The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

I believe its disgusting what her parents are letting her do. She is only 15. Now the talk is she wants to star in a movie where there will be complete naked scenes, partying and all. Isn’t this illegal? My daughter looks up to her. Was ready to start getting all kinds of Hannah Montana things for her for Christmas. Not after reading all that I’ve read. Disney should fire her. Disney is for decent kids. Not like this. She is old enough to say No. Nobody is pushing her. Father is sick for posing with her and who knows what will come next with him and her? Leeching off his daughter, trying to get in the spotlight again using her, posing with her…..whats next? I blame the dad more than her but she should know right from wrong also. Then the bottom line……doing this for Jesus? After all this? Come on, give me a break. Also daddy putting out his new song “Somebody Said A Prayer”? Alot of prayers needed for this family. She’s UNDERAGE. Allowing this is illegal. If any other person would allow this happen with his or her daughter they would go to jail! I guess hollywood doesnt have the same laws to follow as we do. By the outrage of many other parents not so much memorabilia will be bought. I hope and pray for that. Her dad is the lowest for allowing this. Not buying any of his music either and when any of their songs come on the radio, will turn it off. When they go to church they need to pray for themselves. They’re just hypocrites. They need to humble themselves before God quickly before its too late. Especially Miley. Can understand that she wants to grow up but this is the WRONG way. Hopefully and prayerfully someone close to her will make her understand before its too late. She’s a beautiful girl with a hopeful life before her. Don’t ruin it Miley. Don’t let them ruin it for you. Time goes by quickly and you’ll be an adult before you know it. Enjoy this time now. Spend more time with God in the right way. Can’t go to God and then do this all over and over again. You’re loved by many, dont mess up your life. You get further in life being decent then going through this stuff. You’ll be knocked down quickly and forgotten.
All the other pics looked good i don’t understand why she had to take

yeah…i’m not gonna lie…the picture with her dad is just a bit creepy. I mean I love my dad very much but i would never feel comfortable posing with my him like that…its just weird! In my opinion the pic with her dad is way worse than the blanket one. i dont think shes a ***** or anything like that i just thin that she needs to think a lot more before she takes anymore photos.

I think you are all so jealous. Fake? She’s an actress. Loves attention. Of course, all entertainers loves attention. I think it is probably easier to speak to and be nice to the paparazzi than have them chasing you and causing you to wreck you car. Her show is a hit, her concerts are sell-outs. She has become rich from it. Obviously, some people like her. Nobody’s perfect. She’s a lot better role model than some of the other young stars. Oh yes, for you who said she’s “on her way to rehab,” I don’t think there has ever been evidence of drugs or alcohol. Get over yourselves. If you don’t like her then don’t watch her show.

im a young girl myself and, not to much older then miley cyrus, but honestly in my opinion i think the pictures really arent that bad a little risky but not too bad. but then again for her age they are inappropriate.
i watch disney channel alot (lol) and the image that miley portrays on there is some bubbly all-american teen girl whos just trying to lead a double life and have the same experiences any other normal teenage girl has. the vf pictures are the exact opposite of that. i mean come on, what 15 year old really poses like that? i know if i was a 15 year old pop singer my mother wouldnt dare let me take pictures like that. shes sending a totally different message with these pictures. and she couldnt possibly not know what these pictures looked like or the effect they might have once they were published, im quite sur ethey showed her OR her parents the proofs or whatever.
and for all the people saying its the photographers fault, she didnt pick the poses, and blah blah blah, miley had every chance and every right to choose whether or not if she wanted to pose like that/take those kinds of pictures. ****! shes miley cyrus//hannah montana for crying out loud, why cant she make the choice, or better yet her parents?!?! at 15 i think your parents should still have a big say in your life because THATS WHAT PARENTS DO no matter how big of a pop star you are.

Im quite upset that Miley, whom i am not particulary a fan of, was bashed for these amazing photos. Annie Leibovitz is one of the most prolific photographers of our generation, and for her vision to be questioned and said to be inappropriate is a travesty to all artists. She and Miley should be praised, not vilified.

You are an idiot. Why are you defending her. Well , there are to ways this could go: You think she’s hot, and you want her to be more revealing for YOU, or, you think (emphasis on the word think) she’s “like the best role model!” Depending on if you are a guy or girl.
I don’t actually have anything against Miley or Billy, but I do find it a bit odd of how she’s posed practically on top of her father’s lap. I mean she’s not nine anymore… she looks more like a young woman. Plus.. her dad looks a bit young and attractive himself. Those two things together make their photo a bit strange. It just seems a bit sexual and the ironic thing is… they didn’t even mean for it to look that way (when she was laying across her father.) Also… I’m Aquarian so I’m pretty eccentric and open minded… but even I don’t think it’s wise for a celebrity who’s only 15… to pose with a blanket wrapped around you with crazy long hair and heavy red lipstick. It just looks too “mature” for a 15 year old. It’s as though she was pretending to be a 25 year old who just had a roll in the “hay.” Oh… and is it just me or does Tish (her mom) look a tad emaciated? She’s probably just naturally really thin but it just looks unhealthy. She looks a bit skeletal to me.
Vanity fair pictures really affects Miley Cyrus career. Disney is now replacing her because of this. But it seems unfair because Hudgens of HSM is said to have a scandal on the net but Disney just neglect it. I think Miley should have given a chance.
