The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

Miley says that the photoshoot was “artsy” but why blame the photographer after the photos were released?? so pathetic… stop making excuses and insist that you want to learn from your mistakes… coz clearly you haven’t learned anything at all…

Here I’ll say this. Her ONLY respectable work was Hannah Montanah (JUST the TV Show). She is probably the worst role model any teenager or kid could have. She thinks she can just neutralize a series of wrongdoings by apologizing. Yes she’s human but she’s also a celebrity. She makes big money. She has a lot of responsibility to make sure kids don’t do something stupid to screw their lives over just because she did.
I quite like the photo actually, it looks like a beautiful painting. I can see how she thought it looked natural and artistic. However, I agree that it is inappropriate, especially in this day, for a 15 year old to pose like this.

There’s something mildly disturbing about her and her dad posing that way together. Actually, the whole thing is disturbing. And this “didn’t have a choice” thing is ridiculous. Its extremely easy to say no, and nobodys going to argue with Miley Cyrus.

So…let me rephrase that…..Vanessa MAY or MAY NOT have done it again but was wise enough not to have leaked different sets of photos 3 TIMES and pose provocatively for an “OFFICIAL PHOTOSHOOT” with the consent of her parents then TURNS AROUND to apologize to her fans then BLAME THE PHOTOGRAPHER for being “FORCED INTO DOING IT”. I just think Miley’s apology is totally insincere. Only backpedaling at the last minute. If she felt uncomfy in the first place, she should have said NO. Simple as that.

#26, the girl was not held at gunpoint. As a star, 15 or otherwise, she has every right to say NO, if she did not like the way the shoot was going. Annie is a photographer, not a movie director. Miley did have a choice and as far as we, her fans and non-fans, are concerned it was a BAD choice. And this was the third in a series of bad choices … and WE, are telling her and the rest of you dimwits, it’s three strikes and you’re out!!! What are you, 12?
