Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness enjoy the races with about 35,000 others at David Jones AJC Australian Derby Day at the Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
Hugh, 39, was still sporting massive amounts of facial hair as he’s been busy filming his latest movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
At the races, the couple mingled with cute couple Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr.

There’s nothing wrong with Deb. I don’t know why people kept complaining about the age (appearance) difference. It just comes to show you how everyone thinks looks is everything these days. Keep in mind, most married couples who marry because of just looks usually get divorced very soon.
Pretty much true #11, they might look beautiful, but they could have a rotten attitude. Most likely prom queen’s who grew up thinking they are beautiful, when inside they’re very ugly!

Always liked Hugh and Deb (cuz shes not your usual Hollywood beauty…) but man, Deb has got the worst tastes when it comes to shoes! usually what shes wearing is hideous too, but in these sets of pics they’re not as bad as usual….
Love Hugh, sexy guy. So what if his wife is older than him. They seem happy, that is all that really matters.

Deborra-Lee Furness (born 1955) is an Australian actress, director and producer.
Furness is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts New York. She met actor Hugh Jackman when they co-starred on the Australian series Correlli in 1995, and the couple married in February 1996. They have adopted two children: Oscar Maximilian Jackman, born May 15, 2000, and Ava Eliot Jackman, born July 10, 2005.
Furness is also a partner in the production company Jackman founded with John Palermo, Seed Productions.
In 2000 Furness was nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role in a Television Drama award at the Australian Film Institute awards (the most prestigious awards body in Australia).
They look so cute in picture #12 with her hand behind his back. Unlike other couples, they never looked too posed or staged. Love the laugh lines they both have. They have spent a great deal of time smiling and laughing. I wish them many, many more years of laughter.

WOW so she is 13 years older than Hugh…. almost old enough to be his mom. She and Demi are almost in a dead heat for boy toy! I think I would choose Hugh over Ashton… but, not a bad choice either way.

Being an Aussie, I still recall seeing Hugh & Deb opposite each other in in the mini series, Corelli, in the early 90’s. Hugh was a prison inmate (who refused to speak) and Deb played a prison psychologist, who he eventually falls in love with. They weren’t yet a couple but boy, you could tell she had him at hello, you could see it in his eyes. The Australian Broadcasting Commission has now re-released Corelli on DVD. If you are a Hugh Jackman fan, and would like to see what a brilliant actress Deb is, you should give it a peep!
I live in Sydney and a lot of talk around here is that John Palermo, who runs Deb & Hugh’s production company, is Hugh’s lover. And Deb was known to be gay before she married Hugh.
Their marriage is the perfect way to have the best of both worlds, no?
These two are one of the most genuinely happy couples around. Anyone who has been in their presence sees and feels it. She’s such a laugh!
