The Vanity Fair photo spread of Miley Cyrus has been released! As always, here are some of the interview highlights:
On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”
On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”
On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”
On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”
On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

I do not see anything wrong with the pictures. She was covered the whole time. I have seen less clothes on people that walk the red carpet at the oscars. The news, media, and people in general need to get a life and leave these young girls alone.
wow, If people would focus on world hunger, poverty, the ozone layer and all the other issues we are going through now, like they are on these pictures, we might be able to get something done in this world.

For all this talk about other people putting her up to doing things, where is the talk about taking responsibility for her own actions. She is old enough to understand what she’s doing.

I have a 9 year old daughter that LOVES Miley.. I’m 30 years old and im not afraid to say what 99% of men are thinking … 15 or not she is gorgeous!! She shouldn’t be put down for this…. its not the “no underware picture, or typical sex video” that most of the stars her age are showing up in. Hell she’s not pregnant yet right..

Ahhh… my problem with the blanket one is that she looks like she just rolled out of bed with somebody… She isn’t really showing that much skin in that picture but it still looks way too old for her. And that picture with her father… is very creepy.
That picture is very inappropriate!!! I am now wondering if it was a good idea to buy Hanna Montana things for my young daughter. I think that the one’s responsible for these photos were her parents, not the magazine. I think the parents are money hungry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope she is not the next Brittany Spears!!! If you ask me Dad possing with the daughter is weird. Let her have her time,and but out!!!!!

all you talking **** over a dumb pic with nothing going on in it really need to get a life. shes not doing anything wrong or ******. there are worse pictures of girls the same age as her on myspace. what a bunch of losers making a big deal out of nothing
ew that is disgusting. why the hell would she pose with her dad like that? i admit that i’ve watched her show and listened to her music and been amused, but i don’t like her as a person. she is a **** to say the least. all those pictures of her in her undergarments or whatever are just few examples of how she truly is. and have you seen what she wears to concerts? it’s sad to think that young girls are seriously looking up to her. and yes most girls her age act like that, but none of them are parading around trying to act like something their not. girls who take pictures like that usually already act like that in public. it bugs me that she’s trying to play it off as if she actually is innocent and pure. give me a break. oh and she pledged her virginity to her father? that’s disgusting. i would never ever want my father to know a single thing about my sex life. that’s private. and it was obviously just for the press. it had absolutely nothing to do with actually wanting to stay chaste. so in my opinion she’s a sellout and people who are fans of her need a reality check.

I think Cami is a little bitter. Did Miley do something to you? Get a grip! The little girl took some pictures and while they may not have been the best choice they certainly aren’t the worst. Her parents must have thought that the pictures would come out okay, I don’t think they would have let her do something that would hurt her.
Parents sometimes make bad decisions as well it doesn’t mean that they are unfit or sending their child into the path of rehab and just because you don’t hear much about Hilary Duff doesn’t mean she hasn’t made bad decisions either. It just means she better at covering them up!
This is a little inapropriate for a 15 year old!! She has never been pretty or a good singer. No one would pose with their father like that unless they are overly close!! I don’t think this photo is appropriate at all and i think ,Miley will end up like Jamie Lynn and Britney!! How long till Miley will be in Rehab. Her dad is a bit weird for calling her “Destiny” No offence to people named that but DESTINY is a really weird name!! Miley and her dad are TOO close!!

OMG, it’s a picture? How can any of you judge her character, Have you actually MET her? These photos are taken by professionals, there is less “skin” showing in these pics than your basic summer outfit, so does that make all of us *****??? So be for real, it was a photo shoot in a respectable magazine, not some spead in Hustler!
