Brooke should have been the one to go. How many times is she going to restart songs on national television? You don’t do that when you are performing live on tv. In concerts, maybe. She keeps forgetting lyrics WTF? Carly was lively. she’ll be ok.

Thank god Jason is safe!! Just because he has a bad performance one week doesn’t mean he should go home. It wasn’t his genre so off course he didn’t do as well. But Syesha and Brooke have been in the bottom 3 for the past couple of weeks because they haven’t been consistently good. They should have gone home.

I agree Carly shouldnt have been sent home, but i do have to disagree and say that Brooke deserves to still be there. That girl can sing. So she flubbed and you cant hold it against her in Every Breathe because she was a note in. Yeah stage fright happens forgetting lyrics happens, but Brooke deserves to be there. ahhh I am so glad Carly left us tonight. She really just bothered me. All I can say is go David’s. We all know it is going to come down to them but I think Cook should win. And as for the rest of them it really doesn’t matter the order they leave the show but I would love to see an all male top 3 with Jason in 3rd place.

THIS IS ABSURD! This show has become a mockery and is a mere popularity contest.
The fact that the two best performers of the night were in the bottom 2 while the worst (Brooke and Jason were not) is horrendous.

After Michael John and Carly being voted off, the show is now void of any personality and excitement.

The only person left who I remotely want to vote for is David Cook but things won’t be the same without Carly now.

My favorites are safe and that is what I care about. My cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Jason is safe. I love his voice his face and his cute personality. My favorite of curse are also David A and David C.

As long as those three are in the competition I will be happy as a clown.

I really wasn’t expecting this, it should either be Jason or Brooke to have gone home, not because they’re bad singers, but because they had the most weak perfomance last night. Syesha is amazing, it hurts to see her in the bottom 3 every week, and Carly is really really good, she shouldn’t have left tonight. I first thought the final 3 would be Carly, Michael Johns and Syesha, but ever since Michael left I lost all hopes for a fair finale. Like everyone has said, AI has turned into a popularity contest, so it’s pointless to have talented people there anyway. Maybe next year they won’t choose people because of their singing, and maybe that won’t be as unfair as it has been.

i really didnt see carly going home this week at all. I really thought it would be between Brooke White, Syesha Mercado or Jason Castro but not Carly. I liked Carly alot and she has a awesome voice. Good luck Carly with everything you do and Ill be watching out for you and see what goes on because I will be buying your CD if you make one. David Archuleta is my favorite though and I really hope he wins American Idol because he really does deserve it and God Bless David and good luck next week. David A. you are amazing.

carly gave the best performance of the night. everyone was rockin out. i loved the musical director dancing & the back up singers were so into it. she was the only one to do the great music of alw justice. david a & seyisha both gave enjoyable performances. everyone else sucked. i like brooke - she seems super sweet but she is a terrible performer & an average singer. jason is a loser. simon got it right way back when he asked him if he was serious about the competition. it is like he doesn’t care. maybe that is the stoner in him - he just always seems stoned but he could just not have any personality. there must be some young girls out there voting for him.

Don’t feel too bad for Carly. She had a record out by a major label a few years ago. It tanked, but I am willing to bet they will resurrect it now that she is off the show.

Although Carly is a good singer, I personally didnt think she shouldve have won the competition. She already has an album out, and with that said, it just wouldnt have been fair to the other contestants, who havent had that opportunity yet.

By the way, why do so many people think Syesha shouldve been sent home? Shes very talented and personable. Its unfair to want to wish her home. Brooke on the other hand, ouch. I think its her personality thats keeping her on. While her talent is mediocre, she doesnt have a power voice, and isnt such a good singer. Jason also proved he’s not a great singer. These people should be voted off, and lets allow the real competition to start, although we’ve lost great singers already (Michael being one of them!!)

And I too just don’t understand why all the backlash against Syesha, who IMO, has a great voice — much better than some others still on the show — especially that damn David A. I can’t understand why still all the hype. The boy is boring. And he has no stage presence. And he appeals to a limited number of people — particularly teenyboppers. I can’t see what the judges see in his performances that’s so great and I don’t see what some of these fans of his see. But, I guess there’s no accounting for taste, is there?
