I have to say that the cynicism is really running thick here tonight. WHY is it so damn hard to believe they are a couple? I’m not saying madly in love or soulmates or what have you, nobody knows how deep it runs but them, but just just that they are dating? I mean think about it if they really WANTED to be noticed they could have gotten courtside seats and would have been front and center. But no it looks like they were fairly far back in the bleachers.

that was funny but I agree with you. Vanessa seemed more into the camera person because she kept looking over there and then when she realized they just keep focusing on her and Zac she about yanks his arm out of the socket so she could grab his hand. Zac seemed to be really into the game. When they stood up they might have been holding hands for like a second then Zac put his hand the one next to Vanessa in his shirt why not the other one just seems odd to me. I just feel like Zac at some point might have mentioned he had Jazz tickets and Vanessa weasled her way into going because she could have given a hoot about that game. I agree. When I see a random couple on the streets that look or act the way Zac and Vanessa look or act, I don’t automatically assume they have some kind of hidden agenda or problem. Its ridiculous for people to think Zac and Vanessa are a special case when it comes to coupledom.

I’m pretty sure that if Zac did’n want to keep hoding Vanessa’s han d he could have pulled away as before that they are sitting very close to each other and when they are standing you see Zac do what he normally does and that’s puts his hand on Vanessa’s back.

They have never been a couple that go over the top in public with PDA and they have had two weeks to catch up again after being apart for those months, so I would imagine any deep shows of affection have been done behind closed door’s which is the right thing to do not in front of the camera’s for the world to see.

I would’nt say that she n early pulls his arm out his socket she was just holding his hand what’s so wrong with that, they looked happy enough after all it was a night out that was nothing to do with work so good for them.

Totally agree with you why is it so hard to bebelive that Zac did ask her to go,even when your a couple you don’t have to be into something as much as the other person but you go anway as it’s called supporting your partner but also just a chance to hang out and have some fun after work. As you say Zac went tothe fashion show he did’nt have to but he did.

There just a young couple going out and having a good night by the look of it and catching up again after being apart for so long, it’s not so unheard of a thing to do.

And to me Vanessa did’nt grab Zac’s hand straight away when they spooted the camera, but as I’ve already said he could have let go if he wanted to. Also if you look at how close the other people are sitting to each other compared to how close Zac and Vanessa are sitting to each other theirs no com parision you could’nt get between them to me that action as well shows how close they like to be wth one another.

Situation Nr. 1: two young people sit in a back row, watch a game among hundreds of Jazz supporters.

Situation Nr. 2.: two people stand up and wait to be spotted by a camera (Jumbotron - sorry, I’m not American so I don’t know the correct phrase but you can get what I mean).

Think in a logical way: Which sitution is appropriate for advertising? When would you grab your fake boyfriend’s hand if you wanted to be spotted by everyone in the arena to advertise yourself, your fake relationship, your upcoming work, etc.?

Of course, the second one because then everybody could have seen the couple. And what did they do in that situation? They stopped holding hands. Because they definitely didn’t wanted to be spotted together.

#191 Well apparently you have been “sucked into all this Disney stuff…just for a movie” because you are posting on a thread for two actors who are starring in a Disney movie. You know I don’t think these of “Fake” or “Marketing” would bother me so much if someone would provide one CREDIBLE piece of evidence that was the case.

And “They haven’t been seen together since the end of January and here they are all of a sudden holding hands,” isn’t going to cut it, because we KNOW they”ve been filming two seperate movies *Vanessa in Austin and Zac in The United Kingdom* during that time. If it were physically possible to be in two places at once I’m sure we would have gotten plenty of pictures in that time.

My theory is the following: Vanessa saw a camera and showed it to Zac. They could not decide whether that camera was focused on them or on the crowd in general. Zac shifted because his overprotective side started to be activated. He became tense so Vanessa held his hand showing him that she was with him. When the crowd jumped up you can see Zac glanced back to the camera for a second. He was REALLY uneasy but tried to focus on the game instead. (How sweet is that…)

When the camera moved closer to them in the second part of the video he was surprised so let her hand. (That is one of the reasons why I said he has an overprotective side although I only guess it because I don’t know him in real life.) They were waiting and became anxious because of the camera. If you watch the video again you could see that he was touching her hand with his for tiny seconds while they were standing. (Again, how cute is that…)

Awwh, this video and the set of rehearsal photos made my day. :)

It’s so cute when she grabs his hand and when he has his hand on her back and is whispering to her. I love this couple because they just have these little gestures which show so much love and affection between the two of them. It’s nice that they’re still going strong even though they’re such a young couple that are constantly being scrutinised by the media and general public. Even if they don’t last forever, they’ve already lasted nearly three years and obviously still love being in each other’s company. At the end of the video where they’re smiling, I can’t help but smile as well because the love in their eyes and smiles is just so apparent and it’s amazing to see. I think they have a really good chance of lasting considering how far they’ve already come after such a young age and during all that they’ve been through that most couples don’t go through.

