OlderMiley Cyrus’ Vanity Fair Pictures Arrive
The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

The shot of her on her own, i dont see any scandal in that. Its her back.. when she appears topless or naked then y’all have something to complain about. But its her back… get over it!
However, the shot of her with her dad is a little weird. If you didnt know that was her dad, you would think they were going out or something, the way they are posed.

Im quite upset that Miley, whom i am not particulary a fan of, was bashed for these amazing photos. Annie Leibovitz is one of the most prolific photographers of our generation, and for her vision to be questioned and said to be inappropriate is a travesty to all artists. She and Miley should be praised, not vilified.
i gess that miley is ok im not like ubsessed with her some people think that the picture is mileys falt but try to have people in your bisness ALL THE TIME you would not like it huh?! well i dont think that its miley falt its the photo persons falt and mileys gettin blamed for it!

You are an idiot. Why are you defending her. Well , there are to ways this could go: You think she’s hot, and you want her to be more revealing for YOU, or, you think (emphasis on the word think) she’s “like the best role model!” Depending on if you are a guy or girl.
I don’t actually have anything against Miley or Billy, but I do find it a bit odd of how she’s posed practically on top of her father’s lap. I mean she’s not nine anymore… she looks more like a young woman. Plus.. her dad looks a bit young and attractive himself. Those two things together make their photo a bit strange. It just seems a bit sexual and the ironic thing is… they didn’t even mean for it to look that way (when she was laying across her father.) Also… I’m Aquarian so I’m pretty eccentric and open minded… but even I don’t think it’s wise for a celebrity who’s only 15… to pose with a blanket wrapped around you with crazy long hair and heavy red lipstick. It just looks too “mature” for a 15 year old. It’s as though she was pretending to be a 25 year old who just had a roll in the “hay.” Oh… and is it just me or does Tish (her mom) look a tad emaciated? She’s probably just naturally really thin but it just looks unhealthy. She looks a bit skeletal to me.
Vanity fair pictures really affects Miley Cyrus career. Disney is now replacing her because of this. But it seems unfair because Hudgens of HSM is said to have a scandal on the net but Disney just neglect it. I think Miley should have given a chance.

wow im not at all a fan of miley cyrus i actually really dont like her, but i she did absolutely nothing wrong. so what shes not wearing a shirt. its not like she’s even exposed at all. the only skin showing is her back, and you cant even see a little glimpse of her side. if you pose for a vanity fair article, then you better be prepared. i mean like almost every one has some type of exposure in it, but its always very tasteful. its just a very cool artsy shot, and she looks quite good too.
i think thet the pics r pretty. im a fan of miley and i think she is an insperation laeder. and that is what they should call her.

Billy Ray must be pretty desperate, in nearly all photos of Miley Cyrus (fake *****, no talent what so ever) she’s with him. The only feature that makes him even remotely good-looking is his gay hair. Other than that, he can’t pull intense shots. And the rumours are true that he is boinking her.

What kind of fifteen year old daughter would take a picture with her father like that? Jeez at least get a blanket..your embarresing us. Ahem. But really now. People need to stop harping about the pictures..yeah..so what? she wanted to feel sexy..what girl doesnt? On the other hand…She’s only fifteen..Sure..she wasnt ‘Naked’ But she was pretty damn close.
