. People who have smoked for a long time skins begin to look gray and clogged. I guess they don’t care about what it will make them look like, cause they are living in the moment, But some years for now the moment is gonna look nasty. Smoking is a major turn off to me

I just thought of something everyone read about that sighting earlier this week could that have been a set up by her pr team to make everything seem on the up and up. We could find out they weren’t there to begin with.

That sighting earlier this week was definitely sent in by her or her PR. It was the 3rd or 4th sighting sent in to eonline, doubtful a coincidence. And they’re always a little too descriptive, especially if you compare it to the gawker sighting of Orlando alone which was a much simpler description of just him walking down the street. I’m just surprised that it didn’t say something like they “held hands and gazed adoringly into each other’s eyes”. Maybe her PR have seen all the comments and caught on to how fake and obviously planted the last few sightings have sounded.

(look at me for a good example, rotlf) But then someone linked in her interviews on YouTube and my IQ dropped by 10 just from listening to her. I mean, most of the kids of my friends have a bigger vocabulary by the age of six. And then we saw all the media manipulation she’s in sooo deep, and I liked her even less. But now, seeing her hold that bra and try to make it look like it’s something important, I must admit, I feet sorry for her. If that is what her life and job is about, then I don’t blame her for hanging onto Bloom and try to get a bit higher on whatever ladder she thinks she’s climbing.

Speculating about smoking doesn’t work cause onec he has admitted that he smokes sometimes in hard periods of life or smth like that.
He WAS hot,but now…well i hope his look is just for the role and later he’ll be hot again. Or his look is a result of very very happy relationship.

you sound just like me, I wanted to like her too, but that interview about Paris and the pink frock was just so tacky and then when you read her interviews in other magazines my eyes kind of glaze over and I actually feel myself getting dumber. He didn’t make a statement about those girls, being photographed leaving a club with 3 girls was the statement. In the midst of a week in which there were nearly daily pap pictures of Orlando and MK in obscure places (however did they find them?), Orlando went out to a club without his supposed “girlfriend” while she was in LA, knew there were photographers present since they took pictures of him going in, then left with 3 other girls getting photographed getting into a car together. Kind of an actions speak louder than words type of statement.

Seriously, this kinda behaviour gives women a bad name. This is what my male friends are afraid of. A possessive gf that will trap and use them. And I used to say they are just paranoid, but the female tactics I have witnessed make me understand them.
I am embarrassed. I remember some years ago when a friend of mine suggested that if I want my bf to marry me, I should get off the pill without telling him, he’ll “do the right thing” when he finds out I’m pregnant. Normally, movie stars & celebs sign non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements to maintain privacy. That type of contract would be designed to protect the privacy of both parties.
(CONSPIRACY ALERT! CONSPIRACY ALERT!) If the relationship is mainly pr based with some friends-with-benefits ‘cookies’ on the side, then it stands to reason that a pr contract of some kind would have been signed. If Orlando and Miranda have such an agreement, then they may have their own personally agreed upon ways of handling things. IF, and I said IF, Orlando or Miranda didn’t read the FINE PRINT, then one of them may have screwed the other over. IF, and I said IF, that’s the case, then the screwed-over party may be getting even. That could be Orlando with his passive/aggressive behavior or Miranda with her and her peeps blabbing to the press. IF there’s a contract, it’ll expire when it expires. If there’s a clause or loophole in it for both parties, then they have a way out.
If Orlando feels manipulated or guilty, he’s the one who has to fight that feeling and not allow other people to make him feel that way. I can’t manipulate you or make you feel guilty unless you allow me to. Once you see what I’m doing, or trying to do, it’s up to you to call me on it and force the issue out into the open.
If Miranda has some photos of him that she’s using to blackmail him or pressure him, that would be in violation of the non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement that KerrBloom (hopefully) signed together. When they “just hung out as pals” before dating, was Jay hanging with them and if not why not considering the rumors?

