Miley Cyrus has become the center of a media storm for a semi-topless photograph, taken by Annie Liebovitz for Vanity Fair’s June issue.
As you can see, the 15-year-old media darling made front page news of the New York Post with the headline exclaiming, Miley’s Shame.
The near-nude pic shows Miley clutching a satin sheet to her chest with her back bare exposed. In her interview with the mag, Miley said the picture is “really artsy,” but not “in a skanky way.”
She has since apologized to the public for the photos.
“Somebody needs to pull in the reins of this talented little gal before her career stampedes off into the sunset,” says the LA Times.

yea, shell get thru it long enuff 2 do it again. face it, miley nvr learns. she makes a mistake, apologizes insincerely, holds bak for a few weeks or months, then does the same stupid thing all over again. and each time it gets worse. ud think the 1st time wuld b enuff, but no, she keeps doing it and doing it….1 has 2 wonder if shes doing it for attention….

It Doesn’t matter what Miley did she is not of legal age to make these type of decisions!!!More Importantly to be in this Business you have to have “PARENTS” and If I’m not mistaken Miley Cyrus has TWO parents. THE media Needs to ask her parents if that was a sound business decision they made for their DAUGHTER!! NOt the rest of the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

She’d been out of control! She’s blaming the photographer when she could have said no. At first she said it looked good, but as soon as everyone says it’s bad she chanes her mind. She knew what she was doing and no one can make a 15 year old do something that she doesn’t want to do. Her parents were there and they didn’t stop her. I feel bad for Disney because I love it and a lot of my favorite celebrities are Disney. Miley is making all of them look bad!
This also isn’t the first time this has haven’t and she said she was going to learn from her mistakes and so far she hasn’t. I feel bad for her parents, but they are also to blame. I really feel bad for her little sister who has to grow up knowing that her sister is doing this. I hope her sister doesn’t grow up to think that this is alright.
U people are so rude,insensitive,mean,evil, and i hope none of u have a husband and/or child.And as to the photos they ARE NOT BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok she does not have a top on but the sheet is like a dress sort of.As to the one with her dada what the heck is so bad about that!Leave the starss alone they are under alot of pressure and are young and not experienced in the world and, to quote miley EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKES! I don’t think it’s that big. If Miley feels bad about it, she shouldve said it during the shoot. Because I know that if your having a photo shoot, her parents are there watching every move. And doesn’t the pictures show up on the computer after they flashed the photo? Her parents and herself wouldve saw them and said something if it was that bad. Because I hear things about her parent’s keeping her well grounded. and wow. I just don’t get her anymore.
I think she is doing all these things just to get more attention. She’s already rich, she has her own wing of her house, lets put it this way. She has everything. So why is she wanting more?

dont even go that way. wat miley did was ten times worse than vanessa. at least vanessa nvr inteded for her pics to come out. and wen they did, she handled lyk a mature adult and took full responsibility, not evn blaming the jack@ss who released the photos in the first place. miley took this picture topless knowing full well the world was going to see it and tat shes looked up 2 by many ppl. she even liked it, until every1 turned against her, then she turned around and blamed the photographer for HER mistake. and its not lyk its the first time bad pics of miley have come out, its actually her FOURTH time. so b4 u point fingers at nother celeb’s mistake, look at wat your stupid idol’s doing first.

Miley needs guidance and unfortunately her parents don’t seem to be doing the job very well at the moment. This photoshoot should never have gone ahead in the first place and letting a 15 year old girl take her top off is unacceptable. Miley should have also had the sense to say NO in the first place. These photos are going to be around forever and are probably done alot of damage with her reputation. Let’s hope she does not make any more stupid mistakes.
This photo is definetely not approiate for any one and you should think before you shoot photos because it is not beautiful art.

While I am with the outraged parents on this one, I think the girl has had enough public fogging already. Would you drag the lecture this long and this hard if it was your kid?? I haven’t the heart to keep crucifying my own and by now, I think we all need to step back and take her down from that cross. Billy Ray, stand up for her. A word from you and Miley’s mum would be good right now. Where’s the parental support when you need it most??
OMG! Miley needs to realize that there are millions of little girls and boys looking up to her and she just needs to STOP! She is only freakin 15 years old! she should NOT be posing like that. Sure that picture only shows her back, but what about all of her other pictures she took and uploaded to myspace?! she is at least half-naked in those pictures! come on miley! i used to look up to you, but now i’m just not so sure! you’re just turning into another britney spears!

i don’t think it’s enough of a big deal to be on the front cover of a newspaper, i think the media is trying to create a mountain out of a molehill
When i first saw these photos of Miley I was in a way shocked to see that she would do something like this merely a week after personal photos had leaked of her. But as I read the article accompaniying the photo and learnt that this was not entirley Mileys idea, my mind changed to see these photos as beautiful and artistic. These photos have totally been blown out of control. Most people are not beggining to see Miley and Annie’s artistic approach to these photos and instead they scrutinise Miley beacuse she is 15 and recoginised and look up to by many people around the world. The situation would be less scandolous if Miley was not on Hannah Montana and her audiences weren’t below the ages of 14. Media outlets such as Entertainment Tonight continue to make the situation worse by discussing them as “raunchy and to old for Miley” and then talk about Julianne Hough and her almost bear photo of her only being covered by the American Flag. Its unfortunate Miley has a career that every move she makes is judged, but Miley has done more good and been very successful then she has been bad and also being compared to the likes of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan don’t help the situation. Miley is a teenager and makes mistakes, she will contiune to make mistakes and learn from them just like every other person on this earth. Nobody is perfect whether you are in the show business spotlight or not, but she will always be making mistakes and bad moves but she will learn and become a stronger person from them.
it’s not just about showing her back its about the whole concept of her being naked underneath that sheet…..its just a little pervy…..

Miley is very successful and she has only had a couple of mistakes in the two years she has been well known. Its unfortunate that Miley has a career where her every move is judged and where she is being compared to the likes of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, but Miley is still only a human and a teenager. She still has a lot of choices and mistakes she is soon to face and so far she has come out of the mistakes she has made as a better person. Miley is the one leading her life and the choices and judgements she makes is her own doing, though they may not always be smart she its a learning experience for her. Not one person can deny that they have not made mistake similar to Miley’s or not even close but every one makes mistakes even if your in the show business spotlight or not.