As for Vanessa grabbing his hand because she saw the cameras, when have Zac & Vanessa ever been a couple to flaunt their relationship? They NEVER go into details of their relationship in interviews and sometimes even deny it. They hardly ever have candid photos where they’re showing PDA towards each other and we have only ever had ONE set of candid photos where they’re kissing and that was Hawaii, when they didn’t know the paparazzi were there. No-one can say why she grabbed his hand, there may have been a number of reasons. They may have been pointing at something else and not seen the camera, Zac may have become tense and annoyed after seeing the camera so Vanessa held his hand to help to calm him or they may just think ’screw it’ and think that they’re not going to let the paparazzi or media stop them from showing affection towards each other.

For those that are saying Vanessa forced Zac to take her. Shut up. Seriously, don’t be ridiculous. If she did, wow she must be one hell of a tough nut if she can get a 20-year old man to take her to various places almost weekly for nearly three years, including fashion shows and other places where it’s obvious Zac wouldn’t have gone without Vanessa. Have you not SEEN the Palm Springs/Hawaii/pretty much any of their photos where Zac is quite obviously staring at Vanessa, often smiling. He’s. In. Love. With. Her. Why is this so hard to grasp?! Just look at the latter half of this video! He keeps leaning down to whisper to her and smiles at the same time he does this. WHY would he do this if they didn’t really like each other and Vanessa invited herself?! WHY?!

And why did no one accuse Zac of grabbing Vanessa’s hand for publicity when they went out for his birthday at Orso? There was far more paparazzi there? Oh, I know. Because the majority of people that make up this crap about Zac & Vanessa are silly little teenage girls that ‘hate’ Vanessa because they either want Zac for himself or want him to be with Ashley or Nikki. Never gonna happen! Zac’s good friends with Ashley, but it’s pretty obvious there’s no real attraction between them. Her boyfriend is very different to Zac and Vanessa is very different to Ashley. And as for Nikki, how long is it since they’ve seen each other by choice, not including award shows etc.? A long time.

I’d just like to make a final comment on Zac & Vanessa’s clothes. They really are the most stylish young couple in Hollywood in my opinion. He always dresses well and Vanessa’s style is just amazing. She’s wearing something so simple, but has put it together so well that it looks incredible. She rivals some of the major fashion contenders in Hollywood at the moment such as Rachel Bilson and Nicole Richie. She’s gorgeous!

Maybe she pointed the camera because she didn’t know if it was a paparazzi or not and then she asked Zac to have his opinion …

as far Vanessa looking good - I pointed this out somewhere last night - she looked great and really think she had on one of the white t shirts that a lot of others around them had on - and then put her jacket back on - at a lot of games the sponsors give out shirts to like the first so many people to the game - it just looks like one of the shirts and then she “styled it up” in her own way…..just my theory. She looked great if it was or wasn’t - always the right assessories, hair, etc.

I dunno, it’s very possible that she didn’t see the camera and just pointed towards the court (at least at first, then maybe she noticed the camera I’m not sure) because once she did grab Zac’s hand neither she nor Zac were looking towards the camera which I think they would have if it would have been for publicity, also, after Vanessa reaches for his hands he does lean closer to her and looks more relaxed, not the other way around.
And like someone have said, why wouldn’t they have courtside tickets if they would have wanted to be seen together. However, if they had seen the camera, I think that they thought that it was to show them on the big screen over the court and not from a news station, because every game is crowded with cameras.

I’m not sure but I think that Zac might be saying something like “I’ve never been on one of those before” (about the Arena Jumbotron) and I’m more sure that at least Vanessa replied “I know, I’m so exited”

If Zac had grabbed Vanessa’s hand instead of the other way around, no one would have cared. Someone needs to explain to me why every time Vanessa’s affectionate towards Zac, she gets bashed, but when he’s affectionate towards her, he’s called sweet, romantic and caring.

About the rings:

I doubt that Zac and Vanessa spend time reading Internet blogs about themselves, but I’m sure each of their publicists/managers have told them how fans hype and agonize over the rings.

I don’t know about them, but if it were me, that would devalue the rings originally meaning. And, again, if it were me, I would retire those rings permanently and replace them with some token that fans would never know about.

With the hand holding if they did spot the camera surely they would have held hands from the moment they saw it just to make sure that they had ben spotted showing some PDA towards one another to prove that they were still together, not after they had a chat and then held hands after which Zac moved closer to Vanesa not away from her, so if itwas all fake and purely for publicity sureley they would have ben holding hands from the moment they sat down.

I agree with your post and that is what my feeling was when I first saw the video—that maybe it was Vanessa that needed Zac’s support when she thought a camera was on them. But as you were mentioning, he didn’t seem to have a problem responding in kind by holding her hand just as tight. I think the gesture was very much like “We’re in this together, whatever happens”.

