OlderJennifer Garner Shows Her Side of the Truth
Jennifer Garner shoots scenes for her new movie, This Side of the Truth, on Thursday in Boston, Mass. (Husband Ben Affleck is a big Red Sox fan and one of her sisters lives in town.)
During a film break, Jen, 36, spent some mother-daughter bonding time with Violet, 2 1/2.
This Side of the Truth is a comedy set on an alternate Earth where no-one has ever lied, and stars Ricky Gervais (UK’s The Office) as a performer who tells the world’s first, coming to wield its power for personal gain. Gervais is also directing. Kudos to Jen for picking good movies–this seems like another winner!
The film has a star-studded cast complete with Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, Jeffrey Tambor, Jason Bateman and Patrick Stewart. Bateman starred in Juno with Garner. Tambor and Bateman worked on Arrested Development together.

Sorry all Violet has going for her is cute dimples & that about sums up how plain this child looks, Suri Cruise & Shiloh Jolie-Pitt are Georgeous!
I’ve noticed that this child always looks very happy when she’s with her mama. Garner plays with her and has that “upbeat” attitude whereas Affleck is more serious. Whenever I see Ben with Violet, she’s not playful. I’m sure Ben adores her and that Violet loves her daddy, but despite what Garner says, Violet is her mommy’s little girl. That’s sweet because Violet is really beginning to look a lot like her mom.
Ah its so nice to see Violet again! She is getting so big!
Here’s Jen Garner again- whoring out her daughter some more. You don’t see Ben because he doesn’t ***** Violet out! (And rumor has it he’s getting sick of his wife but loves his daughter to pieces, which is why he’s still married- that and trying to continue to salvage his reputation.)

sweetness - I’ve seen tons of pics where Ben is playful with Violet. He clearly thinks the world of her. He only looks serious because he hates the paps, but somehow the paps have caught real candid moments where you don’t see that.
I read on another site that BOTH Ben ad Jen will be in DC this weekend to attend a function. Just because they aren’t pictured together, doesn’t mean their relationship isn’t as solid as ever. We have no right to assume anything about this family just because they aren’t in the same set of pictures. Ben’s been working on State of Play in DC and other projects and Jen has been working in Boston on 2 movies. You can’t be in two places at once.
I don’t see why ppl feel Jen pimps Violet - you see just as many pics of other celebs babies without those kind of comments. I think it’s great it’s been so long since we’ve seen pics of little Vi. I’m surprised they were able to go so long without running into paps - except they are in Bean-town so there are fewer paps.
I imagine Ben Affleck being sad today bcz his movie ‘Gone Baby Gone’ didn’t get the recognition he was expecting. I think he badly wants a repeat of the kind of success he got w/Good Will Hunting. Matt Damon’s career took off, especially with those Bourne movies and The Departed.
Its wierd, Jennifer and Jason Bateman were in The Kingdom AND Juno AND this new film together and Jason and Ben were in State of Play (filming) and Smokin Aces together.
Why this lovely family gets such negative comments from people is beyond me (I think its simple jealosy, myself). They seem to be the most normal and happy family around, and I guess its obvious they have more going for them than other famous families –or your own families for that matter! They have all managed to be seen in DC and Boston together but not photographed, thank goodness for them, I’m sure they are happy they have managed to avoid paps for like 2 months now.
Wow, her career is doing so much better than anyone else from Alias, although Bradley Cooper is doing films now, he is going to be in that movie “he’s just not into you” with Scarlet Johansen, as is Ben.
The reason they were able to avoid the paparazzi is probably because they CHOSE to avoid them.
I will take plain jane over miserable damien-look-alike and Mary Catch -a fly-in-my -mouth any day!

Well they are just kids anyway, have seen a picture of Paris Hilton at age 13..she was quite an ugly duckling…you can purchase beauty these days if you got the money…teh cruises alreasy invested in their features, wheras, ben and jen have thier natural look which means the child will not be bad off and with good features, whearas Duri can turn out anyway other than expected due to the fact that her parents have altered their features, ..its like expecting Tori spelling daughter not to inherit the pre surgery ace…what a shocker hahahah
While I like other celebs, Jen is always #1 for me. I love that she does what she wants, where she wants with her little girl. She said she is not going to let her celebrity & paparazzi whatever affect the way she lives her life. Good for her. As for the few negatives, that’s all it really is. A few. Look at how many positive posts about them. Good job Mrs. Affleck. And good luck to the two new films & the other six under your production. Way to go Sydney, er, Jen, lol.
I think people who pick on this family do so because they are so normal. Some people aren’t content to see a happy family or a ‘normal’ family. They HAVE TO try to find faults because they have so many of their own. Pretty sad really. Why don’t you guys look in the mirror and find your own faults and fix them. Maybe then you will have a happier life. Peace.

And another comparison, she’s allowed get make a mess of herself. See the water mark on her shirt, yet she’s still happy and care free.
Unlike Suri in the park, where she was supposed to be playing, yet she just stood there like a robot low on batteries.
AHH i live where they’re filming this and i got to go upstairs to the closed set it was so cool i missed meeting her by legit 10 minutes. but only me and my mom and one other woman were waiting to see her and she came out twice but she was on the phone so i diodnt want to bother her and be like JEN ahaha but i got a picture of her back. but thats so weird that you guys got a picture of her, no one else was there and the other woman only got a picture of her back too. kudos to you justjared.com haha
AHHHH! Violet is a such so beautiful little baby and Jennifer is so beautiful.. All of you are so perfect family.. I’m so glad to see them in Lowell, MA for the filming new movie.. I’m real interesting the filming..
I hope they’ll coming back again in the future..

I am glad for Jennifer - GARDNER, that is. Apparently some women can have it all - children, family and A-list career to boot !
I am also glad for my mother - that she chose to have me and my brothers, but never forgetting her worth as a woman, and with sheer determination to pursue her own ambition to be a lawyer.
I am so proud and laud these women - shinning examples of the independent and confident women.
