Angelina Jolie to Have Twin Girls?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be adding twin girls to their growing brood in July, reports Star.
“Brad can’t wait — he absolutely adores little girls,” says a family insider. “And Angelina just loves seeing him and the other kids so excited and happy.”
But apparently there are some pregnant complications!
“Angie got out of bed and was halfway across the room when she passed out and fell,” says the insider. “Brad heard her hit the floor — hard — and he rushed to her side. She came around pretty quickly, and the medical team that has been traveling with her, a doctor and a nurse, got her back into bed and started checking her vitals.”
In March, Life & Style reported that Angie is also going to have fraternal twins, a boy and a girl.
Who’s going to be right?? Are twin boys out of the question??

PARIS — The Festival de Cannes is getting a post-60th birthday face lift with a series of restored copies of old films set to screen at the fifth annual Cannes Classics sidebar, organizers said Wednesday.
Manoel de Oliveira, who will turn 100 in December, will preside over the 2008 Cannes Classics and screen his first film, “Douro, Faina Fluvial,” while the Cinematheque Francaise will present the world premiere of its Technicolor restoration of Max Ophuls’ last movie, “Lola Montes.”
Martin Scorcese’s nonprofit World Cinema Foundation will sponsor three restored screenings, including Metin Erksan’s “Susuz Yaz,” presented by Fatih Akin. Warner Bros. will celebrate 85 years of studio success with a screening of Richard Schickel’s documentary “You Must Remember This: A History of Warner Bros.” and a “Warner screening” every night at the Cinema de la Plage.
The festival also will present select titles not able to be screened in 1968 when the fest was closed down by French directors in support of national student protests. Carlos Saura will present “Peppermint Frappe” and Claude Lelouch will present a restored copy of his “13 Jours en France.”

(To Moms everywhere, one of the most influential person in your life. The shape, mold and give you a good talking to when you get out of line.)
Finally, in a direct about-face from my normal view of celebrities, I must recognize the selfless actions of Hollywood’s biggest celebrity couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. At number 21, under “Heroes and Pioneers”, Pitt and Jolie are recognized for their tireless efforts to bring aid and relief to those who have suffered hardships, either from natural disasters or through Governments bent on genocide to rid their countries of “unwanted” religions or tribal sects. They have been ambassadors for peace in Darfur, brought aid and money to those affected by earthquakes in Pakistan and by hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, as well as tending to sick and starving children in Africa. They truly practice what they preach, devoting their time and money to causes that so many others “talk” about contributing to, but never get around to it. And in a time when it seems celebrities only do good deeds for the publicity it generates, Pitt and Jolie appear to carry out most of these acts of kindness under the media radar, not wanting to shift focus off of the cause and on to themselves. I rarely ever agree with most celebrities when it comes to politics, but I know good character when I see it and these two have more than their share of it.
Who would you put on the list? Is there someone who has influenced you in your life, who you thinks deserves such recognition? For me there is no question; it is my mother. Having raised eight children (all born within a ten-year period) by herself, working two jobs to provide the essentials for us while rarely having anything nice for herself, she taught me all the morals and values I carry with me today, as well as some others I can never hope to display in the selfless and dignified way she has shown. Here’s to you, Mom.

Clip joint: On beauty
This week, savour our beauty pageant of cinematic web morsels on the theme of pulchritude. Who is the fairest of them all?
May 8, 2008 7:00 AM
One of the most beauty-fuelled industries in the world outside of Mick Jagger’s alimony arrangements, cinema is sometimes reluctant to reflect on the meaning of this (beauty is always its own justification). But occasionally in a film, the glare on a famous visage grows just too strong; the face supersedes its owner and becomes a kind of trenchantly cheekboned, transcendent statement on the nature of this obsession. So, this week, try not to post clips of your pin-up du jour; aim for scenes that work as commentary on the lure of perfection.
1) I bet a lot of people would have picked Angelina Jolie rather than Diane Kruger when casting for Helen of Troy, antiquity’s answer to FHM Sexiest Woman of the Year. Jolie’s beauty is too unruly, though; Kruger fits more into the blonde, classically subservient depiction of the role - here reduced to mute, cute cutaways as Menelaus and Paris scrap it out for the prize (her).

Elsewhere on the list, Pitt was cited for his help in rebuilding New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Economic development success and green development initiatives help put Govs. Mike Beebe of Arkansas, Matt Blunt of Missouri and Charlie Crist of Florida on the list.
The Birmingham-based magazine also named German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp’s plans to build a steel plant near Mobile as its No. 1 economic development story for the year, and No. 6 was a story about Alabama’s economy.

Good Morning all: I hope everyone have a great day and make it a MIR day. Now that we have gotten “it ain’t her” out of the way, I wish AJ a happy and healthy delivery. Tabs will be in overdrive guessing the due date, twins?, location and writing their lies and fan fiction for the haters. However, the good thing about the Jolie-Pitts is they continue to live their lives and raise their children the way they see fit and not the “best Moms” that ever commented on a blog. Have a great day and thanks for the updates Just Jared, the Amazing Wizard of Oz. Peace to all.
Correction: They shape and mold you, talking about Moms of course. Peace to all.

