Orlando Bloom throws on his leather jacket and mounts a custom motorcycle before zooming down a street in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday.
Orly, 31, was spotted picking and choosing between a number of different custom motorcycles at Sydney’s bike store Deus Ex Machina.
Mr. Bloom is in town with his main squeeze, Australian ‘Victoria’s Secret’ angel Miranda Kerr.

ellen, I totally agree with your last statement. I find it sad that I do agree with it as it is not what I thought of him to be. Though I have no idea what he is really like, what he appeared to be like is what I liked. I believed what he said in interviews that I have read.

I wonder when he changed his mind. I guess it comes down to the fact that I don’t believe what he says. I probably never should have. I guess that I wanted too. Over the last 6-12 months my opinion of him has changed considerably. Oh well.
So did mine. I actually believed that he is one of these young hollywood actors who has lots of class and will remain a real artist. All in all he;s after a good drama school.
I don;t like when people say ‘I love my private life’ and then sit in Los Angeles for about half a year. I don’t say being in LA is wrong but talking about private life is just silly in that case. I respect people saying ‘I love to party, I want to enjoy my life and take as much as I can’ it’s their life, they may not be the best actors but they are honest at least.
Probably he got scared after doing a play and the turth is that the pressure is much bigger than the biggest blockbuster because usually people judging an actor on stage know what they are talking about.
I know that none of us knows what’s going on but this is truth that he has changed so much at least his attitude towards some fields of life. Sometimes I think that he must be really unhappy doing something he always tried to skip. Maybe he doesn’t care anymore. Or maybe it was just talking but if so, it makes me laugh that Orlando is talking about living green, being a good, decent person and wants people to treat him seriously in what he talks about and at the same time does exactly on the contrary to what he said. How can one treat him seriously?

Yeah, that quote-lie-from him about her. That’s when the red warning lights went off for me. Ironically enough, his flustered reaction to that question was probably one of the few times we’ve ever seen honesty from him.
I’d felt something was going on from the condo pictures, but naively chose to believe their excuses up until that interview.

Alas, he doesn’t even drive an eco-friendly car. The eco-movement they both preach about (using the same b-s) is laughable. I ask this, how can you be all about the environment and nutrition (her) and then light up a smoke?
I generally find it a little funny when celebs talk about environment and what one should do to live green.
Of course I don’t think it’s possible to stop using planes and such but talking about it won’t help that much. Nobody cares what celebs are talking about. It’s more about actions. I mean when I see Leonardo DiCaprio riding his bike as much as he can it speaks more for me than him talking about it. When I see a celeb not using the plastic carrybag but the material/paper one that’s more appealing. At least for me.
Natalie Portman does much for the environment but she doesn’t talk about it all the time.
One thing people have to realize is hollywood is full of illusion and other things that are more dangerous. Even the best fall for it and I think he has fallen under that same spell I pray he goes and see’s his family I think thats what he needs to to.A good chewing out would do him some good he needs his family right now I do agree that he is a little lost. Love covers a multitude of sin and I think that is what he needs from them to get back on track . Ihope this red circle keeps him busy and from what I hear del toro wants the original cast from lord of the rings. I pray that works out for him and that this pr relationship is dead or dying soon.

I am so over celebs talking about the environment. In fact, I’m pretty tired of the whole “go green” campaign. (Wait before throwing rotten fruit at me - lol!) It seems to me to just be the cause-du-jour, just like PETA was a few years ago. Just changing a few things about how a person comsumes isnt enough. The planet just might be beyond recovery as far as simple human interaction is concerned. Its probably just a little too late for that. Societies need drastic change in just about everything they do, and how they livie their lives, and being honest, I just cant see that happening. I’d rather that “the haves” focus their efforts on helping “the have nots” and at least help people live better lives. Theres no guarantee that the planet is fixable, but the quality of peoples lives could be. Thats me just being optimistic again though - dont mind me hehe.
“The Hobbit” does not have Legolas in it - at least the book doesn’t and oh, silly me, but I expect the movie to be honest to the original.

I can’t stand celebs telling US to do things-preaching at us, and then themselves not practising what they preach, that angers me, but the day I listen to what I “should be doing” from a celeb is the day I prob shoot myself lol
@ 130 - Ya….celebs arent exactly the role models for “everything in moderation” now are they? I cant really sit in judgement too harshly though of their own consumption of things. I live in a economic first world country and even me, on my rather modest income, live better than 80% of the rest of the worlds population. I give to charities, etc, but well, I still live rather comfortably, and its not really charity if I havent sacrificed too much now is it?

I just wanted to know- me being an ex Orlando fan very recently because of him playing his fandom for a fool over MANY things…
How do you feel about Orlando lying to you all about pulling out of “AN EDUCATION”? He knowingly lied saying he pulled out due to schedualing issues with THE RED CIRCLE, he also used a fan to spread this lie- LORI V. In my opinion that in itself is just so wrong.
Why did he give ANY reason, i would rather he wouldve said nothing than lie to us, and using a fan to spread that lie to me -esp if I was Lori V herself would be unforgivable.
It just makes you wonder what else this guy lies through his teeth about- you know, I know he is a human being, and I NEVER put him on a pedestal, BUT his lying- for me is getting a bit much now and it seems to be constant, and before some say “He doesnt owe us anything”.. true so why say anything about why he didnt do AE? He mustve know that we would find out he lied?
This guy doesnt give 2 hoots about his fandom that much is clear, If it wasnt for his fandom who actually made him famous (through the internet as he was virtually unknown even after LOTR’s came out- everyone knew Legolas and everyone fancied Legolas the chracter BUT nobody knew what Orlando Bloom looked like until he became an internet phenomenon) Nobody is expecting his undying gratitude, but being honest with his fans would be one good thing to be.
I am so so sad that he has become what he has lately, and I dont think it is all to do with Ms Kerr either. He seems to have radically changed on the last 6 months, and I dont know why. I would have loved to have still been in the fandom and supported him, but I seriously cant, not that he will care i know- but I can’t support a man who has knowingly lied to us, i really can’t, esp as there was no need to give is ANY explination.

