Miley Cyrus is Grounded
Amidst the recent scandal surrounding Miley Cyrus‘ Vanity Fair photos, the Disney star has been pulled from her first scheduled public appearance.
Miley Ray Cyrus, 15, was supposed to appear at a media party/red carpet event on Friday in Orlando along with other Disney stars. The Disney Channel Games, a charity competition, plan to go ahead without the Hannah Montana star.
Disney had no further comment without regard to Miley’s withdrawal.

She is 15 yrs. old. It’s her FATHER’S fault!!! He is using her popularity to boost his failing career. He posed for photos with her in positions that a father and teenage daughter should not be in also. Changing her name legally to her nickname as it is now her BRAND and makes them millions is another bad decision they have made. She has been overworked by her FATHER and this will give her a much needed rest. A 15 year old should not always be drinking Red Bull and Starbucks coffee. Miley seems hipped up all the time. GIVE THE KID A BREAK!!!! Good for Disney. Get out out of the spotlight and away from the paps and off of the internet for a while.
I think this is totally unfair! Just because of some pictures, they are not allowing her to be in the DC games. First off, she was hired by annie whatever and she did not get to choose how to pose, therefore i believe the photographer is at fault.Miley should not be deprived of furthering her career, it is not fair!
Miley and her people made the wrong call. Actually, it was just Miley who made the wrong call. Simply put, what is a 15 year old doing posing like that? Wait until you are legally an adult at least. Like all the other actresses are supposed to do according to the laws of our country. What is worse in this case is that Miley represented untainted youth and appeared very tainted indeed. Unforgivable.
Thats really over the top. She hasnt been pulled from disney channel, just the dc games. The hm movie is still on.
Poor Miley! I mean, I wasn’t really offended by the photos in Vanity Fair, but I can see how certain people might be concerned by them — especially since she is considered to be a role model for so many young fans.
In truth, I’ve seen alot worse behavior on the bus than the poses that Miley struck for this photoshoot!

Well, I don’t care for Miley, so it doesn’t matter to me. I was disappointed in her actions given her age and role-model status, though.
I wonder if Disney is being tougher on her because of flack they got over being so soft on Vanessa, who was also 15 in her photos.

Well……….First off, Miley and her family should have taken a good, hard look at the magazine she was being featured in. Vanity Fair is known for it provocative interviews/pics. Right there, I would have had serious reservations as a parent. Then to leave the set and hope Grandma and a teacher could control such a strong minded photographer was rediculous.
But, that being said, the two “minders” left behind should have gotten right on the cell phone and called mom or dad and said, “Is it ok for Miley to be photographed with a just a sheet over her front?” NO!
Then, there is Miley herself. OK…she is 15, I get it! I teach 5th graders and you can bet THEY don’t think that it was OK to be photographed in a sheet, for goodness sake! WHERE was her head!?
Disney is letting this little girl and her family know the time has come to start making some smart decisions! This is no time to put yourself in the class of some of the Hollywood diva’s…!! Take some time to grow up and be a role model. This was just too much!

Miley is showing just how immature she is by not taking any responsibility for her actions. It’s a photographer’s job to get beautiful and sensational photos. Leibovitz did her job. But it’s everyone’s job to set their own boundaries.
Miley can blame VF and her stupid fans who don’t want to admit that Miley is a famewh oring tramp can blame VF but the reality is that she put racy photos of herself on the internet — all by herself with no help from VF!!!
Maybe if Disney starts cracking down on her, she’ll get it. Obviously her parents don’t, just like Paris Hilton’s parents, and Lindsay Lohan’s parents, always making excuses and blaming others.
