Just Jared must be the only website where people who dislike Miranda go to vent! I haven’t seen any other website that speaks ill of her. All I can say is the people who come here and belittle her obviously are jealous scanky little people who don’t have anything better to do. If you knew Miranda you would know that she is totally amazing and an inspirational, very intelligent person. I have met her actually, in a professional capacity, and I can stand by what I think and say here and now: she is a manipulative woman, she turns on the sweet act- yes she does that very well, but I have heard lots about her in the business that I am in, and some is rather bad, and before you say I am a liar and jealous I am a 35 year old man, I always read the “models” threads on blogs and comment, and here I am.

Miranda Kerr though in my opinion isn’t to blame. At the end of the day, I would say her parents have brought her up the way they have. I maybe in the business but I am totally against children under 16 used in swimwear and totally unclothed shots- that is far from normal, it has conditioned a probably once verysweet and innocent Miranda Kerr into an ambitious cunning woman who is just desperate to climb the fame ladder, it is a shame. She has stepped on a lot of people- some my friends and collegues to get where she is now.
While Miranda is a decent model, the thing is she hasn’t that little bit extra to make it to the ranks of Gisele Bundchen for example(who is simply delightful by the way), but I guess Miranda won’t see it like that, nor will her agents and her parents who are also pushing her to go higher, and I think it is a crying shame because when this girl doesn’t reach that status she will have and feel such a huge let down that will be hard to rise from and admit you were out of your depth.

Actually, no, it’s you Miranda LOVERS who are becoming “so predictable.” And what’s with the labeling? “Haters”. How about instead of “haters,” we simply say “People who don’t buy into the media hype and PR” of Miranda, Orlando, Celebrity-X, etc. And yes, I believe this Tony guy is legitimate. He wasn’t nasty, rude or condescending. He didn’t act like he had something to prove. He didn’t sound desperate. He gave his opinion and his professional observations - in a very polite, intelligent and respectful fashion, I might add.

I wore a bikini as a child and a teenager, but I would never have felt comfortable posing nude or semi nude in front of photographers, and my parents would not have allowed me to do so at such a young age. When a girl is at least 18 or 19, maybe she’s mature enough to make such a decision for herself, but even those ages are rather young. With all the sickos out there, you can never be too careful.

Miranda’s parents obviously have no problems with media exposure, as demonstrated by the WireImage lunch photos and the Getty Museum pap shots. They don’t seem to mind being seen and photographed by the paparazzi. Miranda’s agent had no problem strongly implying that she and Orlando might eventually hook up, and that was while Miranda was still with Jay. Ambition and manipulation don’t seem too far fetched as words that might apply to Miranda and her parents. Sorry, but that’s just my opinion.

I see Miranda as a model and a woman who wants as much media exposure as she can get. As she once said, she’s trying to play her cards right and wants to be set for life. I don’t fault her for having ambition, but ambition must also be balanced by strength of character, morals and some sense of ethics. I get the impression that people are expendable in Miranda and Orlando’s world. I believe that each has used others for their own ends and personal or professional agendas at one time or another, so I’m of the opinion they deserve each other. Users end up with users, manipulators end up with manipulators, cheaters end up with cheaters. Again, that’s just my opinion. If that makes me a “hater,” that’s fine.

Thanks Tony for being honest! I believe you. While Miranda’s parents played a role in her development, it’s time for Miranda to accept personal responsibility for her own actions, conduct, choices, and behavior in general. There comes a point where we can’t blame our parents anymore for who and what we are. She’s an adult. Same goes for Orlando.

It’s not considered unprofessional when you praise people you work with, but very unprofessional and unethical when you bad mouth them. Several people have asked why Orlando lets Miranda do all the talking about their relationship. Obviously I can only speculate here, but I suspect if this really is just a PR relationship then Orlando is left in the awkward position of not wanting to tell the truth but not wanting to lie either. He’s always been a private person (at least since he became famous) when it comes to relationships. In a Rolling Stone interview the conversation he had about girls with the interviewer was “off the record” and that’s all the interviewer could say. In a Details interview he told the interviewer, “I suppose now you’re going to ask me who I’m dating.” Then he changed the subject before the question could even be asked. Clearly, he doesn’t like talking about this stuff whereas Miranda does, so he’s let her take over. I think he’s in a difficult position and I don’t envy him for it.

My point to you all is that you should never judge anyone based on anything anybody else says or writes about them. Sure, everyone has a right to have an opinion but make that opinion count by having it come from an educated standing, not just the hype you read in the tabloids or the crap you read on websites - surely this makes sense?

Just a little footnote. Miranda didn’t officially start modelling until she left school in 2000. She moved to Sydney 2001 when she was 18. Even then she didn’t model lingerie until she was around 22 (she has just turned 25) as she was doing more magazine work , swimwear and did Australian Fashion week which never involved lingerie. She headed to Paris and Milan but that was only after her mother recovered from an illness. She didn’t really get into modelling lingerie until she started with VS (there were a couple of lingerie shoots she did at the young age of 22 in Australia before heading to NY). My question to Tony is, where did you get your facts from because they aren’t facts and I ask you to provide your details as I am more than happy to check you out if you give me the opportunity.

Give me a break. Plenty of stars manage to lead private lives and stay out of the “media circus” and they live in the heart of the media circus L.A. You can’t possibly live in a media circus if you don’t know that in some instances stories are planted and paparazzi shots are set up. #93 Rose just gave you some very viable reasons for not liking what it is that Miranda is doing.
