Time magazine has come out with its 2008 list of the world’s 100 most influential people.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie top the list of people within Entertainment at No. 21!
The top ten are: 1. Dalai Lama 2. Vladimir Putin 3. Barack Obama 4. Hillary Clinton 5. John McCain 6. Hu Jintao 7. George W. Bush 8. Jacob Zuma 9. Anwar Ibrahim 10. Kevin Rudd.
Others include: Oprah Winfrey came in at 22, Mia Farrow at 24, Lorne Michaels at 58, Miley Cyrus at 59 and Robert Downey Jr. at 60.

Angelina Jolie’s pal Marianne Pearl to be chief bridesmaid?
Adding fuel to reports that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting set to tie the knot are rumours that the actress has finally chosen her chief bridesmaid.
Brangelina are said to be exchanging vows this summer and Jolie has picked up her close friend, French journalist Mariane Pearl, whom she played in the Hollywood biopic A Mighty Heart, to be her chief bridesmaid, reports the Daily Express.
Joile’s brother James Haven, who it was initially thought would be giving the bride away, has instead been asked to be Pitt’s best man.
When Pitt’s production company approached Mariane to make a film of her memoirs, the 32-year-old actress was cast as the widow and their friendship blossomed.
The wedding ceremony is said to be taking place aboard a 100 million pounds yacht owned by another good friend, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. (ANI)

I think they both deserved to be on the list and since they are a team it makes sense that they are together on the list. .

I can see why you think that but I really don’t like how they put them together. They are united as a family but have separate careers and causes. Of course sometimes they overlap. They do deserve to be there on their own. By putting them together the focus is on them as a super couple and not as indivudials with specific causes. Other couples on the list are supporting the same cause together.

In a sign that the city may begin to take center stage if all three candidates continue to debate who is angrier about the lack of recovery funding, New Orleans’ Mayor and Louisiana’s Governor have invited Barack Obama, Clinton and McCain to a YouTube New Orleans town hall debate in September, but none of the candidates have accepted yet.
On his way back to the airport Thursday and responding one more time to his “Rebuild it? Tear it down? You know, whatever it is,” McCain said he didn’t remember ever uttering the quote, and added that:
Our job is to create the environment that if they wish to come back to the Ninth Ward that they have the proper healthcare, the proper education and facilities, etcetera, etcetera.
To save a step, the Senator needs to know that nobody has to tear down the Ninth Ward. That was already done by a massive federal levee failure almost three years ago. And if McCain truly wants to make a statement in support of New Orleans recovery, Everlast and Ben Harper could probably use one more volunteer this weekend from the Straight Talk Express to Penn’s Dirty Hands Caravan.

Hopefully they’ll get the privacy they obviously can’t get here. People are whining about them deciding to have their baby outside the US. What does it matter? They want peace and hater or fan we all know that is impossible here in the states. it seems that its okay for anyone else to raise their children ‘their’ way. Will and Jada’s children have never seen a school and go everwhere with their parents. Tom Cruise’s children are educated through Scientology. The Hiltons allowed their daughter to drop out of school before completing highschool. The Cyrus’ have let Miley run wild and she’s also homeschooled and on tour. So please explain to me why the Jolie Pitts end up in the line of fire ALL the time? Is it because they remind us all of what we could or should be doing? Oprah built a group of homes in NOLA and hasn’t said two words since…in and out and everyone raved! Brad is trying to rebuild communities…has a home there and has remained vigilant with Angelina by his and all haters can do is spew crap. Tom Cruise and his wife were in Shreveport LA while katie shot a movie and never once took a ride up to NO to see how they could help. Instead they bought ice cream and flew in Chicago deep dish pizza for cast members who had JOBS and nobody said sh*t about it. No they only have hate for 2 people who are trying live positive and raise their family in peace.

Good Morning all. Have a great day and spport the MIR project. There are certainly problems throughout the world, from the conflict in the Sudan, natural disasters and poverty. BP and AJ are international superstars who have taken the time and money to help in various causes. Talk is cheap, but action goes a long way. Donating “quietly” and criticizing others efforts do not raise awareness and bring attention to worthy causes. It just gives an excuse for celebrities and average citizens who are not doing anything but being complacent and basking in their tabloid attention. Best wishes to AJ. You cannot keep a good woman down even with your lies and hate. Somehow the good and talented always rises to the top.

Gosh, I have been to St. Jean Cap Ferrat many times—it is so exlusive, but if you go there you will know why Jolie-Pitt are staying there. Usually the properties are completely hidden by thick trees and high walls/gates, there is no way any papps or intruders can get in. I’m surprised they got that photo of Angie in the villa. It’s blurly since that must have been a really long range camera! If you get to go into one of the villas there is nothing like it. There is a Rothschild villa with a fantastic botanical garden which is open to the public so I recommend a visit to get the idea. Also there is a beautiful faux-ancient Greek villa at the tip of the Cap by the water, called Villa Kerylos which is also open to the public.
Funny, quit a while ago I was ‘flying’ over the earth with my daughter on Google Earth (you can tilt the view just right and run your mouse, then you do feel like flying! we go see the Pyramids etc–it’s fun) and we were near the Riviera. The Google Earth showed “Paul Allen’s Villa” in their bookmark (!) so we clicked it and you can even see the beautiful garden LOL! If I have time I will do it again

I dont think Will Farrell was being silly, he talked about what the campaign is about and talked about who Aung San Suu Kyi is, but he was being Will Farrel, and injected some humor in the process.
On the other hand, Jennifer was acting like Rachel Green, is she really like that in real life? She did not come across as being serious and natural. And really showed that she doesnt know anything what is happenning in Burma!

I meant to say this yesterday and forgot, but now that I see this Burma thing it reminds me - according to the new Star mag X is building an eco-friendly home in Malibu. Gee…wonder why she’s suddenly so interested in green building when she positively HATED Brad’s interests in architecture and the ecology. But…not to worry J-P Fans. If there is a wedding, you can bet your bottom dollar that Holly Goline will be Angelina’s maid of honor (as Angelina was for Holly), Brad’s brother will be his best man, James Haven will give his sister away, Jon Voight will not be in attendance, and the wedding will not take place on anyone’s zillion-dollar yacht.
