OlderMiley Cyrus’ Vanity Fair Pictures Arrive
The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

I think It’s nice that Miley and her father are so close…ya know alot of girls grow up without fathers. And it’s not like they went to the photoshoot asking to pose like that!! No it was probably the photographers idea. People are so quick to judge when they don’t even know a person. And as for her doing some sexy pictures….You know what? It’s HER life and she will do as she pleases.
I think there is nothing wrong with the picture of her and her father! they are close, it is not their fault some people don’t have fathers as close to them in their lives nor daughters who want nothing to do with their fathers. I dont get what is so gross about the picture, he is sitting behind her holding her hand, do you people not hug your children? your worried about her being your kids role model, seriously with the way some of you have spoken on her, I would like to see your families in the public eye.

I’m happy for Maile. If she doesn’t get knocked up for 10 years she should be fine. I think she is a good kid and handling the tons of money and fame pretty darn good compared to so many fu**ed up other kid stars.

I think that either way she has a voice wheather the photographer tells her to pose the way she did or didnt can be over ruled with a simple one word uttered from mileys mouth, NO! after all whose the star? whose paying the photographer? whose photoshoot is it??? If i were a star and i did that myself would be introuble to. thats not different from a 40 year old man sitting with his 15 year old daugheter lying on his package and being takin to prison for sexual child abuse. what a *****, i hope miley ends up getting cought having sex with her dad and then ends up pregnant and to find out later she got aids and her mom finds out and figures out she got aids too from billy ray, then she divorces him, there family falls apart and miley ends up in prison while she pregnent, then gives birth in prison only to loose the baby to the goverment so they give the baby away to someone else. later finding out that baby has aids from miley. ty =)
