Vanessa Hudgens Gets Identified June 24
Vanessa Hudgens has released new artwork for her upcoming album, Identified, which is due out in stores on Tuesday, June 24.
The official Identified album cover is below! The lyrics and her new single “Sneakernights” can be found here.
Vanessa, 19, has been busy in Utah filming High School Musical 3: Senior Year with her boyfriend Zac Efron and the rest of the cast.

The concept of this photoshoot is the same as Miley’s photo shoot from Vanity Fair . There is a silky sheet covering their front but Miley’s is taken from the back. So no big deal on these pictures. I think they are artisitc and they are both beautiful and talented.
I like the one where she is NOT smiling and looking all serious. I think it goes along better with the title of the album. I still want the smiling one incorporated somehow in the cover or back cover.

#64 For the record Vanessa’s first album was pretty well reviewed. USA Today gave it three stars out of four. And it went gold which is an accomplishment because outside of Radio Disney it got very little promotion.
Blender Magazine gave “Sneakernight” three stars out of four. So I don’t understand where these predictions of universal hatred are coming from. Critics did NOT trash her first album so I see no reason to think they will trash “Identified.” But then why let a little thing like the facts get in the way of hateful bile?

I know that a lot of the fans on this thread (including myself) count their ages in multiples of 15 and we are fans. narf, good for you in setting Heather straight!! When they had the first auditions for HSM, there were hundreds of girls vying for the role of Gabriella. The Disney people are no lightweights when it comes to seeing talent and star potential. I’m sure there were a number of reasons Vanessa landed that role, and the rest is history, as they say!
And tee, right on! There’s some music I don’t like……I just don’t listen to it, but I know there are people who love what I don’t. So what??? I don’t love the lyrics to Sneakernight either, but I love the beat and her voice sounds great. I hated the “Umbrella, ella, ella, ellla” thing too, but if you like a song, you get past it.

ZF has a picture up tonight from SLC from the weekend of Zac and Vanessa - it is from behind but they are walking downtown shopping with arms around each other. And as others have pointed out recently - they are walking with the same foot forward again - I had NEVER noticed that happens a lot with these two until someone mentioned it over the weekend but the more pictures I see of them — I think it might be true!!
Ok, I really like these pics more and more every time I see them. As pointed out earlier, they are done in an artsy way and Vanessa is beautiful no matter what way the picture is taken.

#98 Hilary Duff has also released more albums then then Vanessa or Ashley who have at this point only released one apiece. So there really isn’t a fair basis for comparison is there.
I would also point that Hilary Duff has also starred in her share of box office bombs over the last few years. I think this is in part due to an inability to break out of the “Lizzie McGuire” mode and also due to a penchant of picking bad scripts. Hopefully her upcoming film “War Inc” will be a turning point for her acting wise.
I want to make clear I’m in no WAY bashing Hilary Duff. I’m simply pointing out that not every thing she’s touched is gold.

The photo of Vanessa in People is the natural look that makes Vanessa so beautiful. By contrast, the overdone photo for the new album does not even look like her. There is some sort of marketing reason for such a departure from her genuine beauty. The new album photo does not capture any of the sparkle that typically shines through in Vanessa’s publicity shots.
