OlderMiley Cyrus Signs Seven-Figure Book Deal
Miley Cyrus has signed a seven-figure deal with Disney Book Group to write a book about her early life in Tennessee, her move to Los Angeles and the solid relationship she has with her parents (especially with her momager, Tish).
“I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me,” says Miley, 15. “I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams.”
Says Jeanne Mosure, global publisher of Disney Book Group, “Miley is a genuine international sensation and we are delighted to deliver her first book to families around the world. She is a terrific role model, and we are incredibly proud to give kids everywhere the opportunity to connect with her in an entirely new way. It’s rare that you hear from someone her age that they want to talk about their family. How she sees her family in light of everything that she’s exposed to on a daily basis is pretty incredible.”
The Miley Cyrus book hits stores in spring 2009, when the Hannah Montana movie is also scheduled for release.

wow, I think some people on here need to calm down and breathe…come on, she’s only 15 years old…she’s being attacked as if she’s the antichrist just because she’s found a way to make some money…if you disagree that much with what she’s doing, then simply refuse to buy her products or watch the show…It seems a little too easy to attack a child (and yes, at 15 she’s still a child)…
As to the pics, all of you are lying if you claim you never did anything as a teen that you regretted…I think Paria said it best when she stated that the difference is that all of you didn’t have a camera on you 24/7 and your secrets and personal items leaked to the media…I know I did some crazy, stupid things at 15-16 that my parents would have murdered me for…and I was very lucky they never found out!
Does this mean she’s less of a person because she made a mistake? Absolutely not…there is no such thing as perfection!! She’s being held to an unreasonable standard of perfection by her fans and apparently by her non-fans…
If parents find her deplorable, then simply refuse to let your kids watch her show or endorse her products…celebs seem to always be blamed for promoting immoral acts, but my question always is: isn’t it the parents job to raise their children instead of the celebrity? Parents should be instilling morals in their children and we can’t blame celebs for living their own life and making decisions they have to ultimately live with…
And to the money she’s getting for the book deal, you do all realize it’s a business right? Disney wants to make money and Miley is the best product they have…I view her as a smart girl…she is making tons of money and will be quite comfortable in her future…we can argue all day long that she’s ripping off the public with an auto at 15 and all the deals she’s gotten, but how is what she’s doing any different than any celeb who wants you to buy their music, watch their movie, read their book? Miley isn’t the first or the last to take advantage of the gullible and make a profit…we’d have to condemn half of the celebrities in the industry…
So I say lay off the girl…she’s only 15 years old…it’s amusing to read how many people are ripping her apart and to know that if they were offered the same opportunity to get rich, live comfortable and be famous, they would accept it in a minute…maybe some refuse to admit they are secretly jealous of her success…all in all, it’s a little too easy to pick on a child…

I love Miley, and a role model is not some one who is perfect, and even role models make mistakes. as an artist, Miley is awesome and I m pretty sure the book is gonna be more about all she had to go trough to get to where she is right now, and to be a successfull multimillionaire at only 15, let’s face it, she’s bigger than a lot of people, and those pictures are not as bad as the media is making them look. and sure she took the pictures, but the ones posting them averywhere are the media in general not her. and the ones making her look bad and all….. certainlyn if you haven’t take pictures like that … then good for you but you can’t be calling people Sl*t, or Sk*nk just for pictures, and it’s wrong .mind your own business if you don’t like the girl, just leave her alone
Her contract MUST have some clause in it that would make pictures of this nature punishable by a HEFTY FINE!! It’s time to enact it before she does irreparable damage to her career as a “role model” for teens & tweens!! My husband & I noted the provocative way that she dances on stage during the CMT awards show last week…much too much for an underage girl. “One thing leads to another”…

I think it’s good that she’s writing an autobiography.. . even if she isn’t exactly ‘writing’ it. Yes, every celebrity that has a book out there definitely has had some help with it, because that is not their career. They aren’t authors.. I think this will be good for Miley. Being a teen myself, I guarantee I will purchase a copy of this book, also because I am a big fan of her. I agree that she has made some choices that aren’t the best, but in the long run, if she stays true to herself and really does ‘keep a good head on her shoulders’ like her father always says, then she will know what’s best for her career and herself. I truly hope she turns out to be a good person and responsible adult. I have faith that she will.
I also love her style and I envy it to an extent.
Keep up the GREAT work Miley. I hope you do well and succeed in later life, not just in fame.

If people don’t like Miley, then why do you all have to say something negative? She is living her life the way she wants it. Her fans will buy her book, and her “haters” won’t. Okay I think miley is great. she didnt ask to be a role model, her career just puts her in that situation, so she messes up, she human right? we all mess up, most girls take pics of themselves, unfortunaly hers got out, just because shes a role model doesnt mean that kids are going to do every single thing that they see her doing. its unfair to say she has to be perfect because shes famous, isnt that what were trying to get away from ( super thin aanorexic bleach blond, fake tan) shes real, and thats why we love her,,, real people make mistakes.
