Daniel Radcliffe and the Mystery of the Australian Girl
Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter, has often spoken about not being able to find a girlfriend, but in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, revealed his love of one particular Australian woman who he met backstage during an AFI awards ceremony.
“There was one girl there, oh my god, she had these eyes that just looked at me like she wanted to pounce on me,” Daniel said yesterday. “She stared at me the whole night and I was going to get her number and then I couldn’t find her.
“I must have walked around that party for an hour trying to look for this girl, like some sad pathetic dweeb but it would have been so worth it.”
Daniel, 18, started starring in the popular Harry Potter movies when he was 11.

Saw Dan last night on PBS in My Boy Jack. He did a very good job. Can be proud of himself. He has emerged as a seasoned actor. No longer just a child star. Supposedly his father will come with him when he comes to NY in the fall to act in Equus. This is a good thing IMO since Dan may have a somewhat addictiver personality and needs to be kept away from temptations until he is completely secure and mature. Substance dealers would doubtless love to get their hooks into a super rich young kid. In My Boy Jack he smoked quite a bit and rumor has it that he has taken to smoking addictively. Let’s hope it stops with smoking and nothing more.

i live in australia and on the news this morning it said they found the mystery girl. She’s blonde and really pretty. I know where daniel is coming from about her eyes. Her eyes are gorgeous! Except there is a small problem, she has a boyfriend and they have been going out for 2 years. But apparently her job is making her go to London for 4 months which is where daniel is situated. How convenient :D

Latest is his publicist saying the story of his hunting for this girl was “just a joke” that got out of hand. On the other hand, it is reliably reported that Dan is now serving tea to the cast and crew of his latest film to keep himself busy so he won’t be tempted to smoke 20 cigs a day. Have to feel for the boy. He may be liable to addictions. So be careful, Dan. You’re too nice and sweet and good to go off the rails.

Dan is lying low, I suspect, ever since the unfavorable publicity about his smoking. Now he has to worry about the book with a picture of his peen in it. Such a sweet little boy, now caught up in the wicked ways of Hollyweird grownups. I fear that soon we’ll have news of his entering rehab for something, or crashing a car into a tree. Danny, you can’t be a sweet little innocent forever. You asked to be a movie star; will all the money be worth it?
Dan’s main problem, so far, is that he is soooooooo short You don’t realize how short he is until you see him next to somebody who is normal size. Then he appears a kind of midget. Not a dwarf exactly; more a midget. Cute perhaps, but difficult to see him as a robust male figure. He will need to choose his roles carefully so that his diminutive stature does not compromise his acting ability.

Our boy wizard is sure keeping a low profile. No news at all for months. I guess he found out that being a movie star means being trashed by the gossip columns. So burned once, he isn’t getting near the fire again as long as he can avoid it. In some ways, unless I am mistaken about him, he is much too nice for the business. On the other hand he has lost a lot of his innocent charm and gotten quite a bit harder personality-wise, as you can see from his interviews. Not bad,….just harder. He’s no longer the sweet kid he once was. A shame in many ways.
