Scarlett Johansson - “Falling Down” Music Video
Here is the world premiere of Scarlett Johansson’s first music video to “Falling Down,” off her debut studio album, Anywhere I Lay My Head.
The cover song, which has David Bowie also on vocals, is originally on Tom Waits‘ album Big Time.
The album is set for release through Atco/Rhino Records on May 20. Watch the music video below!

I really didn’t like it at all. Maybe her other stuff will be better but this one does nothing for me.
very bizarre…i need to hear it again and again
Sounds like Sinead O’Conner to me, but less interesting. Much worse than I expected, and Bowie’s backup sounds pretty drab too.
I wasn’t expecting to like it, figured it would sound just like all the other pop crap out there, but it’s actually pretty interesting. I like this song. Better than the robotic, melodramatic stuff coming from 90% of the top selling artists. I’d take this over Britney, Christina, Rihanna (ella ella ella.. seriously?), Mariah, Jordin Sparks, and just about all the other plastic toys.
I just want to know who told her she can sing!!!!
This is just painful to watch/listen to and an insult to Tom Waits.
I didn’t like the song or the video. The two did not go together and it was an odd (not in a good way) voice.
CRAP!!
sounds to me like she’s trying to sound like Cat Power. Only her vocals aren’t nearly as angelic. This overrated in the looks and talent department chick has been riding the coattails of her fluke success with Lost In translation and her media whoring appearances trying to look like Marilyn Monroe, and is trying to manipulate a music career out of it? Pathetic. I wish she’d go away and stay away she’s all hollywood hype.
Oh my, this is lovely. I did not expect her to have a storyteller, deeper voice. I guess the fact that it is a Tom Waits cover should have foreshadowed it, but wow, nice surprise.
Someone mentioned Sinead O’Connor, which is funny because I think Scarlett sounds like an American Karen Finley - the tone in her voice.
There is a reason David Bowie appears. It’s good.
I like it… would like to hear more..
Hate it.
I actually liked the song and lyrics, but the voice arrangements…sorry, it’s really bad. The whole thing reminds me of Sinnead O’connor, but Sinead had a decent voice and Scarlett’s just not cut out for this one. But still curious about her album
This is a nagging , no pitch voice. She cannot sing. All this song is good for is make the dogs howl.
it sounds atrocious.hope the other songs are better
Oh my God! Scarlett sounds so bad. The woman cannot sing her way out of a wet paper bag. What is annoying is that they try to shove these bad actresses down our throats, with their bad acting and bad singing gee even Paris sounds better and she sucks, and what an awful video.
Wow, her voice sucks.
WOOWWW
THAT IS BAD
SHE SHOULD
STICK TO ACTING
She DOES NOT sound good
She DOES NOT sound good
Our Her voice is horrible, a music nothing to do
ate a paris hilton sings better, as an actress may even be good, but as a singer is awful! definitavamente
Wow, this is serious SUCKAGE. The sonic elements & production suck, her voice is flat and nothing special (very unexpressive), and the song itself is just kinda boring.
Congrats, Scarlett - you just veered away from a successful acting career to become a lame wannabe singer, which will dilute your image and public credibility in either career.
WHAT THE F*** !!! That girl doesn’t even know how to sing, why the hell did she make tis crap song???
Fail.
Terrible, I’ll stick with the original and I like some Tom Waits covers. The video is so unimaginative; what bored teen in the back of mom and dad’s car hasn’t “made” that video in their head a thousand times?
