The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

Umm first of all wtf? Why is Sex in the City her favorite show? CLUE #1! && Isn’t it a bit strange to be posing so weirdly ((in a somewhat provacative outfit)) on top of her father? CLUE #2. And third, why the hell is she apologizing for the VF pics but not the other pics. CLUE #3. She’s a wh*re in training. *sigh* Her parents are really to blame. My dad wouldn’t even LET me pose on him like that. It’s weird. Especially not wearing that outfit. Omgg her family is pycho. Setting themselves up for failure.

Guess what, Miley-lovers??? No matter what you say, this IS wrong. You DON’T pose with your father like that…….no matter how much you love your dad. It’s much too suggestive. He’s a creep, pimping his daughter out. And the topless photo? Yeah, there are worse things out there, but a 15 yr old should NOT be posing like that for a national magazine. It’s ok if she’s goofing with her friends taking photos, but she had her parents’ watching this photo shoot. HER PARENTS ARE TOTALLY MESSED UP!!!!!!!!!!!
And guess what else? She’ll get past this, as actresses have in the past, but she needs to act her age, look her age, and get away from her trashy parents. And she needs to stop preaching about how good she is. She’s a normal teen except that she makes boat loads of money. She’s not a bad kid; she just has to make better choices for herself, cause obviously her parents can’t.
I dont think its right for vanity fair to ask a 15 year old to pose in such a provocative shoot… and her parents should have drawn the line…. nevertheless…. the photos were done tastefully and miley looks beautiful. If i were 15 and were asked to do a shoot with a world renowned photographer i would jump at the chance as well. Its teenage nature to want to grow up fast… i just jope miley doesnt grown up too fast. she really is a nice girl.

I think the New York Post has no right to blow this out of preportion nobody made a big deal when Lindsay posed COMPLETELY NUDE (Take it she is older but still a child actor) and now Miley has a satin sheet pressed against her chest and it’s the end of the world. Oh my god. She’s 15 yes but as she stated don’t blame her for making mistakes, she’d a normal person, whether you believe it or not and if you have something to write bad about Miley then you need to look in the mirror and check reality their are people in the entertainment world that are doing stuff worse than having a sheet over their chests. This picture is beautiful and Miley is a very beautiful and artistic girl and she deserves all the support she can get. And as for any pictures posted on the web of her you can just hold you tongue because their are far worse pictures on the peoples myspace’s who write bad about a sweet young girl. So before you talk I say look in the mirror and don’t take something so harshley. Miley handles these situations very well and I respect that. And to Luvn_hollywood11 she did get grounded but this was for a photoshoot and if you would read before you talk her family left except for her grandmother and teacher and so Trish (her Mom) was there she probally would have put her foot down. And how do you know she didn’t ground her for this you don’t live with her. Miley was there with herself making the decisions and so she chose a wrong move. In the long run this picture is beautiful and Miley should respect that she has the ability to take such beautiful photos. Never blame someone for their opinion because some people make mistakes yes and I’m sure everybody has something they wish they could take back so next time read the whole story or don’t open your mouth. Miley is beautiful and will still make it far and thats that.

She shouldn’t have done these pictures. Why didn’t her famous father say no to these pictures? Joy Behar on ABC TV’s The View here in the US had her on opinion on why he said yes and it was so that Billy Ray could try to revive his own career. And I think that she is right.

WOW!! ok, she knows what she’s doing!! she knows she’s taking this picture and she KNOWS that it’s going to be posted in a magazine!!! it’s different from all those other photos!! this time, she KNOWS everyone’s going to see it!! and yet she still goes ahead and does it!! and then she blames the photographer for her screw up!! this just proves she’s a sl*tty fake!!!
honestly…this is sooo sad…i agree with those of you who appear to have some respect and dignity for themselves — i mean hello the girl is 15!!!! she has all these little girls looking up to her!!!! she doesn’t deserve to be famous at all!