Non-disclosure/ Confidentiality agreements can (and possibly should) be signed even if no pr is intended, planned or involved. If an actor/celebrity uses an escort service, for instance, non-disclosure agreements/confidentiality agreements will be signed to protects the ‘clients’ and the service provider and staff.
I think it’s up to Orlando to protect himself and use his brain to do his thinking instead of his groin. Every actress and model should be considered slightly suspicious until he gets to know them and their intentions. If they’re not interested in using him or hurting him, signing such a document shouldn’t be an issue. If it is, that should be a red flag for him. IMO
If Miranda is smart, she’ll be very careful about what personal information she reveals to the press about Orlando. Smart actors and models are very careful about whom they stab in the back and whose toes they step on. Well she is because I do believe it was Orlando who deicded to end this relationship. She told once (for Vogue I think) that she met James when she was totally broken down and he really helped her a lot. And she fell in love with him.

I agree but thats what angers me, I disliked KATE she went from one man to another- dont forget she dated Matt then about a month later was with Orlando- Miranda has done the same thing, she hung out with a man she KNEW was after her for months even her boyfiredn Jay was asking questions about what was going on, and she dumped Jay in september (even after saying only a month before Jay was the love of her life) and got with Orlando a month later, so its very similar,people seem to forget that thats 2 girls that go from one man to another who he has gotten with.
At least she had the decency to end one relationship before starting another. Miranda makes sure she has the next one primed and ready before she dumps the old one.

I am certainly not a MK fan. She means nothing to me. And I agree, if this is what his choice in a partner is then so be it. He’s a grown boy and has to live with his choices. I don’t feel that he gives a very good impression of himself these days. Whether I agree or not with how he conducts his personal life means nothing. I always like what you have to say. I think it is more of a problem with women who are very pretty, but have no other talent and aren’t very intelligent All they have to rely on is their beauty, and they use that to attract men. If they don’t have a man, that means their beauty must not be working and since they don’t have anything else going for them they get desperate. I think that is the kind of women he has always dated. He seems kind of shallow to me and the most important thing to him is to make sure that there is a beautiful woman on his arm. That is why he ends up with Kate’s and Mirandas. There are beautiful women who are also intelligent and they don’t need a man to believe that they are talented.
I am considered pretty by my friends, but I also go to school and have a brain. I go without a boyfriend sometimes, because I am pretty choosy about who I date. Women like Miranda don’t really care much about the man’s character they are more interested in if he is considered a catch, because if they can get him then that raises their own prestige. It is sad when the only thing a relationship means to these people is if they think they have nabbed someone that everyone else wants.
Maybe when he gets older, he will learn there is more to a woman than simply beauty and he will learn to look beyond just the face and body to see the character inside. Brains and beauty can and do go together, but women like that won’t settle for just a pretty face, they need to have some depth too, and I am not sure he does.

i think she has been told all her life how pretty and special she is and she just can’t comprehend that not everyone believes it. Pretty girls like her are a dime a dozen, but I bet she thinks she has them all beat. The overly done smile, the sugary sweet voice and the cute coy attitude has always worked for her, and she is sure it still is. I am a mother and when I see kids at the playground I am amazed how many moms are emphasising their daughters’ beauty and nothing else. I thought we live in the effin 21’st century! I think we, me included have been raised in a world where women haven’t had to fight for their rights like they did in my mom’s day. It is because she and my grandmother were involved in the women’s movement that they did with me exactly what you are doing with your daughter. I was over at Olove and they mention that Kate Bosworth was spotted in Oz. There are a few articles cirulating that she thinks of the place as a second home. For christmas Miranda claimed that Orlando was going to be there, but more interesting Kate was and got all press that Miranda was going to get or wanted to get. Now that Miranda leak that she and Orlando would be arriving on Wednesday and would be at the event on Saturday, anyone think that Orlando would still go. Some claimed that he didn’t go for christmas because Kate was there and the media in Oz loves her. Now she is in Oz again at the same time that Miranda plan for Orlando to be what will happen this time around. They have being very quiet in New York which is why I think he is going to show up in Oz. Maybe kate would make an appearence at fashion week in Oz, she does have the ck and coach contract to promote.
I think it is up for grabs if he shows up. I can see him using the still filming excuse. Or unfortunatly the scheduling didn’t work out. You may have heard how those sites went down the tubes when people started to criticize. As for Ioan Gruffudd, his career also went down the tubes at about the same time that his fans found out that he secretly funded the site. Orlando probably should realize that you can’t destroy your fanbase without another group of fans to follow them. Otherwise, no one will want to see you in anything - movies, tv, commercials, etc.

