OlderMariah Carey & Nick Cannon Step Out For Time 100
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon make their first public appearance together as a newly married couple at Time’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Thursday.
Mariah performed at the event, which celebrated the most influential people on the planet, as selected by the the mag. Afterwards, Mariah and Nick posed alongside songwriter/music producer L.A. Reid, CEO of Time Warner Richard Parsons and editor-at-large for O Magazine Gayle King.
Mariah, 38, and Nick, 27, tied the knot last week in the Bahamas. Ms. Carey will soon make her first TV appearance since marrying rapper Nick Cannon on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The show will tape Monday and air on Tuesday.
When asked by people how it feels to be married, Nick said, “It feels amazing. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. I’ve been smiling for days.”
Mariah added: It’s comforting–and something I’ve never felt before. Which is really being in love and happy with someone who really understands me and isn’t trying to do anything but make me happy. It’s wonderful.”

is it only me, or that dress mariah wearing way to skimpy.
That has got to be the best smile I have ever seen on her. It seems to really come from the heart. And he looks beyond delighted as well. I wish them well.
Nick is from NC like me and he has been in the industry way before Drumline and his other projects. His mother was his manger and luckily invested his money wisely so HE CAN HOLD HIS OWN at the bank. I hope that being married agin will help Mariah to tone it down. None the less, BEST WISHES!

I love Mariah but why in the world did she married him of all people. He’s probably just after her fame and money. Sadly I don’t see the relationship working out. She really does deserve better and he ain’t it.

Mariah doesn’t wear anything unless it is skimpy. And she is even more proud of her body these days with some recent weight loss and a good exercise routine. Good for her if she can pull it off. I do hope that she had a pre-nup before this somewhat rushed relationship and marriage.
And what the f**k with Gayle King. She is a horse-face Oprah ***** who is only famous for knowing Oprah. Oprah is smart to keep her appearances on the TV show to a minimum, and keep her behind the scenes at O Magazine. Not sure what talent she has other than riding on Oprah’s coattails and being obnoxious.

I would normally be pretty cynical about such a quickie marriage but you know they look friggin HAPPY together. I didn’t realize what a good looking couple they make. I say best of wishes to them! I’m really happy for Mariah.
And for the people who keep thinking Nick is broke……he’s quite rich. He has not only acted in a bunch of stuff but has produced it as well. And Will Smith hand-picked him to portray Arthur Ashe in the movie of his life (which is a pretty big deal in my book). He’s not hurting for a single dime.

They seem odd together. It looks like she is controlling where he is putting his hand in pictures #1 and 2. I think she will be “too much” for him and he will have a hard time being his own person. He’ll be Mr. Mariah Carey.

Mariah never could dress but I still wish her well. Maybe he can help get rid of the blue collar in her. Anyway, she deserves to be happy. I knew eventually she would end up marrying a black man.
