The following is my true opinion.
I can honestly, say I don’t think this HSM 3 is going to be as big success, as HSM 1 and HSM 2. I hope i’m wrong, I pray that i’m wrong, but you guys wait and see this one is not going to be that great, I can just feel it. I love Zanessa. And yes there is more people to the movie. But honestly, they really are just passangers. Zac and Vanessa are the one’s that move the movie, they are the main cast. If you are so worried about the rest of the cast. Well so sad on you. They are just back up members, they are not main. Just Jared doesn’t have to ask you Ashley fans if he can post this post. He can post what he want’s, when he wants. So if he wants to report on Zanessa all day. then that’s what he will do. If you guys hate Just Jared so much why come and post here everyday. Why not just go find another website. Because I think deep deep down inside, you really don’t care what he posts, you just like to come. Just like i know deep deep downside you all care for Vanessa Hudgens, and Zac and the rest of the cast. Otherwise, why would you spend endless hours coming to a website and posting comments about them if you really didn’t care. So in short word go ZANESSA, can’t wait till Vanessa’s New CD is out. I hear there is some techno and I love techno music. So for hater’s of HSM. (not me, i don’t hate it I just believe that this one will not be as good as the other’s that’s all i’m saying) don’t post if you don’t like. who cares, will disney care. NO. Will Vanessa care. No, will Ashley care. NO. will the fans care NO. So in the end who will care. No one, just you and maybe 10 percent of people who post on this website. I wonder if Zac and Vanessa tire of people constantly referring to them as Zanessa. It seems like they have lost their own idenity to the crazy disney fans.

Wonder if they will know their own names when they actually do split-up, which is bound to happen. She semms way to wild and untamed for him which I think we will all see when she breaks free of the mouse.

Just some facts we know so far:

HSM1:

- HSM 1 and its cast were nominated for 26 awards and won 8 of them including 2 Primetime Emmys and many TCAs. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens won an award for their on-screen chemistry before their relationship was official and before their first on-screen kiss happened.
- The movie was the most popular Disney Channel Original Movie ever produced: 7.7 million viewers watched it in its premiere broadcast in the US while in the UK, it received 789,000 viewers for its premiere (and 1.2 million viewers overall during the first week).
- It was the No. 1 movie of the month against all basic cable networks.
- More than 170 million viewers worldwide watched the original movie.
- The DVD of the movie created a sales record when 1.2 million copies were sold in its first six days, making it the fastest-selling television movie of all time.
- The film’s soundtrack was the best-selling album in the United States for 2006.
- The movie was followed by a stage show and an ice tour as well.
- In June 2006, Disney Press published High School Musical: the Junior Novel, the novelization of the successful film. This novel hit number one on the New York Times best-selling list and remained on the list for sixteen weeks; the novel has sold more than 4.5 million copies.
- Even a video game was released.

HSM2:

- The premiere brought in a total of 17.3 million viewers in the United States making it, at the time, the highest-rated basic-cable broadcast in US history.
- Ratings for the second showing of the movie fell to 8.4 million, and the third showing fell to 7.4 million, totaling the premiere weekend to 33.04 million viewers.
- The December 17-24 issue of TV Guide Magazine reported that over 88 million people worldwide have seen the film.
- In the United Kingdom, the movie became Disney Channel UK’s most viewed program ever, totalling 1.2 million viewers in its first showing.
- The premiere brought in a total of 17.5 million viewers in Asia -almost 9 million viewers in the Philippines alone - making it the highest rated international cable movie broadcasted in Asian history. (Note: Vanessa Hudgens is a half-Philippina.)
- In Latin America, the premiere of High School Musical 2 was be seen by 3.3 million viewers in the north region. The film was the most-watched in this schedule, among all cable channels, and produced the highest rating of the channel.
- The Guardian revealed that, as of February 2008, over 179 Million people have seen the film.
- High School Musical 2 won the Choice TV Movie category at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards. It also won a special Teen Choice Award for its record breaking premiere numbers. High School Musical 2 won the “So Hot Right Now” award at the Nickelodeon Australian Kids’ Choice Awards 2007. The movie was nominated for 4 awards.
- The movie was followed by a release of the DVD, the novel and a magazine. Popstar also released an issue featuring “Zanessa”. (There are no real statistics available at this point.)
- Debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, Amazon.com, and iTunes Store, the HSM2 soundtrack sold 615,000 copies in its initial week of release. The album also shipped double platinum (2,000,000) copies in the US in its first week of release. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 charts at #1 and remained at #1 for four consecutive weeks. In its twelfth week on the charts, the album is ranked #11. As of December 2007 the album has shipped 3 million copies in the US and more than 5 million worldwide. The album has sold 5,353,500+ million copies in less than 5 months.
- The movie was followed by an ice tour but no original actors or actresses were part of it.
- Disney Theme Parks are currently, as of 2008, doing live shows based on High School Musical 2.
- Music Theatre International announced that a stage version of HSM 2 is being made available to high schools and other non-professional theatre groups in fall of 2008.
