”Kung Fu Panda” Characters Kick into Kohl’s for a Limited Time
Kohl’s Cares for Kids(R) and DreamWorks Animation team up to benefit children’s health and education nationwide

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Through the Kohl’s Cares for Kids(R) philanthropic program, fans of DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.’s (NYSE:DWA) “Kung Fu Panda” can share the exciting and heartwarming tale again and again. Now through June, Kohl’s will offer the “Kung Fu Panda” movie storybook and three corresponding plush characters for just $5 each to benefit children’s initiatives.

Based on the DreamWorks Animation film that comes to theaters on June 6th, the “Kung Fu Panda” book will teach children that sometimes the most unlikely person can be a hero and if you believe in your dreams, you can achieve them. The movie and corresponding storybook feature Po, an enthusiastic panda who dreams of becoming a kung fu master like his idols, the legendary Furious Five. Po learns kung fu and uses his new skills to defend the Valley of Peace and turn his dreams into reality.

“‘Kung Fu Panda’ is a funny and heartwarming story that demonstrates how dreams can become reality, which is a lesson we’ve learned firsthand through Kohl’s Cares for Kids,” said Julie Gardner, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Kohl’s Department Stores. “By donating 100 percent of the Kohl’s Cares for Kids net profits, Kohl’s has been able to achieve amazing things for kids nationwide.”

At Kohl’s, 100 percent of the net profits from sales of the storybook and plush Po, Shifu, and Tigress characters will benefit children’s health and education nationwide. Since its inception in 2000, Kohl’s Cares for Kids has offered more than 60 limited-time-offer books and raised more than $102 million for children’s initiatives.

Common joins “Terminator” cast

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Rapper Common will have a starring role in the upcoming fourth installment of the “Terminator” series, “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.”

The Chicago MC will play a freedom fighter named Barnes who is defending the human race against a machine that aims to destroy it.

Common will also appear in the action thriller “Wanted,” which stars James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman and is scheduled for release in June.

While some students use summer to take a mental break, others will immerse themselves in the culture, homes and very humid weather of New Orleans.

Ecotourism and Voluntourism have never been so popular.

And now there are “Nawleanteers,” a term used by San Diego State student Adam Kronenberg that comes from the phrase: “New Orleans volunteer,” spoken with a Louisiana accent.

Kronenberg is one of the founders of College Students for New Orleans. A few weeks ago, he stood in front of a classroom with fellow founder Mark Kellner as they made their case for volunteering.

Erica Arthur was one of three people who attended the meeting. The English major said she wanted to help after Hurricane Katrina hit the coast, but the Red Cross didn’t have any open positions.

“As an American, I feel like I have a responsibility to help the people over there. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and now I finally have an opportunity to do that,” Arthur said.

You know, I enjoy seeing what the celebrities are up to, I just would like to find a site that isn’t hateful and immature (like Perez) or one that doesn’t go to underhanded means to report (like just jared) what’s up with buying these pictures???? that is an invasion of their privacy–I don’t care whether they are celebrities–they don’t deserve to have their private life invaded like this–I thought I had found a good place to see what the celebs were up to–but clearly this is not the place!

Sorry you are disappointed. However, there are a million blogs in the blog sphere(cyberspace). Just Jared is a friendly site for the Jolie-Pitts and many fans congregate here. No site is perfect and many celebrities have their privacy invaded(just ask Brit Brit) BP and AJ know the fame game and the joy of their family, humanitarian work and craft outweighs a lot. Don’t make it right but there are choices. Happy hunting.

Good morning all. Love the new pics! They look so sweet. Brad and Angie are not photo hogs just trying to live their lives. As I have said in the past we are only getting a small snap shot of their lives but really have no idea. Why Brad has hat on, don’t know. Only Brad and Angie knows. Looks like one of the nannies is black. Looks like Mad and Shi were out on the balcony. But not sure.
