The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

I think the New York Post has no right to blow this out of preportion nobody made a big deal when Lindsay posed COMPLETELY NUDE (Take it she is older but still a child actor) and now Miley has a satin sheet pressed against her chest and it’s the end of the world. Oh my god. She’s 15 yes but as she stated don’t blame her for making mistakes, she’d a normal person, whether you believe it or not and if you have something to write bad about Miley then you need to look in the mirror and check reality their are people in the entertainment world that are doing stuff worse than having a sheet over their chests. This picture is beautiful and Miley is a very beautiful and artistic girl and she deserves all the support she can get. And as for any pictures posted on the web of her you can just hold you tongue because their are far worse pictures on the peoples myspace’s who write bad about a sweet young girl. So before you talk I say look in the mirror and don’t take something so harshley. Miley handles these situations very well and I respect that. And to Luvn_hollywood11 she did get grounded but this was for a photoshoot and if you would read before you talk her family left except for her grandmother and teacher and so Trish (her Mom) was there she probally would have put her foot down. And how do you know she didn’t ground her for this you don’t live with her. Miley was there with herself making the decisions and so she chose a wrong move. In the long run this picture is beautiful and Miley should respect that she has the ability to take such beautiful photos. Never blame someone for their opinion because some people make mistakes yes and I’m sure everybody has something they wish they could take back so next time read the whole story or don’t open your mouth. Miley is beautiful and will still make it far and thats that.

Very strange photos, I don’t think I would ever think of doing stuff like that with my dad. As for the no shirt…god parents what r u thinking!! Are you crazy, do you want man dreaming of that at night, she is only 15, isn’t she??
She shouldn’t have done these pictures. Why didn’t her famous father say no to these pictures? Joy Behar on ABC TV’s The View here in the US had her on opinion on why he said yes and it was so that Billy Ray could try to revive his own career. And I think that she is right.

WOW!! ok, she knows what she’s doing!! she knows she’s taking this picture and she KNOWS that it’s going to be posted in a magazine!!! it’s different from all those other photos!! this time, she KNOWS everyone’s going to see it!! and yet she still goes ahead and does it!! and then she blames the photographer for her screw up!! this just proves she’s a sl*tty fake!!!

Okay this is my opinion…
The actual shots of the “photo shoot” we casual…and the posses during it were cute…but the ones focused on and that are being spoken of, are a little scandalous but give it her like this…she was in a “professional” shoot…with her father…and all she was trying to do was 1. be a little adventureous and artsy 2. Trying to feel sexy and grown up and 3 . Just taking photos…Its really NO BIG DEAL…I know she’s only 15 and i mean the big focus should be the way she kept on (practically) falling out of her dress and off her heels at the awards show preformance with her father…that was a little MUCH…Because she IS ONLY 15…
But as far as the photo(s) go …She’s just being a girl…and whatever…SHe’s NOT doing drugs, drinking, drunk driving and smashing into s**t and /or having her bare thang being photod as she exits cars….or for that matter ever been to REHAB…so just cut her some slack…not too much but at least a little k guys… :)

wow. i never knew so many people could be obsessed with a 15 year old girl! She’s a celebrity for kids! And guess what? She’s acting like any normal American girl. Nobody’s and I mean nobody’s teen kid hasn’t thought about testing their sexuality. I’m not a fan of miley’s nor am I a hater. I recognize that she has a large influence on the media centered on tweens. She’s for tweens! Odds are tweens don’t even read Vanity Fair! What I find truly sad and PATHETIC are the people ages 25 and over who are supposed to be adults and or parents (the most important role models for their children) calling her a “****” and what not. Maybe if you adults were actually any type of a role model, your children wouldn’t be so ga-ga over someone they see on tv.
Miley Cyrus is just another Paris, Linsday, and Brittany.
