OlderSelena Gomez is the New Miley Cyrus
Tween Disney star Selena Gomez is all smiles on the set of a People magazine photo shoot in Los Angeles late last week.
Selena, 15, has kids spellbound as Alex Russo in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place. In 2007, she appeared in the second-season episodes of Hannah Montana as Mikayla, a pop star who is a rival of Hannah Montana, played by Miley Cyrus. But could there be a real-life rivalry between Selena and Miley?
E! recently reported that Disney executives are so worried about Miley’s semi-topless Vanity Fair scandal that, more than ever, they want to make Selena an even bigger star.
“Selena sings and acts and is really young,” a source reports. “She is going to be the next Miley Cyrus. [Disney executives] really want this.”

i think selena gomez is better than miley cyrus i hope selena does the right things she is a very smart and nice girl i dont want her to change that
i think Selena is a **** , she s going out with nick behind mileys back. and that is not very nice at all. miley loves nick and everyone can tell that . but i dont think that selena is going to be that next miley because in just a couple years miley has become really big you dont here peoople cahnting selena’s name do you no. they look awfully the same though. so selena #**@ off and leave nick alone for miley.
I really think Selena will keep herself from getting carried away with the whole fame thing. She doesn’t seem the same as all those other celebrities who practically kill themselves to be pretty. Selena is just naturally pretty. Unlike Miley who had to show the world her naked body to be considered pretty. Sorry Miley, but your losing your fans to Selena.

I like Selena more than Miley. Of course I never really liked Miley in the first place. Don’t really know why I never liked her. Guess I just didn’t.

I guess some people don’t know what to do with themselves… And attack others because their live aren’t really going well at the time. The world should learn about kindly disagreeing or suggesting in a kind way. It would make the world such a nicer place.
Disney must be trying really hard to make her take Miley’s place to save themselves. I mean they must really feel that what Miley did will hurt them so much. What if Selena doesn’t want all that fame and just wants to be an actress because she likes it. I mean you never know. This is just what I think. I mean if someone tried to make me famous and I didn’t want to be famous then I would try to make sure I was only doing thing one at a time and not all at once like acting, singing, and a bunch of other stuff. That would be too much all at once.

I think that Selena should stay as Selena and Miley should stay as Miley. They are not rivals. they are really good friends from what i hear. i think it would be horrible if selena was the new miley.! :[

I love Selena! Like a lot of other people said, she’s a way better role model than miley. Miley is so fake, and i don’t see how people love her so much. But Selena is down-to-earth, and she’s as real as it gets.
So i hope for the best for Selena
