Vanessa Hudgens has released new artwork for her upcoming album, Identified, which is due out in stores on Tuesday, June 24.

Vanessa, 19, has been busy in Utah filming High School Musical 3: Senior Year with her boyfriend Zac Efron and the rest of the cast.

I heard her new song, is this really what music is about now? That song was really dumb. I mean, seriously. Vanessa, get a real job, because what you sing isn’t one. If she wrote those lyrics herself, it just makes it worse.

heather, you cannot judge vanessa by just high school musical.
You can’t really let see what you got with hsm. She got a lot of talent I bet. Zac isn’t the only one. Zac was chosen because of his chemistry with vanessa, so you haters must be thankful of vanessa. Without her zac probably wouldn’t even be in hsm.

It’s funny how so far everyone’s negative predictions for Vanessa have been shot down one by one over the past 8 months, yet people still repeat those predictions.
I guess they believe she will fail if they say it often enough. Little do they know, they are they only ones who look foolish when the dust settles at the end of the day.
If they put half the energy they spend tryying to bring Vanessa down into building up someone they actually like, just imagine where that person could be now.

#64 For the record Vanessa’s first album was pretty well reviewed. USA Today gave it three stars out of four. And it went gold which is an accomplishment because outside of Radio Disney it got very little promotion.
Blender Magazine gave “Sneakernight” three stars out of four. So I don’t understand where these predictions of universal hatred are coming from. Critics did NOT trash her first album so I see no reason to think they will trash “Identified.” But then why let a little thing like the facts get in the way of hateful bile?

She has naturally curly hair whom most people find attractive or in your case “dirty” and darker skin. How exactly does that make her dirty in anyway? So if she had lighter skin and straight hair she’d be clean?
Not only does she have a stunning face, but Lady Vanessa also has absolutely gorgeous hair. Beautiful album cover. But, of course, any picture of her is lovely.

i wrote a comment earlier in answer to numbers#23 and #64 but after I read it I realized that by answering them I would give them what they want five minutes of someones attention. I know that a lot of the fans on this thread (including myself) count their ages in multiples of 15 and we are fans. I’ve said before they make different music for different people if Vanessa’s music is not your choice go listen to whatever is. No need to drip your venom here.

narf, good for you in setting Heather straight!! When they had the first auditions for HSM, there were hundreds of girls vying for the role of Gabriella. The Disney people are no lightweights when it comes to seeing talent and star potential. I’m sure there were a number of reasons Vanessa landed that role, and the rest is history, as they say!
And tee, right on! There’s some music I don’t like……I just don’t listen to it, but I know there are people who love what I don’t. So what??? I don’t love the lyrics to Sneakernight either, but I love the beat and her voice sounds great. I hated the “Umbrella, ella, ella, ellla” thing too, but if you like a song, you get past it.
