Ugly Betty Heads to the Big Apple

ABC is moving production for Ugly Betty from Los Angeles to New York next season, reports TV Guide.

The East Coast move will help cut production costs (”It’s generally cheaper to shoot in the city you’re trying to portray”) and give the show a more authentic New York feel.

Better yet, costars Vanessa Williams and Ana Ortiz are both from NY and Michael Urie graduated from Julliard.
