Singer Leona Lewis poses for the media during a press conference at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Tuesday in Sydney, Australia.
Leona is scheduled to perform along with several other acts for Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday celebration in London’s Hyde Park.
We7, an ad supported free music service, has announced the immediate availability of 250,000 songs from major record label Sony BMG’s back catalogue, including songs from Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, and Leona Lewis.

I don’t get all the fuss, there’s nothing original here, same old tried and true over produced radio friendly R&B, I thought she’d bring something new to the table, instead we get a voice and production that sounds like a ton of others, No thanks.

I hate to say this, but I think she looks like a dude.
Also, I have no idea why she is famous.
She looks beautiful here, her voice is amazing.
She needs a better dress. Color is not good and the style makes her look bigger. She has a great figure. She needs a stylist who knows how to accentuate that without being tacky.

I attended this event and Leona Lewis is absolutely gorgeous! I met her backstage and she is ten thousands times as beautiful as she is in these photos. She is such a nice person and has a very gifted voice. People who are claiming she isn’t pretty have no idea what they are talking about as looks don’t always mean everything in terms of a person.
I know for a FACT that she is pretty/nice/gorgeous/… i could use lots of words to describe Leona but what she does have is the voice of an angel. I look up to her for not only inspiration but also because of the lyrics that have been composed as they are heart warming.
She was barefoot because of the way she was performing, and the set up of the stage. Go and listen to her album and its not R&B. It is a mixture of R&B, Soul, Urban, Blues etc. Why is she famous, well her voice is just blissful, she can hit notes just like all those other artists out there. I have the footage to prove it, so stop dissing her and actually listen to some of her music.
Everyone is different, so stop picking on someone who you do not know, nor have met. She deserves to have happiness and a great career as she has worked hard for it. I support Leona 110% and wish to meet her again in the future. Oh and the dress she was wearing was incredible.. you had to be there to really know how nice it was.