Of return at the end of the aprés-midday in the VAr, they regained the property of Paul Allen or they reside since April 28 (see news). The children had remained with the nanny, the swimming pool it is much more amusing! Did Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were trés smiling while going down from the apparatus… find the house of their dreams? If, as we you announce it yesterday (see news), Angelina waits many binoculars, it will be necessary to find, quickly, a large house to place all this small world

By the way — just wanted to point out that the poll above, was one that I would wager to bet most JJ JP fans didn’t even know about - considering it’s ‘Lifetime,’ territory..what several of us may have considered Maniston territory (guess we’re wrong about that, no one now likes Maniston..bahahah) — but anyone - we didn’t know about it, didn’t vote, and Angelina STILL crushed the competition.
This is in answer to the hater(s) who came on to JJ and accused us of voting for AJ in every poll she wins.
There are lots she wins where we have no idea, this was one.
Thanks for the morning news bdj!! You rock!
Thanks bdj! Yet again you have supplied us with a streem of interesting articals. It is so nice to read real and positive stories about our favorite family.
FOR A COUPLU THAT PRIDES THEMSELVES ON BEING ABLE TO FLY UNDER THE RADAR (w/loyal staff). IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME WHAT THE TRASHLOIDS CALL SO-CALLED INSIDER SOURCES.
IT’S ONE THING TO FAINT ON A FILM SET … BUT, UNLESS THEY HAVE CARRIER PIGOENS IN THIER BEDROOM — IT’S OBVIOUS THAT THESE TRASHLOIDS WILL PRINT ANYTHING (on the front cover) JUST TO SELL THEIR RAGS.
NO WONDER CELEBS HAVE STARTED SUING THEM FOR LYING!
I have never seen a sillier animation than the one on YouTube. It might be good for children under the age of 5 but it can give nothing to intelligent adults. Not to mention that “tough luck, haters” reveals a huge amount of intolerance for anyone who doesn’t swoon right away for the JP. Most “haters” are people who couldn’t have cared less if the JP love or hate each other - they simply have a good laugh with the extreme obsession of their fans.
in that cartoon, Angelina looks like a smart fox who knows what she wants and Brad looks like a dupe deserving of his fate. The part with him playing the guitar was the most hilarious - he looked stupid and that won’t win him any new hearts out there.
I can’t believe how far some people go in their fascination with this story. If it keeps your life full, guys, then OK. But if your day begins with “Good morning to all the fans” and “Thanks Jared for the new pictures”, then you’re having issues with your own love lives. If their love story is the biggest love you ever felt, all I can do is feel sorry for all of you. That makes me a hater, right? I couldn’t have cared less.
I guess you’ll ask what I am doing here if I say that? Nothing, just enjoying myself with other people’s immaturity because nothing can be funnier. Have a good day!

Off topic: AID TO BURMA
I tried to post a message earlier today but somehow could not do so. so I’m trying again
Burma has been hit by a massive cyclone. As I write, more than 100,000 people are estimated to be dead. Millions more affected. Large swaths of the Irrawaddy Delta are still under water.
Aid is urgently needed. Food, medical supplies, clean water, are essential or the death toll will rise even further as the survivors succumb to disease such as dysentry and typhus.
Here is a list of UN agencies and NGO’s who are trying to provide aid.
thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/05/07/myanmar-disaster-relief-how-to-contribute/index.html?ref=asia
(please add the http:// to the above address which I won’t do here because when I tried to post earlier, I couldn’t get it through JJ’s site and I think it might be because I was trying to post a link)
I’ve been following the developments in this crisis carefully. Initially, it was thought that only one to 2 thousand people were killed but that number has climbed massively as the scale of the disaster became known internationally. Unfortunately, the burmese Junta have been less then open in revealing the scale of this disaster and in allowing aid to flow to the people. That is not a surprise. However, they are now starting to accept international Aid.
To be honest, I had been very cautious about making donations to this disaster because I really wanted my donation to reach the people and not be siphoned off by the Burmese military junta who are a bunch of rapacious crooks. Now that these well respected agencies and NGOs (listed in that link) are getting involved, I do believe (or would like to believe, that the aid will reach the people in need.
So please, please check out that website and the links and make a contribution no matter how small. Remember, even a US$10 donation will buy a 10 kg bag of rice.
morning everyone, thanks bdj for all the articles
Thanks bdj for the news articles and links
lylian,i really feel sorry for the displaced and hungry people,i hope they get the aid they need as soon as possible

ROTFLMBAO. You fcuking trolls kill me. You spent 20 minutes typing up an insult to us! What a loser! You ass is here every day, too, and don’t even front and say you’re not. Your stench was all over the threads yesterday…and the day before…and the day before…
If you’re looking to laugh at immaturity…get your ass to a mirror. No mature adult gallavants to a blog first thing in the morning to snark condescendingly at others. And look at the time on this post - 9:10AM EDT. Your ass is prolly in Cali where it was only 6:10AM! So somebody’s got some maturity issues here…but it ain’t us.

Lylian, I have been following the news as well and it is heartbreaking to see the disaster and the devastation that is going on there, my heart goes out to the people of that country and to survivors and also to the family of the thousands of thousands that have died. I still can’t believe the amount of people that have died and still missing. It is so sad. I will definitely make a donation. This is what people should be talking about and trying to help instead of trashing people and been hateful. God Bless the people of Myanmar. They are in my prayers and thoughts

Yes I hope gets to the people too.
The scale of this disaster is only matched by the disaster in Banda Aceh in Sumatra which was next to the epicentre of the earthquake which caused the tsunami.
It’s all very worrying. Like many food commodities, the price of rice is at its highest in a long time. The price of rice has trebled according to reports and rice stocks are at it’s lowest in years. Reports are starting to come in that since the flooding of the Irrawaddy region - a major rice growing area, rice stocks will be down even further. Some (but unclear to what extent) rice fields are flooded with sea water and cannot be planted for a period of time.
However, just so that people can put their donations into perspective, I checked the commodity prices for rice, wheat and corn in the commodities market over the last few days (amounts only close approximations).
US$21 cents can purchase 100 pounds (roughly 45 kgs) of rice as at 6 May 2008.
US$15 will buy 60 pounds (roughly 26kg) of wheat ; and
US$6 cents will buy 56 pounds of corn.
So even a small sum will make the difference between starvation and hope.
