Speed Racer is Raining, Ooh Baby, It’s Raining

South Korean actor/singer Rain, aka Jung Ji Hoon, poses with the “The Mach 5″ at a special advance screening of his latest live action film adaptation Speed Racer at the ImaginAsian Center on Friday in Los Angeles.

This will be the first appearance in a Hollywood film for Rain, 25. He’ll play Taejo Togokhan, a rookie racer.

Speed Racer will premiere on Saturday, May 3, as the closing film at the Tribeca Film Festival, and will be released nationwide on Friday, May 9.

ok. he may look really geeky asian, but you’ve got to see his “work” in some pretty good korean drama. He is smoking hot on screen. Simple pics on the red carpet doesn’t justify. Don’t underestimate Rain people. He’s hotter than any hollywood actor.

at long last!! he’s finally entered hollywood!! can’t wait to see him in the movie.. Thanks for posting his pics. I know a lot of you doesn’t have a good first impression of him. But wait till you see his acting, singing and dancing skills!!! you’ll go gaga over him!

Colbert has challenged Rain to a “dance-off” and Rain has accepted, or so I’ve read. Supposedly, Rain will be on the Colbert Report on Monday (4/28).

Not a big fan of his current look (too fussy and fey!) but he can look incredibly sexy–no Jang Dong Gun, but still, pretty hot. And one of the sexiest singing voices ever–when he is singing in Korean.

Looking forward to having more Asians in American entertainment MINUS the martial arts! There is some incredible talent (and wonderful eye candy, for the gents and ladies! :-))
