Miley Cyrus’ Vanity Fair Pictures Arrive
The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

I like the pic featured. The photo does seem very artistic. I guess people with too much sex on the brain are reading way too much into this. As for why would vanity fair cover a 15 yr old teeny bopper is plain and simple. MONEY! Miley’s celebrity is off the charts and is raking in all sorts of money. SO naturally, any big company would want a piece of that. Also, teens are at the age where they are beginning to learn and explore their sexuality so don’t get all she’s a **** for having stupid photos on her myspace or whatever. Because guess what, maybe not in front of their parents obviously, but teens do start to push on the sexual limits. Hasn’t anyone been to a high school lately? And don’t count out junior high! There’s all sort of sex going on there and 13yr olds showing off their panties on myspace
And the coutndown to the Britney-style breakdown begins!
this is really gross.
I AM FIRST SUCK DORKS!!
i think that she is being ****** but if she wants to give up her great way of setting examples than she can i think she needs to take a loook a britney and wonder if she wants to be like her??
She is gorgeous. I saw her photos at a internet community called BlackWhiteKiss. c o Myesterday, where all single women are welcome since so many handsome black and white single men are there for a right girl..
Okay, I’ve read the article here are a few choice quotes from Miley.
On her internet pictures:
“It was me,” she says, “on my MySpace. For me, I was like, That’s two girls—it’s not a big deal. But they got spread around. Like someone copied and pasted and said, Omigod, look at this, and blah blah blah. I was just like it didn’t affect me. Everyone’s like, Maybe she’ll learn her lesson this time. Nope.” If she had been chewing gum, this could have been nicely underscored with a snap.
On her semi-topless picture:
Um, was Cyrus—or Disney—at all anxious about this shot? “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy.”
So why suddenly apologise now and blame VF and AL (not that they don’t have their share of blame.) But come on the family should accept responsibility for their actions. Once you read the article, you realise that the apology is only due to the backlash which they didn’t expect. They got careless and thought Miley was untouchable.
I still maintain she’s not a bad girl but I think she’s being wrongly influenced and should be taken off the limelight for her sake. No amount of money is worth your daughter’s life and future.
This is wrong……. just wrong in sooo many ways…… damn she is such a sluttt and her father……..f^uckin IDIOT!!!!!

Does anyone know the name of the clinic in Mexico where Miley got her abortion?
“And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
WOW, MILEY, YOURE SO SPECIAL.
special my ass. youre another hollywood wh ore with 0 talent. GET A LIFE, girl. and celebrity my ass too, youre never gonna be A-list. never gonna be even NEAR the caliber of hilary duff. have you LOOKED at yourself in the mirror before?
They tried to call these photos artistic. The only people who might think that are pedophiles. This was definitely a bad judgement call. The pictures are very disturbing. What father in his right mind would allow his 15 year old to pose in such provacative photos. The father, daughter photo was especially disturbing. They look like they could be a couple. ewww. So much for Miley’s wholesome image.
Cami #23 and #30 I COULDN’T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF!!!
This “girl” is acting 22, not 15. All the posters want to say she’s a great girl, and that might be true, but she is in love with the attention, and her father is too, and the only manipulation going on is the mags and paps are getting everything they want because they know this duo will do whatever they are asked to do.
That looks like the pose of a couple, not father and daughter. I don’t care that her midriff is showing, but note the awkward positioning of the hips to her torso, designed to show off her curves to their best advantage, as her head rests in the lap of the man behind her…. NOT appropriate for a 15-year-old.
This girl shows how little she is being guided when she talks about Sex and the City. That is a show that is “R-rated” if it had movie ratings. That means that under 17 should not be watching it. I think she does a lot of things that her parents think is okay simply because her job puts her in the public eye. That doesn’t make it okay.
When I read the article about the VF pictures, I thought they’d be much worse than they are. She actually seems like a really nice, real girl. I might actually watch her show now.
Now I understand why she’s not FRIEND WITH ¨PEOPLE OF HER AGE … because SHE DOESN’T ACT LIKE she’s 15 at all !!!!!!!!!!!
i think their pictures look nice so you guys really need to stop hating!!
OoooooooooooKkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk………….she is twisted!
Art?
Yeah- whatever makes you dream better at night….
omg waht the **** is her probelm??????? i mean who watches *** in the city at 15
When I see this odd (big understatement) picture with her father I am not especially surprised at those other halfnaked photos of her….
This is definitely not the father-daughter pic ANY father - with the slightest sense in his brain - would participate in!
Artistic - my a**!
I have always liked Annie Leibovitz ….but these semi-erotic tasteless photos of a 15 year old girl and her father OUCH!
she’s so stupid gawsh she’s such a *****
Haha #9! Straight to rehab!
You’re hilarious! I completely agree! =)

who the **** careslet her live her life the way she wants. let her do nude pics bet they wouldnt be bad
done act like you don’t want to hit that,I am 16,as if you’d say no to get paid for a photo witch isn’t even revieling, so stfu and find something to do besides acting all innocent
gay Muslims. Oh no for allah let’s cover our whole bobbies because our arm might get us raped
wow, you hear the fans say she wasn’t really naked, therefore it is okay. Never mind that “just made love to look”, let’s talk here real life.
There are girls similiar to this who sit there all wrapped up in a blanket, there is no fame, there is only shame. The mindset that allows Miley’s parents to have her pose like this is the same mindset that has gotten pedophilliia to where it is at in this country. Miley, just remember that the message you are sending is- it is okay to see young girls wrapped up in a blanket with the just made love to look. While you get fame, they will have some pig on top of them, raping them and they will be broken. There will be no glory in their photo moment.
uh. one of the reasons im beginning to hate miley cyrus. i mean she’s a disney kid and she’s 15 and her dad let’s her take a picture like that w/ him and her whole midriff out? WTF?! i think she should realise she has about 10 mil little kids looking up to her…so she should stop being the little ****** fame catcher she is
Who cares if she thought it was artsy?
Why would you want to take off your top for a
photoshoot at her age anyways?
She knew how it would have came off to
the fans.
Pretty girl but she’s really starting to live
in the world of bad judgement.
Okay, # 86, I’m not Muslim but even I am offended by your statement. You are very small minded. Not only that, you don’t seem to have any moral values either. You probably let your kids s**** in the front yard and then let them blame you for not opening the door for them in time.
No, No … Sorry, I meant # 85!!!
These pictures show bad judgment all the way around. I’d like to know what the adults (including the photographer) were thinking. Perhaps if Miley weren’t 15 or a role model to thousands of little girls, these wouldn’t be so bad. Still, I wouldn’t want my 17-year-old daughter posing for these.
