With all due respect, I find your argument irrelevant. That’s like saying that if everyone else is doing , what difference does it make if so-and-so does it? Well, if so-and-so is a public figure who says he or she is against ‘it’ and repeatedly claims to admire and respect other people who don’t engage in ‘it,’ and whose public image and popularity are based partly on NOT doing ‘it’, then so-and-so will take a bigger fall for that behavior than he or she would have had that person just been honest and up front about it, or if he/she had never put the info out there to begin with. Other actors and celebs doing the fake/phony/Pr tango or lying to their fans doesn’t ease up the choices Orlando has possibly made to do so. Sorry, but I don’t agree with your point of view here.

If I go on public record as a celeb claiming I don’t smoke, drink or take drugs, or that I believe in honor and integrity, etc, and I repeatedly mention fellow actors whom I look up to for similar behavior and personal/professional choices, only to turn around and contradict my words with hypocritical behavior, my fans will hold me accountable for it. Some will leave my fanbase, and some will remain. That’s all there is to it. And the choice is ultimately up to each fan to make.

I’m not telling other people what to think here, but I do sense that some posters are trying to let Orlando off the hook rather than hold him accountable for his choices over the years. We all have to be held accountable for our choices, actions and behavior - movie stars and celebs and public figures included. And with nearly 10 years of industry experience and the resources of PMK/HBH behind him, Orlando is no exception to the rule, in my book.

It is not a God complex as you put it to expect people to be accountable for their words and deeds. And you seem to be taking this rather personally yourself, so much so that you make long posts telling us how we shouldn’t feel the way we do. This is an idle pass time. Fun, amusing and harmless. I have a feeling he would much rather people be talking about him then not, at least that shows they are still interested. When the boards about him fall silent, when nothing is posted about his life, or sightings of him are ignored and pictures can’t be sold because no one cares, I think he be bothered, and I bet his PR people would be upset. Most celebrities, and that is what he is at the moment care a great deal that they are still sought after and talked about. Maybe it would be best if we just totally ignored him, but I wonder how many directors would be interested if he fell totally off the radar screen, so much so that he couldn’t pay someone to take pap pictures and try to sell then, because no one wanted to hear about Orlando Bloom anymore. I think he is well on the way to that at the moment. Maybe it all came so easy and fast he doesn’t realize that in a just a couple of years he could just have been that guy who played Legolas in LOTR, what was his name again.

I think that when he got big that he was sold the idea that because most who were interested in him were teenagers that he should sell a squeaky clean image. I totally agree I would have preferred he should have sold himself for what he is. A fairly normal guy who likes woman and likes to party. Nothing wrong with that, and I also agree it might have helped widen his appeal. I wish he has done that. I don’t think it matters what image is sold as long as it is at least somewhat near to what the person actually is. I don’t expect him to be Legolas, but I think a lot of people did and his pr people took advantage of those who wanted the heroic elf or pirate and they did and his fans a disservace by selling him that way. Maybe he was too young and new to swim against the tide, but he isn’t now and I would like to see him for who he really is. My problems with him now is all the info about him comes with Miranda and he isn’t working and he is allowing himself to be a celebrity and pr to run his life. I hope he gets back to work manages his own image and stops playing coy games with woman and press.

You got a point GEVW, I dont think he always lied, you know about his image I dont think he is a scum bag, but he is not a innicent boy who dosent know better. In a way I think he has changed I dont think he was always like this, I know he likes to party and woman, (which is fun but not a good mixture at some aspects) but I keep thinking this is a phase I doubt he will continue this for the rest of his career their is a time in everyones life when they need to change their life and grow up. I think one day hopfully soon that he will start to see all this hollywood scene bs is not good or him. He is a grown man and should know better, but some poeple it takes them longer to grow up. The material items, clubbing, random woman he is seen with and even MK they dont seem to help his situation or benifit him at all.

I truley hope one day this will end and he will go back to working on good films with more than just meaningless action films, and more depth that will show off all his hard work he had done in drama school, he didnt do all that for nothing. I belieave he is a hard working, he is deslexic and went to specail needs class and he worked hard to get through school on his own, he is a very deturmend man. I do bealeave he could do better at time but this is allup to him, I will still be a fan because I want to be optimystic and hopeful. He kinda now seems to be more of a celeb than and actor with all the stuff he has been pulling lately and I think this isnt really him, imo he seems more ate peace with his family and friends more than going out to some big wig hollywood event. And also imo I think he does enjoy his privacy, he can disapear whenever he wants and when the paps do find him does he look really happy, no, he looks annyoed and angry most of the time who wouldnt. I think that he and Miranda just wasnt serious and it was just something he did without true reason, because when they are together you dont feel like they are truley in love he has a fake smile on his face and Kerr is poising around with a grin ear to ear for them. She really isnt his type of woman either she has displayed that with most of her actions so far, displaying personal info and pics of him, the coy little remarks about him, she always talks about him even the VS poeple wanted to shut her up about it, she just has a very questionable past about her that doesnt sound right. Mainly her relationship with her ex’s all seem strange to me and she seems to have bad relationships with men.

Sure she is pretty but she seems like nothing else is going on with her, she dosent seem like a solid person she seems to be the type to just latch on to poeple and use them until the next best thing arives. And for real true love I hope he finds a woman who he can communicate with and relate to with and can also help him put his feet on the ground after floating around for a few years, a woman who respects and values him as a actorand a man and will not use him for her own benifit. deep down I think he is a good man he seems so caring and creative and thoughtfull, like when he went to the UNICEF trip, that shocked me, I remember everyone on Olove was talking about how cute he look and they freacked when they saw his boxer shorts, but to me that didnt matter what mattered to me was that he cared and concerned for the children and families in need and he helped out which was most important. I also think that one ay he will settle down somwhere peace and away from it all and have kids, he look bueatiful with kids he does. Maybe he is waiting for the right one to come along and when she does I will support that. Sorry if it is to long these are just my opinion.
