The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star sure is growing up fast! Maybe a little too fast?

I am a Christian. My faith in Christ means a great deal to me. I know that Miley and her family are from a similar background. In quieter moments, Miley won’t be likely to look back and feel proud of the choices that she made.
On the other hand, when I saw the photograph of Miley’s back partially revealed, I thought, “You must be joking. BIG DEAL.”
My stepson agreed that she could have done without the bra revelation, saying, “It was one of those teenager mistakes.”
Cute underthings and all, but hopefully she will develop a keener awareness of what really matters on this ball of mud, and use her celebrity to further these causes (anyone against the seal hunt?).
I say enjoy good food and green underwear, but love God above all else, and let everything else take its place after that.

It looks like a lot of contributors to this website are pretty young. It’s a short life, people. It seems like I was in my teens a very short time ago– the years have gone by quickly, and it will also happen to you.
Who qualifies to be the first to pick up a stone and throw it at Miley Cyrus? Who among us has never messed up? If you can take your disappointment (human beings don’t make very good idols and will inevitably fail us) and pray for Miley and her family, then you will have conquered something within yourself that is not a friend of the light.
And who is the light that is coming into this world, even at this moment? It is the One who created your soul and LOVES you beyond anything that you could ever ask or imagine. If you go to Google and type in John Paul Jackson + blog, you’ll find the kinds of answers that I wish someone had given me when I was a teenager.
Wisdom is more precious than gold. Love always wins out. Life is short. God is good. You are unconditionally and eternally loved.
Watch for the Lord to show you the truth of all of the above.