Even at the height of his popularity his fandom didn’t help him carry any movies. (See the failures of KOH, ETOWN). As for what he needs to do, you’re right, he needs a new fanbase. This sort of fanbase never lasts. He was a teen idol and it happens to all of them, their fans get older, they get older. And unless they find an image that works they fade away as he has done. Is it all over? I would never say that because so many actors wax and wane and make comebacks. Who knows, TRC could be it for him or maybe some other project. What he doesn’t need is a famewh*re sucking the last bit of his failing stardom dry leaving nothing left for himself.

Thanks for your answers about those kabloom and elflady. I was just curious because those sites seem a little bit too contrived for reality. Usually celebrities pay for sites or pay for google hits to make themselves look more popular than they really are. Anyone can set up a site and say it’s anonymous or just a bunch of fans, etc. Anyone can also figure out how to increase google hits to make himself look more popular than reality. It was funny on a recent episode of the Kardashians the other girls even made fun of Kim saying that she was paying someone to do google searches in order to make her show up on the most searched list. Who really would be searching that much on google for Kim Kardashian? Same could go for Orlando or Miranda. A PR firm could easily have a bunch of low-paid interns sitting at a bunch of computers repeatedly searching on their names.
If you don’t follow Orlando or aren’t a hardcore follower of gossip then it’s likely the only places you saw anything were the entertainment shows and magazines which in large part reported that Orlando wasn’t drunk or high and the paparazzi were to blame. He got away pretty clean in the mainstream and for casual fans.

It is damaging what is left of his fandom, and that is all he has at the moment to get capitol for doing a movie. Interesting that to get another lead he had to petition an Asian director. It isn’t smart to lie and decieve fans, they don’t forget easily, and what is different from him and Leo (who many compare him to) is that Leo actually had talent to build a new fan base after the teenage fit was over. I haven’t seem much evidence that he has that talent, since he has pretty much taken the easy road with blockbusters, and the very few indies he did, did not do well, and he stopped doing indies after his Pirate’s thing took off. He didn’t get awful reviews of his play, but the weren’t great either, it was more of a so.so type thing. That won’t carry him very far. I think Miranda and the whole mess has drug him down. It started with cheating and that never bodes well for things. I think she has him by the balls, and for some reason he is letting her squeeze them pretty tight. His Mom does keep up with his fans, and I am surprised she hasn’t clued him in, or maybe he just doesn’t care. If that is the case, she must be a fantastic lay.
Agree with you about the way he handled the car accident situation and how that may have turned many people, including fans, off him. But I remember some fans getting turned off way back in Aug ‘06 on Jay Leno when he talked on tv about Kate peeing on his foot. Something about a sea urchin sting. Many people didnt think that was respectul to Kate. I know I didn’t. The pictures in Oz - totally pap set ups - back in summer ‘05 were also a major turn off to a lot of people. They looked soooo fake.

that is interesting, I always wondered how he came out so high on google searchs. He isn’t that big of a name, and except for a while right after the first pirates he wasn’t as huge as many others in Hollywood. I think he was A list then, but he isn’t anymore.
Remember that dinner he had with Leo and Miranda was with him. I could see her embarresing him badly. Leo strikes me as fairly intelligent and I bet she was as dumb as a post Maybe that is why he doesn’t take her to events or parties, she is an embarresment to him. He comes across as intelligent in his interviews, whether he is or not I don’t know, but at least he can play it for a while. If they started talking about heavy duty stuff I bet she was clueless.