I totally agree. It as though the feel they have to make some kind of effort to counter the party wasteful lifestyle most of them live. You are so right. Has Aid’s been cured, no, but where have all the red ribbons gone? Is breast cancer cured? where are all the pink ribbons?
I hate it that they now use UNICEF as good PR for themselves, instead of actually making a sacrifice to be involved. I know the pictures put out highlight the problems. But how many of then do you think fly on donated flights, as Audrey Hepburn did when she worked for them. How many go and stay for weeks on end, as she did? How many go into very dangerous zones, as she did when she was working in Somlia?
When they stop using private jets, and flying all over the place just to vacation, and really show that they are making a difference then I might listen. But I agree it isn’t chic to help out at a homeless shelter, or to donate money to schools or libraries for computers and books. Schools and libraries are one of the places that the have nots have access to things they can’t afford to have at home. And most of them are stretched to their limits.
can i ask anybody thats making a big stink about orlando is he drinking is he doing drugs is he out partying every night. what is your guys problem. hes living a normal life. everyday celebs are cursing at the press doing stupid immature things. and nobody talks about them here. and you guys are judging an actor whos never in the media spotlight doing anything wrong but only living his life. hes a human being for crying out loud. people need to just stop for a minute and stop giving up on people. its seems to me if a guy isnt working on a movie every month you people start bashing the poor guy on everything he does. im not judging you people who tare this guy apart. but start thinking more positivly about a person.

While it is true that Legolas doesn’t appear in the Hobbit, I don’t think it would be too far of a stretch for him to show up. There are many things that Tolkien left out and only implied. Legolas is the Prince of Mirkwood. his father is Thranduil who does play a fairly large part in the Hobbit, so I could see how he could be easily inserted in without messing up the plot.
The second movie is about the years between the Hobbit and LOTR. Aragorn is out rangering and visiting Rohan, and Gondor. It seems from the books that he and Legolas may have known each other, so who is to say that Legolas wasn’t doing some traveling with him. I wouldn’t mind that at all.
Should have said, the only thing is he looks older, so they may have to do some makeup magic. The one thing they can’t fix though is that look of innocence in his eyes that he had in LOTR. That is gone, replaced by a cynical and jaded look. Maybe he can recapture it if he goes back to where he started and finds that same joy he seemed to have then.

Orlando is a PR creation. He has NEVER been a great actor who aspired to great roles. He (and his people) know that he is not made of that kind of stuff. He was created just like Zach Efron and other before and after to appeal to certain fans. Orlando (and his people) know that appeal has a shelf life. IMHO that shelf life has expired. Orlando (and his people) have created an image through the years that is untrue. Orlando has followed the script as best he could, but it falls flat eventually. He talks about things that he really doesn’t know that much about including the environment. Orlando has tried to be politically correct whether he really knows about the issues or not. Let’s be real - how many times has he mentioned “just changing your lightbulbs”? He (and his people) have done the PR-speak for years. The most recent is this notion that he quit one film because he was so busy. Busy doing what? People are smarter than that nowadays and the internet can have pictures daily about celebrities’ lives. His fandom should realize that he can’t keep up the farce forever.
It sounds like you try and do your part. Most of us have to work to survive, and don’t have the time to actually go places and do things. It is hard enough to have enough time and money to keep families fed. When I was growing up we used to always spend Thanksgiving day at a shelter, and then we would come home to the meal, Mom had mostly cooked the day before. The same during Christmas. Instead of buying for our parents and siblings we bought for the Angel tree project, and then as a family we delivered the gifts. Charity is something that is taught, and sometimes between all of the sports and activties kids are involved in parents forget that part. I am glad mine didn’t. We were blessed with more than enough, and were taught to give back what we could.
if your so anti orlando than why do you even bother finding old news about orlando and posting your critique. go judge the ones that drink and party and get pregnant.
How do u know that Orlando doesnt drink and party, you forget that this man drinks and parties so much that he crashes his car and his passenger gets a fractured neck and he walks away from the scene before the evol paps telling him to return to the scene.. yeah he is just a sweetie!!
Maybe you have not seen the extended version of Kingdom of Heaven. Orlando is Balian. I believe that he does have talent and I hope he has future roles that allow him to showcase that. I don’t know why An Education fell through. I was really disappointed about that as I thought it was a great opportunity to up his credibility.

I have always wondered exactly what he did to her that night. I mean the way people dance in clubs, it had to be pretty bad to be make her ex boy-friend pissed. I don’t think a hand on the ass or even one on her boobs would have done it. I think hands got under some clothes. I would love to know what was deemed inappropriate at a Hollywood Club, it had to be something really kinky.
for god sake leave the man live his life he isn’t doing you any harm i think he is a good person but news flash actors sell them selfs promoting movies they are not going to tell you their secrets or the truth about their lives come on they try to appear to the public the best way possible why should orlando be any different i don’t get it
