New York Post Cover: MILEY’S SHAME
Miley Cyrus has become the center of a media storm for a semi-topless photograph, taken by Annie Liebovitz for Vanity Fair’s June issue.
As you can see, the 15-year-old media darling made front page news of the New York Post with the headline exclaiming, Miley’s Shame.
The near-nude pic shows Miley clutching a satin sheet to her chest with her back bare exposed. In her interview with the mag, Miley said the picture is “really artsy,” but not “in a skanky way.”
She has since apologized to the public for the photos.
“Somebody needs to pull in the reins of this talented little gal before her career stampedes off into the sunset,” says the LA Times.
DO YOU THINK all of this attention on Miley Cyrus is out of control?

I looked at the pictures and really didn’t have a problem with them. I think they are over-blowing the pictures for publicity. Also I don’t see the pictures as “sexual”, but then again, I don’t find children sexy.
This will be the BEST thing for her career, trust me.
i dont think the picture was totally that bad. but i do think it was a bad choice to have it taken - shes 15 and it shouldnt have been suggested to her,
i mean im a huge fan of miley and i love her loads and think shes awesome, but all these photos keep coming out and when your trying to supoort one of your idols, it gets harder and harder with stuff like this coming out.
i agree that shes a teenager and i mean i know a lot of 15 year olds who take pictures like this on a daily basis, it just sucks that mileys have to be made public.
i think these newspaper headlines and stuff might set her straight though. shes allready said shes sorry, and now she might realize that these photos might be costing her her fan base, and she should really stop taking them - or atleast stop posting them on myspace.
hopefully these should be the last ”revealling” photos of miley we see :]
at this age you do not post like an adult. its gross to see her like this! her parents should be ashamed and buy all the vanility fair magazines all over the country and burn them. she is a role model for kids and should not looked like this at all.
i don’t see anting wrong with the “topless photos of miley cyrus. i think she’s a beautiful young lady with a gorgeous body,and the way i see it if she’s got the body she’d show a bit of it off. it’s not like she’s actually topless. so ashe shows a little skin, so !@#$%^& what. i don’t think she’d have to apologize anyone. she’d not have to feel embarressed about these pics. i love the pics of her, just cause she’s showing a little skin, taht don’t mean she’s out of control. it make sme wish i was 15 years old, or i lvied in a state with miley where it’d be legal to date her, lol.

One thing is for sure - she’ll probably never be photographed by Annie Leibovitz again. To try to blame the photographer, “You don’t say no to Annie Leibovitz” is a low, cowardly excuse. She apparently had her own representation there the whole time - parents, agent, and more. To now come back and say she is embarrassed - after the media uproar has begun - is just - the best word is cowardly.
Her parents or agent - seemingly responsible adults - should have and i think WOULD HAVE intervened if they thought there was anything inappropriate. NOW they think there was something untoward? Too little, too late. It’s not believable. They’re like any other stage parents, pimping out their kids.
At the same time she’s a normal 15-year-old who is getting used to the idea of the power of her young body and her sexuality, but she’s doing it in the public eye. As such, her parents ought to protect her even more. They’re the ones failing her, in my eyes.

and what’s up with her dad posing with her?? there is something very wrong with their picture. You cannot do a sexy pose with your dad like that when you’re only 15 years old!
people shouldnt be making such a big deal about this…seriosly people are saying stuff like “her fans are little girls and they shouldnt be seeing stuff like this” well if everyone keeps talking about it then these little girls may see it and yea but if people would just not talk about it so much then maybe there little girls wouldnt know about it because what 5 year old read vanity fair…..but yea whatever
and i also hate how vanity fair picked like one of the worse pictures…cuz i saw a few on their website that would have been much better

For goodness sakes, all you see is her back!!! I am still behind Miley 100%. My other favorite person, Vanessa Hudgens, had her problems too, where she took NAKED pictures and not expecting them to get all over the internet and stuff. Its just Miley’s back that you see!!!
The Vanity Fair Photo Shoot with Miley Cyrus and her father is tasteless and ludicrous! Whether this girl is an entertainer or not, she is by far NOT a woman and her parents should be ashamed…

this is ridiculous, nothing wrong with these photos, she could have been sitting at the beach covered up - maybe it is a publicity stunt by the magazine….. and who cares anyway when there are bigger issues, real issues out there
Why would you even think of taking a picture of a hopefully innocent 15 yr old girl wrapped in a blanket/sheet. It doesn’t make you say “ah” like you do when you see a bare butt of a baby on a rug! She is very impressionable at this age and still needs to learn what is acceptable. She also needs to learn that it is ok to say “no” when something doesn’t feel right. When she is 18 she can make those decisions for herself . Until then she needs sound parental advice and adults who are looking out for her long term welfare.
For all those comparing her to Vanessa H. I have this to say: Vanessa is 18 and the law states you can make your own decisions at 18, Miley has 3 years to wait.
Think about it this way, would you want your daughter who is a freshman or sophomore in HS to pose like that? I think Miley is cute and adorable, not sexy, not alluring, not sensual. She is a child!
I feel sorry that she is going through all this. I think she is too young to be held responsible for this decision.

Have you ever thought of the idea that some of the commenters (who are obviously grown ups) simply want to express their concern for your so called “life” and idol.
She is only 15 years old, not able to make all her decisions on her own and not perfect or a goddess. Please be aware of that!!!
People just don`t want her to end up in a rehab at the age of 19. She`s such a talented, lovely girl and she should stay and that means for her being aware of the dangers that are coming with her popularity, don`t you agree?