Also I think it was the “inappropriate grabbing” of Veronica Taylor that gave fans an insight to how he can treat women in clubs.. that is never going to sit well with any female fan to think their “gentleman Orlando who respects women as if he was their father” acted liek this in private situations. It kind of made them relaise that what comes out of his mouth about women was a pile of doggy doo doo’s.
@344 - The crash news was on the front page of Yahoo and BBC’s entertainment site too. I know that because that was the time I first started searching for news on him. That’s when I set my first google alert on his name too, lol. So people who are not that much into gossip have heard about it too, and commenters made sure the video footage is just a click away. I know reports said he was clean, but ordinary people who were flooded with celebrity DUIs in those months all went “yeah, sure”.
There’s many things that are frustrating about this whole mess but the one that stands out the most is just how intensely selfish she is to do this. She sees dollar signs and her own future. She couldn’t care less if has a negative effect on his career or not-if he is viewed poorly by fans or his fellow actors. Just as long as the spoiled brat gets her name in the paper. I don’t for a second think he is in love with this thing and possibly even has great resent ment toward her. It must be guilt or manipulation because there is no way he doesn’t see that anyone that cared about him would not do this to him.
No one should be surprised at the PR tactics that are used on a regular basis by celebrities who don’t have anything else to promote but themselves. I would bet money that Orlando has used the paps and the press to create the current image that he has whether people like the image or not. IMO he has done the PR setups for a long time (probably his whole career but mainly after he had the money). I think he didn’t get caught because he knows how to act ticked off just enough at the paps to make it seem that he doesn’t like it. Some of setups are too obvious to be just-caught-in-the-act moments. I think he has wanted to present himself as a womanizer and a ladies man for some reason. Either to set himself up as a potential leading man in movies or another unknown reason.

But sometimes a user comes (using a random girl name usually without capital letters) asking “doesn’t he date MK?” or “what about MK” and everyone effin’ ignores her. :) After a while she gets angry and starts cursing and shouting. :) I soooo wanna know if those ignored attempts to throw in her name came from the same computer! :D

I saw that, I think he definately wants kids, he seems to get excited talking about them in some interviews I have seen.
Also what is odd in this when he is asked about the said VS model- his eyes look in a certain way (thru body language studies) are telling the truth as he denies it.

Thanks for finding the clip Jaded, I hadn’t seen that one in a while. Funny, his reaction to having a family one day seems very uncertain to me, he makes a little face after the comment about keeping the dolls for this alleged family. Also, that’s a line he’s been saying since LotR, he said it way back during promotions of FOTR. But we all interpret things differently, it’s cool. He may want kids, he may not. It may be part of the same marketing that everyone seems certain everything else he’s said has been about. An imagine. The talk about not wanting to leave London, not wanting to be a heartthrob, not liking fame, e.t.c. I don’t know how to pick and choose which is legit and which isn’t. That’s the problem when part of your life is fake, you never know what is true and what isn’t.

@365 Yeah, he seems kinda uncomfortable just from hearing the question. To me it seems like a student not knowing the right answer and trying to get around it. My impression was that they probably had a couple dates but still had no idea if there will be any more and so he didn’t wanna say anything but had to answer anyway.
What I don’t get: why is it so difficult to say “no comment”? Once I’ve seen Leo react to a similar question with a wicked grin and he asked “are you trying to ask me about my private life” and made a gesture to get up from the seat and leave. Although I am normally cynical, I do believe that, that Orlando will be back. Once he has sorted his demons, maybe another trip to Antarctica or Nepal to reflect and be inspired.
