To me, both Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are like a breath of fresh air. There is a sweetness about them that you just don’t see in young couples these days. And the fact that they keep their relationship “behind the scenes” makes them even more endearing.

As the mother of a daughter, I truly don’t understand why people come on Vanessa Hudgens’ postings and spend an inordinate amount of time and energy bringing up a mistake this young woman made three years ago. A mistake she hasn’t repeated. Nor do I understand why these same people attempt to degrade Vanessa and her family and her relationship with Zac Efron. What is the point? If constantly bashing someone makes you happy, you desperately need psychological counseling.

Is it because when you see goodness and beauty in the world it makes you angry? This beautiful young woman made a mistake when she was sixteen. A mistake the entire world learned about through the Internet. She felt remorse for what she did and she has not repeated the same mistake again and again and again as some young stars are constantly doing. Vanessa is a lovely and talented young woman trying to make it in the entertainment business and keep her romantic relationship low key.

Kudos to both Zac and Vanessa for keeping their private life private. That in itself tells me the relationship means something to them. Anyone with an ounce of romance in his/her soul would know that.

well said, Malia, I started reading and at first the comments were fine Then people started trying to put Vanessa down for various reasons (usally the same old rehashed stuff) Then I read the one about her mother and father. Yes her father is a fireman , I”m sure if your house were on fire you wouldn”t think your too good to call the fire department And if her mother was a housekeeper, there is no shame in that. It;s good honest work What they are, is a typical american family. If you think that something to be ashamed of, shame on you.

First off, I’d like to point out family background and class has no status when it comes to “things in common” in a relationship. Two people can have extremely different backgrounds, yet when it comes to a relationship level, they can have alot in common. What he/she likes in relationships, what makes both of them happy, what makes each other smile… all that stuff. So background and all that isn’t really that important…

2nd, this is for Mindy… I don’t know you obviously, but according to your writing… you seem very arrogant and w/out the ability to be sensitive. I understand that you may be a fan, but for Pete’s sakes… Ugly and unsophisticated because of their class… those words (in your world it may be the case) are just so insensitive. This kind of bluntness, I’m afraid will cause you to have a hard time dealing with all sorts of people… might cause some problems in your relationships in the future as well. So please, before posting.. think about things and be careful who you might offend.

#143 You know I would have thought since we were in the twenty-first century now we would have gotten over this kind of elitism. I know you meant that as a compliment but what does what one does for a living have to do with how “sophisticated” they are? Zac’s dad *for example*is an engineer so I guess that means he’s more “sophisticated” then Vanessa’s dad the fireman? For all we know Vanessa’s dad may be the proud owner of three leatherbound volumes of the work of Shakespeare, while Zac’s dad may “art” is a Three Stooges festival (Not that there’s anything wrong with that, the Stooges ROCK!).

Anyway there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with coming from a blue-collar background and the suggestion that was something that Vanessa has sophistication in spite of that is in my opinion offensive.

It makes me laugh how two people can take one line , her answer to why she likes moderately priced line Free People and one says she’s spoil and the other says she’s cheap. You get the feeling that their just waiting for her to say anything to tear her apart.

I think that one of the keys in a relationship is to have enough things in common to make sure that things don’t get boring and so that you can enjoy doing things together, but also have enough different interest and such to make sure that you don’t get so dependent of the others that you start suffocating things, and I think that we have seen that in Z and V and so many other couples out there.

Eh, #143, you do realise that fire-fighters are the once that would risk their own lives running into burning buildings, climb up fierce heights, and deals with explosive gas after accident that can take millions of lives if anything goes wrong, trust me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a fire fighter, actually, I would be proud (as I’m sure Vanessa is) to have someone like that in their lives. And Zac’s dad’s job as an engineer is also important but that doesn’t somehow makes it any more honourable, heck, even if one of their dad’s would be a janitor it would mean something because their family (besides, who do you thin clean up out mess and make sure that everything works in our schools or at our works?)
