“Wonderful mom”?! Her mother let her 14-year old daughter live with and have sex with her boyfriend! Who in their right mind does that?? I think Marcheline is just as responsible as John Voight is for Angelina’s rough adolescence.

#1) Angelina was a troubled teenager and would have dated/had sex with that boy anyways….so Marcheline had him move in so she could watch over them.
my mom always says to me “if you want to drink, drink with me”
i think Marcheline was using the same concept (even though drinking and having sex are very distinct)
#2) Atleast her mom was there for Angie; she may not have been the best mom in the world, but Angie could ALWAYS count on her. (unlike her dad)
besides, you have to think what her mom was feeling at the time; she was practically abandoned by her husband…
so given the predicaments and challenges she faced; i believe she was a wonderful mother/ just like angie.

Do you recall ever being at the zoo when something stirs up the inhabitants of the monkey cage? The hysterical screams and clatter is deafening and has little to do with reality. It could be that one monkey got mad about something and the others just joined in the screaming, with little or no awareness of what they were doing or why…as in “monkey see, monkey do”. Reading these posts reminds me of a day at the zoo.
