Went is very quiet and a bit of a loner. This is not news, he has expressed this about himself before. If your 2 friends think he is snobby, he’s not. He’s a very nice guy.

As for calling his fangirls “crazies”, well WE ARE!!! He probably thinks we’re crazy to love him so much because he’s so modest. He doesn’t think he’s ALL THAT, but we know better!!! lol

No matter he is gay or not, I don’t care at all.

Amber: I wanted to laugh at your post, but I shall try and respect you. Your so called friend has no freaking idea what he is talkinga about. I meet wentworth when he was in Stockholm earlier this year, I work at the hotel he stayed at. I have only good words to say about him, the man is beyond polite and gorgeous to anyone he comes in contact with. Eveyone at the hotel, the press who was there only said good thinsg about him, I talked with him and he was the most sweet celebrity I have meet, and trust me I have meet tonz of them.

You should have seen how nice he was to all his fans who where standing outside the hotel.

And if you have been reading about Wentworth you would have know that about anybody who has eveer meet him only have nice things to say about him.

So spill your crap somewhere else..thank you.

Hello everyone.I just wanted to chime in. I think some of you are being unfair towards Amber. Let me explain why –she’s not totally wrong. Wentworth is not a snob though, but he doesn’t think highly of fans either.

Remember in season 2, when Michael goes to get his car from this towing place, and mahone calls the towing place just as he is there. Remember “Chuck”? He’s the guy who was taking care of the towing place? Well, i dated “Chuck” (real name Chris Berry) for awhile, and was in fact kinda dating him at the time he was filming PB. Anyway, the point is to tell you that Chris spent an enormous amount of time working with Wentworth - that scene was pretty important to that episode, and i believe Chris spent about 2 full days with Wentworth, and another 1/2 day. And the only actors around for that scene was my then boyfriend and Wentworth, and eventhough Chris was the one who didn’t know any of the crew, and he was feeling out of place and a little overwhelmed, it was Wentworth who made sure he was okay, and talked to talk to him, and in fact, maybe because there weren’t other actors around, Wentworth was rather open and did not have a problem being chatty with Chris.

If you remember the scene, there were no extras around, and chris said the crew wasn’t so big either, so it was a rather cosy intimate setting. He said that Wentworth and him would chat, and even eat their meals together because Wentworth knew Chris didn’t know anyone there, and he tried his best to make sure chris was comfortable ——– that hardly sounds like a snob.

I know it might not look it, cos “Chuck” was all dirty and uneducated in the show, but chris in real life is nothing like that, and i think that is why they got along. On the last day, chris was only needed for 1/2 day work, and after that, Wentworth was free, and Wentworth actually bought my friend dinner! I guess he was sick of set-food, and took chris out to dinner, and paid for it, and everything. Again, this doesn’t sound like someone snobbish.

One time, a PA needed to go buy something - some wire or gadget or something for another Wentworth scene, and this was during their downtime, and Wentworth said to the PA that he’ll drive and get it. The PA herself looked shocked because no actor would be driving around buying props!!!!!!! And Chris went with Wentworth, cos they knew what and where to get that stuff. Don’t ask me what it was, it was some ‘guy’ thing and the PA being a girl had no idea. So, again, Wentworth is very giving. And by the way, at the mall, he bought himself and Chris a starbucks drink - i am sure you saw that coming a mile away, didn’t you? He he he. Really, this man is not proud or snobbish in the least, he’s very selfless and giving.

However, Amber is right in one thing, because Wentworth was so popular back then, when chris and him were filming season 2, and girls would come up to Wentworth in front of Chris, later the two of them would talk about this. Wentworth doesn’t understand the intensity and yes “craziness” of some of his fans. He can’t understand girls buying posters of him, or wanting to look and gawk at him, or dream and talk about him constantly, he feels it is all very strange. He doesn’t have any experience with women - (yes, a surprise, right), and according to Chris, he finds it overwhelming just talking to girls, period. So, when strangers come up to him drooling and excited and wanting to touch him and talk to him, he is even more overwhelmed than stars out there. But being overwhelmed aside, i think he doesn’t grasp why fans are so taken and act so intensely. He does find it crazy that people would waste time discussing him, and posting pictures, and going ga-ga over him, he thinks that fans like that should find better things to do in life, i think he did say to chris that they are probably unfulfilled in life, and see this as a distraction, but he seemed worried that it was not normal behavior, to him. Even then, he was rather concerned about these type of fans. So i wouldn’t say, oh he thinks of you as crazy, and that’s it. I think he is genuinely concerned about your “craziness”.

And i have met him, if you’re wondering. Chris and i are now just friends, no longer dating, and in january we were lunching and Wentworth walked in. He immediately walked over and patted Chris on the back, and they both started ‘bickering’ about how each didn’t keep in touch! (They exchanged contacts back then, but Chris i know has been busy). Wentworth is good looking, tall, athletic, and i can see, as a woman myself, why you fans are so taken. I am not the “fannish” type, so i can’t really relate to your needs to read everything about him or post about him all the time or whatever, but he is an attractive man, and very sweet, he was alone, and spoke to me, and i was shocked when chris introduced me, Wentworth said “Oh the GF!”-amazing how he remembered(so no snob), but i had to correct him that we weren’t dating anymore.

Oh, and don’t tell Wentworth, but i love reading celebrity gossip. I don’t do the fannish things, or join fansites, or go find or stalk celebs and want to touch them or anything…….but i am here on justjared reading the goss everday, he he he. Chris always makes fun of me, and thinks i am weird too. But i just love knowing about hollywood goss - i’m a big busybody basically. That’s how i stumbled onto this thread by the way. Usually i don’t post unless an issue is burning me up inside.

But i am a hollywood goss fan, i buy all those mags too - US Weekly, and People and others. So, just wanted to say, you can’t please them all, can you? If reading or posting about Wentworth makes your day, then do it. But don’t overdo it, i suppose. I am here for all of 10 minutes a day, and i read my goss mags only on the train. I don’t know if Wentworth fans who make it a point of talking/discussing/fantasizing about him fo so many hours a day have unfulfilled lives, or if you are spending too much time and focus on him, and if you are always thinking or reading or posting about him, then i think you need to examine that, because that is not normal. I also think your idol Wentworth doesn’t think it’s normal either.

Going to make this a fast reply, i have to get to the shower and get to work. No he is not gay, he is clearly interested in women. He does check out women all the time, and he has talked about women to Chris, he didn’t give any specifics so i have nothing to give you. Chris asked him if he had a GF, this was like the second day. He said, no, never. For a minute, Chris thought he was gay, but then he noticed Wentworth looking at women’s bottoms and breasts all the time - not in a leering way, but the way men do. And sorry to burst your bubble, but he also makes sexual jokes and has sexual entendres all the time. My Chris is a dirty minded man and they did enchange some lewd jokes! He is quick also to point out to Chris which girl has nice bodies and which girl has pretty faces. He’s not a monk, he clearly gets excited over women, and appreciates women who are attractive. I don’t mean he wants to marry them of course, but he notices them. No, he is definitely not gay.

And when i met him, he was totally flirting with me, from the handshake to the wave at the end. Then he flirted with the waitress who brought him his take away. The man is a natural flirt. When he first came in, it was a waiter who took his order - a very good looking man that i couldn’t take my eyes off - and Wentworth couldn’t be bothered with him, he just said his order. Whereas, when this pretty waitress came with his order, he totally flirted with her. I don’t think she knew who he has though, ha!