I really love the vid. I’ve watched it so many times. I just enjoy seeing them enjoy each other in such a normal way. They really have the comfort level in theor relationship that most happily married couple do have and that’s great for a young couple facing the pressures they face. I’m so rooting for them, they seem to have their heads in the right place.

As for those here or on whichever site arguing about whether it’s fake or not. The important thing is that they can argue till kingdom come but their opinions don’t matter to either Vanessa or Zac or to their fans either so they can save their breath.

They are just his fans because of his so called hotness and the image THEY want of him. He has to go out with who THEY want him to go out with and do what THEY want him to do before they can be happy. They’ve put him on a perfection pedestal and he has to maintain that image to keep them happy.
Finally it’s all about them and what they want, not about Zac or what makes him happy. The sooner he looses these fans, the better for him.

At least Vanessa’s fans have shown they care about her as a person, are aware of her imperfections but love her all the same and that love most of the time is extended to anybody associated with her because we TRUST HER judgement about what is best for her and support her all the same. That is why she feels free to be herself because she has no image to maintain to her fans. We love her for who she is and we always have her back.

You have a point about Zac’s fans and Vanessa’s fans. Zac has those “fans” who always seem to know what’s “best” for him when it comes to choosing someone to love. I love it (NOT) when people say he would be better with Ashley or whoever. They seem not to believe he knows who makes his heart beat faster, his palms to sweat, and his respirations to increase, let alone who puts a smile on his face and love and desire in his eyes.

Vanessa, on the other hand rarely hear her fans telling her she should ditch Zac—I know it happens once in a while but not much. Maybe it is because more females frequent chat boards like this or fansites like zefron. AND unfortunately, females tend to be catty and let their jealousy show. They may not like it when the word jealousy or insecurity is brougt up but it is true nevertheless. Male attention is really important to many females and it is many time their arena of competition. Males do not tend to backbite or put down other males. Inside they may feel a little threatened but they don’t always talk about it or make it known in the same way. Succeeding in work and tings like that is their arena of competition most of the time. That is how they get the type notice they want—and it doesn’t just bring rewards career wise but also in female attention, etc. At any rate, most of Vanessa’s fans stand behind her no matter what her choices are and try not to second guess her.

I have said that before too poppy that what goes on behind closed door’s nobody but those people know and to be honest why should they tell anybody else, they have been apart for nearly 3 months and back together for nearly two weks out of the public eye and these are the first picture’s and video of them trying to get on with their jobs and having some quality time together like any other couple, as it should be any real deep shows of affection have been kept between the two of them and not shown i public, but then agian they have never been anything different so good for them and I hope they enjoy their time together and contiune to grow in every way.

the REAL reason noone knows who either of them are is that:

(1) people aren’t used to seeing Vanessa with her clothes on. most of the pictures of her on the internet are those gross ones she took for drake bell!

(2) zac mostly hangs out at gay bars and gym locker rooms….and he has lost his good looks….his hair is really thin and receding and he has lost all his weight….he looks like he is dieing.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY: neither of them have done anything since HSM except that Seventeen movie that is going straight to DVD!!!

Why would anyone from Disney bother to go to a game that has nothing to do with them, also Zac and Vanesa are’nt the only one’s you can see clearly when they are sitting down, but your theory that all becuase they can be seen in a unobstructed view it’s staged does’nt excatly quite add up as once the other people stand up at one point then all you can see is Zac’s face and not that clearly and yet when everyone sits down they ar still holding hands by that time they could have let go of each other as by all acciounts by then they knew that they were being filmed so why kep holding hands just for the sake of it.

Zac and Vanessa don’t need to prove anything to anyone they are comfortable being around each other and with themselves so if they want to hold hands then that’s their buisness nobody else’s.

Just want to say my piece before I leave. I have lost track of the no. of times I’ve played that video. I can see clearly now how Zac straightened in his seat(sat up) when he felt uncomfortable and Vanessa intertwined her fingers with his and he relaxed again and leaned closer to her. They were sitting pretty close together before this anyway. You just have to be observant that’s all.

Also, along the line of my last post about the tabloids: Just today someone posted how everyone should go see what the latest in National Ledger was saying about Zac and Vanessa. This is a good example how these type publications distort things: We have a thread about Zac being shirtless and Vanessa showing a little bit of an undergarment and they are on the set of HSM3. OK, the pictures here on JJ show Zac without his shirt—something we have seen more than once—even in the first HSM movie. Vanessa is not showing anything more than a lot of girls her age do now in their fashions—certainly she is more covered up than many celebrities in candid shots.

The National Ledger in their article is referring to these very pics and states that HSM stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens “strip down” on the set of their new movie, inferring they were doing something “naughty” and showing off or getting carried away, etc. Well, if someone was just reading that and didn’t go see the pictures or whatever, what do you think most people would think?
