David A has does the best w/ the voice he has - but it’s just not enough!! he voice SO GENERIC and FORGETTABLE. It’s sad to watch how hard he tries and how the tweens and ladies 30+ who vote for David A vote only because they totally lust after him. Vote for the talent people, not who you want to date.

Syesha has more talent than all of the remaining contestants put together. In a true talent competittion she would win but since this is American Idol David Archuleta will take the title.

Not surprised by Syesha definitely should’ve gone home. Her performances are technically fine but there is just something disingenuine about her that irks me–the cliche-laden tirade tonight about how her song relates to her own journey, politics, civil rights…oy.

Jason brought something really unique and fresh to the show and I will really miss his performances and his wonderfully awkward soundbites.

hmm syesha is still there b/c she’s the only girl…i think there is at least 1 girl out of the other 5 who probably deserve to be there still instead of her but whatev. it’s going to be david vs. david in the finals no doubt about it. poor syesha has no chance, she’s just there b/c it would never be a top 3 of guys. jason castro delivered some good performances earlier in the season, but he started slipping, just like brooke white. David Cook is the most consistent, even more so than Archuleta.

This show pisses me off. Every season they start out kissing certain contestants asses, and then as soon as they decide someone else is a better choice to pimp, they drop-kick the previous chosen one. for example, this season they were pimping out carly smithson majorly, and then as soon as they started to catch on about david cook, they threw carly under the bus. david archuleta has always been one of the chosen ones for the top 2. every year they play with the viewers heads to manipulate who they want to be in the finals. can’t wait for several years down the road after the show is cancelled, when contestants write juicy tell-alls about the shadiness of AI.

I sure hope that Syesha’s fans come and rally around her next week — enough to rival those of the mindless, rabid Archuletta fans to finally get that goofy-toothed, awkward, mediocre-talented, crazy stage dad-controlled wannabe Idol outta here enough to finally get him gone so that this would be a true contest of the final two who are on par with each other in terms of talent.

I mean Jason’s gone from good to bad to worse! He was good and unique the first time around… but after every single week? nah… he’s just a pretty face!

Yes, Syesha has a powerful voice although it tends to be uncontrolled when she starts singing the high notes. To quote Simon, “It was shriek-y”… So when you think about Divas out there (Imagine Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, etc) with powerful voices which are also controlled, where does she really stand? She’s got talent and I acknowledge that… but is it enough? For me… NO.

David A on the other hand has a good and angelic voice. His voice sounds clear. What I like about him is that he doesn’t force his voice on a genre that he will never sound good in. If his genre is pop ballad, then he changes the arrangement to suit his voice. Which I think is a very risky but wise decision. Over-all he’s good… A possible match to David Cook, however, some of his song choices were quite err forgetable….

David C is your typical rock star.. with all the appeal and creativity that goes with it. Raspy and at times hoarse, your typical rock star voice with a little edge… As can be heard in “music of the night”,he can control his voice (and not just shout it out… as what most artists do). All in all, he IS the AMERICAN IDOL…

david archuleta is da bomb,i hope he takes this whole thing as does everyone I know..and no we arent little teeney boppers. Im 20, a straight guy and a proud david a supporter! rock it out little man!

Jason had a huge personality, I LOVED his goofy-ness and just like he said was “lacking in the experience department“. He would’ve gone far he kept pulling out performances like “Over the Rainbow” and “Hallelujah”, anyway, I know it’s his time and God, will he be missed like crazy!

I agree with some of the people here, Michael and Carly should have been in the top 5.
Syesha, I mean there’s no denying she’s got talent and I think she’d be better in musical theatre. Hey, it’s not my perfect top 3, but fingers crossed for a David&David finale! They deserve it!

why a lot of people hate david archuleta i dont know. Hes an amazing singer, especially for 17, and no one believes his ” im so surprised im still in the competition” act. Well thats how he is, he is real and sweet. his voice is so mature, way beyond his years. So if you dont like daivd, and have nothing good to say, dont say anything at all because its not fair to the people that do love him. That goes for all the contestans as well. I’m not saying you dont have the right of speech, but its making the fans of the contestans some people are putting down feel even worse. And go write it somewhere else if you dont like contestants like a journal or something.
I think they are all very talented, though I do want david archuleta to win. :)

How did Jason last this long? What a rip-off. Carly should still be in the line up - another rip-off. She was the only major talent on this rediculouls excuse for a talent show. After she left, I left.

David A can sing great but he is too young and looks so nervous it makes me cringe. David Cook is barely mediocre when it come to potential. And his hair! What a joke. Looks like a comic book wanna be rock star. I liked the Aussie much better.

so sad he had to leave….the final 3 has never been my fav contestant ( but if i really have to choose it would be d.cook). if only michael johns didn’t get voted off….not let just pray d.arch wouldn’t win AI, can’t stand his voice…..
