Yeah im thinking about leaving here on jj for awhile to. This event really dissapoints. It just dosent make sense anymore, if this is the kind of life and woman that satisfies him then so be it I guess, it wont make me like Kerr, I already know what type of person she is and I thought never in a million years Orlando would be with a person like this never, at of all the woman he has been linked to since the beggining of his career this relationship is the worst.

Maybe this time in his life will change they are both 2 different poeple who want different thing in life (now that Miranda has her DJ deal and her book coming out she wants fame and money but orlando already acheived that) maybe when he goes to shoot TRC he would change. I always thought this time in his life is just like Johnny’s time when he was in his early 30’s, when he used to date Kate moss, they dated for a few years but nothing serious, then after braeking up with Kate johnny found Vanessa look where he is at now 10 years of a real relationship.

I read that when poeple date and start a new relationship they are in a stage called the honeymoon stage which is where the couple calls eachother all the time kiss, hug the peroson in their eyes can do nothing wrong, etc, but after about a year or two that attraction goes away becuase their is no good communitcation envolve just physical appeal which dosent make for a long lasting romance.

I just think he will change once and for all but after this it might be a while, we might have to be stuck with her for some more time, imo I cant even stand to look at her face. This could be publcity for her book thats coming out this summer.

Going ’round in circles trying to explain the fact that they are still together after all of the claims from “insiders”. Can you not understand that he apparently, really likes the girl? It’s not a “showmance”, and it may not be love, but they are certainly dating. And no, neither one of them needs to give a rat’s azz about how a few disgruntled “fans” feel. He is entitled to date whomever he pleases, and evidently he pleases to date her. Get over it. If you hate the fact that they are together so much, ignore them.
And for those who want him to get back to work instead of dating her, what makes you think that he can’t do both? Being involved in a serious relationship with Kate for nearly four years didn’t stop him from working, and neither will this relationship. Circumstances have delayed his work, not Miranda. He’s a big boy (if the rumours are true) and he can take care of himself.
As for her dress, I think that she looks great. Very sexy. Much classier than Kate’s pitiful attempt to look sexy when she was showing off her tiny little breasts in that red monstrosity. Miranda could have used a bit of double sided tape for the dancing, since she had a slight wardrobe malfunction, but otherwise it is a very elegant dress. I know the prudes will hate it, but I don’t. Orlando appeared pleased with it as well.
And people keep talking about how they wish his family would step in. How do you know that his family doesn’t approve of her? Wishful thinking on your parts is all.

Yeah it’s kinda funny how when his career fisrt took off he seemed to be a guy with a true sense of self, he wasnt in it for the money or fame and he really loved his job and didnt want to become a big headed celebrity he wanted to be an actor. He came a long way since then, a real long way, he went from hard working and truthful actor, to pap set ups and tabloid bs in a few years. Deep down inside of me I still have a shred of hope for him that he will get oever this mess. I just cant see this girl be his one and only maybe one and only right now but not forever.

For KB it’s funny she is the one who is the actor with a decint career and a none useing boyfriend, she turns out to be the suttle one. She is the one with diginity and self repsect. Who would ever think she would be the one with all the succese. Maybe hollywood did get to his head I mean he did go out parting everysince he and kate broke up in late 2006 until september of 2007. He isnt the man we first saw in the good early days now as I just hate to say it he seems to be a total seel out.

I’m sorta done hoping/whishing/believing that it was all fake. I”m starting to think that is what I wanted to think. He looks pretty smitten in those pictures, and I happen to have the belief that people tend to go for/love/date people they look up to or in some aspect want to be like. I also find that Miranda’s character (or lack of it) is pathetic and words come to mind that this thread will blog out so I wont even bother. Anyway…..that has been/is MY opinion, trash it if you like but I find it has proven to me to have been right 99% of the time and so I am sticking with it.

Oh I aint proud of kate, dont worry. I’m no fan of hers and am well aware of her posing with her BF etc etc, the point I was trying to make was that at least besides that, she is also giving people other thing to talk about- like say her movies.

yeah but from I gatherd was that johnny was dating cheap classless models and not actually becoming one. Honestly, (I used to avoid saying this, however I could care less these days) some people need to stop comparing the two. Its insulting to johnny who does seem to take his proffesion and relationship seriously, and I think its clear that OB doesnt give a sh!t, he sure as heck didnt think his advice was worth following -cause that he aint done.

I am taking a nice long break from this thread and the fandom etc etc. The reason I used to like him was that I liked his movies, and I liked his “personality” (or at least what was sold)
His actions over the course of the year have made it quite clear to me that he either doesnt have one or it sucks. I dont like his personality, not JUST for dating someone like Miranda, but call it more the final drop if you like. Besides not liking him anymore, its not like he’s made any movies lately, so I can hardly use that as an excuse for being a fan as well. I’m just running out of reason to like the guy, thats all.

I’m sorry if I have offended any people here who are still fans, I was just stating my observations, interpretations and opinions.

You don’t think that Orlando takes his profession seriously? Why then, did he take a smaller role on the stage to hone his craft? Why is he stepping away from epic, period pieces? Why did he take a break to collect himself before going back in front of the cameras?
And you need to stop idolizing Johnny. He isn’t a God, and when he was around Orlando’s age, he was quite a hellraiser. he is much older than Orlando, with a couple of kids. That settled him down when nothing else would. Johnny has said before that he is the last person to be giving out advice. Johnny had been arrested a couple of times before he was Orlando’s age.
As for his personality, well I’m going to go with the opinions of people who have actually worked with him, and not base my opinion on the assuptions made by people on the net. Everyone, and I mean everyone, says that he is a great guy. Yes, Miranda had a big mouth at first, but that’s all we know. We can assume that she cheated on Jay, but we don’t know that as a fact. For all we know, Miranda may be a wonderful person and that is why they are still together.
Leave the fandom if you want, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. If you don’t leave now, you will leave eventually. Maybe when Orlando combs his hair the wrong way, and you are so disappointed in him you just have to leave. You thought he was better than to part his hair on the left. Celebrities aren’t perfect. They are human. I just happen to like the humanity in Orlando. As someone said above, he looks happy. He’s smiling. I think that’s great. And I don’t care who made him smile like that, as long as they keep doing it.

@ 1891 he looks happy at the event? IN what event? I have never believed that looking sat/tired means that he was unhappy in his private life but he doesnt’ look really happy in the event. He is smiling with Kevin Spacey and I think amused by something Miranda said as he looks like he’s going to laugh at something, and that’s all. He doesn’t look particularily happy.

I do agree that the insider situation has gone nuts but in the beginning some of the original friends/ex friends were real.
