They saw the helicopter so they kissed to show the public that everything is alright with them… how sweet. And I was happy to see a few children there for Suri’s birthday….so many adults.

Jared, for Nicole K not to be there, is not only understandable but is the social norm. They have both moved on and with different spouses in life. Nicole kept mum on how that divorce was, but I truly believe she and TC are only amicable due to Isabella and Conrad. NOT enough to be in each others parties and such, that would be most uncomfortable. And yeah, if I were Nicole I wouldn’t go to his party, although gut feel IF Mr Scientology DID invited her and Keith, she probably would have gone for the sake of their kids. So for her not to be present, I would state she wasn’t invited by eccentric shortstuff.

#7, I agree. The helicopter shots are intrusive and I thought about that after looking at the pics and responding. Ack, I feel bad. Especially after noticing the shots of Connor and Tom looking up at them, not pleased. Then I thought of the noise, the everything connected to a helicopter. It seems Suri was OK though, so hopefully her birthday wasn’t spoiled.

Peeping in on a 2 yr old’s birthday party via helicopter photos! Is nothing sacred?! It’s not like they are in some public park or putting themselves “out there”. It looks like they are entertaining at home. They pose enough for the paps shouldn’t they have some peace when they want it? This does not appear to be a time when they were begging for the attention.

I also agree with #16. Put the money to good use, not on a cake for a 2 yr old. Whatever happened to having a few family members celebrate a toddler’s b-day? It shouldn’t be the list of “Who’s who in Hollywood at the moment.”

People are having fun…what fun? where?

You can count the number of children on one hand, the adults are all schlepping about as if they are embarking on something other than a birthday party. People are just standing around. Where are the smiles and happiness everyone is going on about. Apart from the balloons and someone writing on the grounds about someone having a happy birthday, you wouldn’t know it is a birthday party. It is just a gathering of many adults and few children, standing around and walking towards vehicles.

Happy? where? All the hype about their spawn being 2, getting on tabloid covers and this is it? With these pictures, the tabloids will have to work hard in building a story for this birthday party. This might as well have been an office BBQ where most of the workers are new and don’t know one another.

Give me a break. There is nothing sweet or cute in any of the pics, not even the one of them kissing after Tom spied the helicopter.

there are more adults than kids because two year olds don’t have lots of friends yet. whoever said the party is for the adults got it right. and, don’t tell me they spent $5k on a cake. i don’t believe it.

It looks like Suri got her face painted white but it didn’t happen here. Maybe they came from the COS Celebrity Centre and had the party there and then drove other to this place for the Holmes party. According to X17Online there was another party for Suri at the CC and this home, the COS uses for retreats. Probably Cruise made a donation (for the upgrade) and they allowed him to use these premises.

This doesn”t seem like much of a lavish party like it was reported to
be. But I think all of the pictures we are seeing are of everyone leaving.
Thats why it seems so un-exciting. I’m alittle surprised at the way Katie is dressed for her childs party. I think a sun dress would have
been better being she and Tommy were the host and hostess.

In response to some of the comments.

1. A 2 year olds party is USUALLY full of adults…famous people or not. Our first daughter had all family at her parties, at that age they don’t play with more than 1 kid at a time anyway.

2. Someone said she would have more fun at Chuckee Cheese.
Probably, if she were not followed around by paps. Imagine her just trying to go to Chuckee Cheese…in public….poor thing. Someone would complain they didn’t spend enough, others would complain because they would have to close the place down just for privacy…sad.

3. All these pictures look like the people are either just arriving or getting ready to leave. They are NOT having the party yet. Are you laughing and playing when you first arrive or want to get home? IMHO - That is why Katie is carrying her, if not she would be running around like a wild thing I’m sure.

4. Yes, the kiss looks staged…so what. If they stood 2 feet away from each other the tabloids would scream “Divorce immenent”.

5. Writing HB Suri on the sidewalk by Isabella looks like something sweet a big sister would do for a little sister. The part of the party we didn’t see may have included playing with sidewalk chalk.

STAGED! Celebrities always have huge tents when they throw parties outside so that the paparazzi can’t take pictures from their helicopters. These people aren’t novices. They know the paps will be there, trying to invade their privacy, so that’s NO surprise to them at all. They wanted to be photographed!

The huge greeting (it had to be huge so it would be clearly visible from the air and look good in pictures) on the ground is staged and was done for the same reason. Boring pictures showing a phony party.

This is touching and what a real family is about. Its a simple party and a gathering of the closest intimate families to Tom and Katie.
They are dress comforatable because its a relaxing atmosphere not a cocktail elegant one also kids play so its not wise to have gowns and tuxedos. Poor jealous miserable wonnabe experts with no lives.

I smile because the tabloids are wrong *again*. All the lies are opposite of this family. A rare thing among Hollywood families to have what Tom and Katie have.

Its *clear* Tom is protective of his children and they are having a happy and normal life. Suri’s party is full of joy and love and she is not spoiled at all for a baby whose dad is so freakin rich.
Suri,Connor and Isabella are not Hollywood stars so their lives are not onto the Hollywood spotlight unless supporting their parents.

OMG, do they have any clue as parents, first of all every single picture has suri being held by katie. (put the child down and let her enjoy her party) secondly, who in their right mind dresses a birthday child in a WHITE dress, (oh boy, looks like that is going to be fun for suri, NOT) I bet they wouldn’t even let her get the dress dirty with her cake, poor child! and the article says that Tom’s other two children were there, but not a single picture of them, very interesting and all telling about how he really feels about them! and of course Nicole wasn’t there, she has a lot of class, that would be lowering her standards to be seen in Tom and Katie’s company.
