OlderBrad & Angelina Take The Edge Off
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (in Vera Wang) take three of their four children, Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, for a stroll on a very rocky beach near Bono’s home in the South of France on Sunday.
Accompanying the Jolie-Pitts on the beach was David Howell Evans, aka The Edge, who is the guitarist, keyboardist, and main backing vocalist for the Irish rock band U2. Brad was also seen helping Angie sit down for a rest by rocks with Zahara while Brad and The Edge took the rest of the kids to play by the water’s edge.
And look, Pax is wearing the “Space Invaders” InkyDinkTees t-shirt! It’s the same one Maddox wore last summer.
Earlier in the day, the Jolie-Pitts were seen enjoying breakfast on the terrace of their villa. Brad took off his shirt to work on his tan! Ohlala!
Angie was seen carrying daughter Shiloh, who turns 2 later this month. The couple’s fifth (and maybe sixth) child is due this summer.

Of course it won’t happen; it didn’t happen on Friday, much to my chagrin.
But Elizabeth kept it harnessed when Paltrow dared to say that she hated being pregnant. Of course, she added that she would do it again, if only to have another cherub come into her life.
Now isn’t that an awww? Or maybe it’s an ewww!

Love the photos of BAMPZ on the beach with friends.
Looking at these photos, I can’t help but think of how absolutely HORRIBLE US weakly were when they made up the story about:
(a) Pax being BIG trouble and
(b) Maddox not caring about anyone.
Making up stories about Brad and Angelina are one thing, making up nasty stories about Pax and Maddox is simply unacceptable. US weakly will NEVER see a cent of my money.

Just did a quick scroll through the comments. I’m hugely surprised that Angelina has not been criticised for walking on an uneven rock beach where she is much more likely to trip and fall and sprain her ankle or worse. But she can’t sit in an aeroplane or helicopter. Fancy that!!!

Team Lara Croft, great comments about Blacks. Also your observations about Asian preference for light skin is also spot on.
But I genuinely think that the Asia preference for fair skin is NOT the result of internalising white imperialist values. I think the Asian preference for fair skin is the result of
(a) a poor, agragrian society, whereby only the rich (and/or educated) could actually afford to stay out of the sun. Everyone else had to do field work which of course darken their skin. So fair, soft skin was associated with privilege and wealth and possibly education. Dark skin was associated with menial labour.
(b) Because men and women who labour under the hot sun age more quickly due to sun damage, they look older faster and therefore less attractive.
You might want to note that in agrarian societies like China, India and elsewhere, it was also considered beautiful to be plump. Plumpness is again associated with wealth, privilege and not needing to perform physical labour. Indeed a fat chinese man was seen to have “prosperity”. Indian movie stars a generation ago were not exactly svelte. I can still remember my grandmother lamenting my lack of chubbiness.

I think she was nekkid in the picture where Angie’s holding her and her hair is wet. It looks like she’d been swimming to me. I figure she’s just at that stage where little kids are forever taking off their clothes. Someone I work with has a son a few months older than Shiloh and last week she was saying that she was having trouble with the daycare because the kid kept undressing himself and they were spending most of the day running after him trying to put his clothes back on. He does it at home, too, and she’s forever putting his pants back on him, but let’s him keep his shirt off…cuz he thinks he’s being a big guy like daddy! Now she has to make her husband wear a shirt all the time so the kid will see that daddy’s fully dressed and he should be, too.

ITA. Not that there’s anything wrong about being on a mexican beach or anything but really, the combination of history, beauty, culture, food, wine, in the Riviera makes its a wonderful place for a holiday or get a holiday home.

They look so happy and content as a family… someone in another thread said this is what most people strive for and I couldn’t agree more. The JPs have it in spades.
The dress. On anyone else that dress would be a rag…. but Angie gives it class. Love, love, love the pic where Angie has the dress pulled up with one hand with Brad holding that arm and in the other arm she has Zee.
