Tween Disney star Selena Gomez is all smiles on the set of a People magazine photo shoot in Los Angeles late last week.
Selena, 15, has kids spellbound as Alex Russo in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place. In 2007, she appeared in the second-season episodes of Hannah Montana as Mikayla, a pop star who is a rival of Hannah Montana, played by Miley Cyrus. But could there be a real-life rivalry between Selena and Miley?
E! recently reported that Disney executives are so worried about Miley’s semi-topless Vanity Fair scandal that, more than ever, they want to make Selena an even bigger star.
“Selena sings and acts and is really young,” a source reports. “She is going to be the next Miley Cyrus. [Disney executives] really want this.”

ugh. i don’t like Selena Gomez. i think she’s annoying. i like Miley better. well, i’ve liked Miley a little less since i heard about thise Vanity Fair pictures. but, i still like Miley better than Selena. Miley is funnier than Selena.

yeah i think we all know a lot of stars voices are digitally enhanced.. How would you know Selena wouldn’t be able to pull that off .. she hasn’t had the opportunity to sing live .. and if she did she’d probly blow Miley out of the water!

Selena is very funny and hopeful she will be a great role model but again she is very young and young people do make mistakes. They just have to larn from them but still she will be FAMOUS one day because she is a great actress and singer. On Miley, she is very funny and a lot of kids love her and yeah she keeps making mistakes but she is in showbiz and growing up to fast but hopefully soon she will be grounded again and will learn from her mistakes. Thats all I hope for these kids, that they don’t get too CRAZY but do what they do because they love it!
